    Morning!

Didn't go to bed until after midnight as the Avatar movie was looooong - but it's a really good movie if you can bear 3hrs 12mins plus trailers and ads! Woke up coughing at 4am so was up for half an hour trying to calm it down with cough mixture, throat sweets, nose blowing and water. As a result I only got up at 7.30am so now running slightly late as I need to get to WI before 9am as I'm now official on the ST for pay.

Very jealous of the HM hotpot @maman - please can you share the recipe? The sausage jambalaya is on the SW app/website. It was okay....
Glad you got the car back @bubbs but ouch to all the payments lately.
Thanks for reporting back on the lunch ideas @cherry_22 xx
Thanks also for the offer to help with AA forms @beanielou. Not sure I'm going to bother as heard from DSis yesterday that Mum is planning on breeding her dog in the summer - at 81 - feel like I just cba'd right now to try to help as clearly she doesn't need it.

Not looking good for WI - don't think I've lost anything - partly due to water retention (due on sometime in the next few days) plus haven't 'been' for a few days - sorry TMI. My body is just a law unto itself.

    Will report back later!

@VALM I've not heard of Aldi slim well meals but wow they are so low in syns, think I'll need to pay a visit and grab a few for my late night shifts when I don't have time to prep anything

@bubbs your food looks lovely, I'm not a fan of mushrooms at all but I bet my OH would inhale that cheesy garlicky mushroom dish! I'll have to give those egg wraps a go too

That sausage jambalaya looks quite nice on the SW website, I'm not a fan of the SW sausages though does anyone have any decent low syn alternatives?

    Good luck Saturday weighers!

@cherry_22 - Sainsbury do Be Good To Yourself low syn sausages for 1 syn each I think.  Aldi do a low fat sausage which is 0.5 syn each - Brannons Irish sausages 0.5 syns each; M&S do a 3% fat sausage which is also 0.5 syns.  So there are a few about.  I've got a local butcher who makes his own low fat sausages - I syn them at 1 syn although there is virtually no fat in them (nothing comes out in the pan when cooking them so I could probably get away with syncing them at 0.5 but worth synning at 1 to be on the safe side).

If you order online Muscle Foods do low fat sausages as well but think you need to order quite a bit of meat at the same time to make it worthwhile using them.

Morning all (only just!) and welcome to the weekend.

Have been food shopping this morning and Mr T's was pretty quiet.

We do try to go to Aldi now and again as the daughter likes the frozen sausage breakfast patties and I do buy the slimwell frozen meals for something quick and I do enjoy them.

Managed to get some Linda Mac's red onion sausages from Mr T's today for £1.50.  I don't always buy them, it depends on how much they are.

Speak to you all later and have a good day x

I'm back from WI with a 0.5lb loss. I'll take that. Consultant had gone to town with the refreshments and bought Pukka ginger, lemon and honey tea so I had 3 cups to soothe my poorly throat. 12 new members today. There's a great book offer with a 6 wk CD. I had a free week for my C10 today, but will purchase a CD next week.

There's a new hi fi bar - Sticky Toffee - consultant gave one to each of the ST to try.

@Abbafan1972 - if you get to Aldi they do onion and rosemary sausages which are also Syn free and much cheaper than the Linda Mc ones; in fact DH and I prefer them but unfortunately they don't always have them in my local Aldi.

Well done @Coxy11 on your loss, every little helps as they say.  We didn't have any new members at our group.  What did you think of the new hi fi bar?  I generally buy the Skinny Crunch bars in B&M as they are cheaper and just as nice, if not a bit nicer than the hifi bars!

Didn't try it at group @joedenise as a bit early for something so sweet. Have added it to my box of bars for later!

Let us know what you think of it @Coxy11 when you get round to trying it!

Change of plan for lunch - used up some mince to make some burgers so had burger and onions in WM roll.  Will have the toasted cheese sandwich tomorrow.

Used practically all my syns using up granola so next week will be fruit & yog instead. I struggle with lunch as suffer bloating with most foods. Trying a few mls of kefir probiotics with breakfast to see if that helps. Not sure on syns though.

Feel like I have my mojo back! Long may it last. 🤞🏻 I can shift the meno weight 🥺

You've done well to lose a pound @TakeItEazy . Not fun being back at school but at least t's good to get back to a routine and 'normal' eating.👍🏼

Well done on your loss @Coxy11. It's all progress. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'll take a photo of the hotpot recipe and post it in a moment. I adapted it of course. I had some super lean lamb cubes I'd bought YS a while ago. Other than the liquid and cornflour I just added the veg to suit me rather than follow the quantities exactly . I added sliced mushrooms as well and used frozen leeks. I don't flour the meat as I get more success adding a cornflour paste to the stock. I do this for gravy as well, much easier than the roux method. One tip I picked up to brown the meat is to dry it first on kitchen towel. That worked a treat.

I remembered about the curry late last night. Fortunately I'd taken the chicken out to defrost but then remembered I needed to marinate it overnight, so that's all ready for me to cook later.

It's a grim day here, all blowy and wet so I'm going nowhere. I've changed the bedding but trying to decide whether to wash it and dry indoors or wait until Monday which looks like the only dry day coming up this week. 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk for drinks, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad bits (S)
D- PON chicken bhuna (P,S), HM pilau (F)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😊
