Morning all.  Had a day in the office yesterday on my own (train strikes meant everyone else was at home) but still didn't manage to get a lot done 🤷‍♀️😆  Took my own coffee (instant 😨) and lunch with me to be MSE and make sure I stay on track so at least that's a win.

Haven't had breakfast yet today as not feeling too great this morning but have some fruit and yogurt around if I fancy it.  Lunch is the last of my big batch of carrot and coriander soup with some bread and dinner is SW nacho style feast using some veggie chilli from the freezer.

Hope you all have a good day!

Morning all, it's been an absolute howler here with wind and rain from around 2am-ish and it's still on.  Not had a lot of sleep so grumpy and tired this morning.

I'm having a similar conversation with my parents @Coxy11 both in their late 80s, they definitely could get a lot more help than they do but my mother particularly is refusing all suggestions at the moment.

WI tomorrow and I'm optimistic for a loss, been on plan and feel a lot less bloated - no alcohol is helping!

I've managed to snag a M&S TGTG bag tonight so hoping it has some of the fruit and veg I need before I do the food shop tomorrow.

    Today's food:
B - mushroom and tomato omelette
L - last of the l/over bolognaise pasta bake! with some salad
D - pea and ham soup and ham toastie (just me for dinner so I can please myself 😁)

    Have a good day everyone!

Morning everyone, last night's zoom event on lunches was quite good. There was a lot of things talked about which I think most of us have for lunches anyway .. jacket potatoes, omelettes, cold meats with salad/pickles, leftovers from night before etc.

The host mentioned having pasta for lunch which I never really think about and there's a gorgeous looking creamy chicken pasta with veggies on the SW website. There were lots of comments about using HEA cheese like primula for a cheesy pasta sauce and adding cooked veggies which I fancy trying.

One thing I didnt know about - iceland do SW lunch bowls which look nice and filling, I dont usually shop there but think I might take a wander down to check these out. There was talk of crustless quiche and ham & egg muffins being good for lunch too as they're nice and filling. Someone in the chat mentioned egg wraps as a good substitute for bread if you've already had your HEB that day. Last time I did SW I remember having an egg wrap with bacon and tomatoes which I might have to try again.

    Today's food plan
B - weetabix HEB with HEA milk (trying the BoB milk today) and some fruit
L- cheese (HEA) and tomato omelette with spring greens
D - WW lemon chicken risotto (4.5) with salad (working late so no time to prepare anything proper!)

Syns: blue riband (4.5) maybe another options (2)

@cherry_22 A nice cheese for sauces/soups is the Vintage Spreadable one. I use Aldi's.

Like you, I forgot to get salmon out if the freezer and am going to go to Aldi on the way home for one of their Slim Well ready meals.

Which cheese is that in Aldi @VALM? Is it an own brand?

I like the Slimwell chicken tikka but determined to try and make my own curry this weekend. I'm going to do the PON bhuna.

Hope you're feeling better now @ruby_eskimo

The hotpot was delicious @Coxy11. We haven't had it for ages and really enjoyed it. I used an old recipe for Lancashire hotpot that my girls got from school cookery lessons. I used a couple of large teaspoons of cornflour to thicken the sauce so probably about 1 syn per person and some LO for me today.

Thanks for the feedback on the Zoom sessions @cherry_22. It seems SW are upping their game for online members. I'm comforted to know that we are on the right track for lunches. @bubbs often has egg wraps, especially as a weekend brunch.

I've done my meal plan and shop for the week today. 🤞🏼 for a loss tomorrow @Jellybaby (and you too @bubbs). I still feel a bit fat (well, more than a bit😉) but another week on plan should help.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, baked beans (F), ham and fried eggs (P),
    L- LO hotpot (P,S,F) with beetroot (S)
D- gammon (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips (S), cauli and broccoli cheese (S + most of HEAs)
    Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😁

Morning all, didn't really want to go out today but DH has said that he needs to fill his car up so as we're going out anyway I'll pop into Tesco and get some yoghurt as used it up last night with some grapes.  I've got a few other bits on my list so might as well do that as well but hadn't planned on doing the shopping until Monday but a couple of days early is no big deal.

@VALM - get the PON Bhuna out now so you don't forget!  It'll defrost nicely in the fridge during the day.  I usually get out anything I need the night before to defrost overnight.

I forgot to get the chickpeas out to soak early enough so cooking them now ready for tonight's dinner - I had planned on cooking them yesterday but as I forgot to soak them overnight Thursday I didn't do it until last night.  Still at least they'll be cooked ready to use later.

Good luck to everyone weighing today.

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
    L - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
    D - chana masala, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - not sure but may have a couple of G&Ts 6

    Have a good day everyone.
