Thanks @bubbs. I'll call into Sainsburys tomorrow. I bought some of that gammon at Christmas time and it was delicious.

Skewers look yummy. 😋 Our grass needs cutting too, can't believe how much it's grown in the last few weeks.

DH cut our grass yesterday - it really needed it and it was only done a few weeks ago!

Agree about the skewers @maman they look brilliant @bubbs.

Made a boo boo with dinner tonight = I'd got out some lean bacon lardons rather than the chorizo!  So we ended up with chicken and bacon risotto flavoured with paprika and smoked paprika!  Made rather too much so there is enough left for lunch tomorrow!  Still at least it's saved me 3.5 syns!

Have been working out dates for going to group and it's looking like I won't be going after Wednesday until 12 July!  Need to book holiday for 31 May which will be 8 weeks!

  • Hi all,

WI today, not sure if anyone else gets this but the pounds went 1.5, 2 and then rested on 2.5lb resulting in a little .5lb loss this week. I don't know why I feel a little deflated as I should be happy as I did get my 5st award.

I was going to treat myself to a crosstown doughnut tomorrow but decided against that

Of course you MUST be happy @annabanana82! 5 stone is a huge achievement! Well done on your shiney and the little loss that got you there! 👏👏👏

I'd have that croissant if you're looking forward to it. That's what syns are for. What are you aiming for next? 🤔

Great news about your dad @bubbs. What sort of setting is it? Is it far for your mum to visit? Is he pleased? 🤞 it all works out. 😊
  • Thank you! I'm sure I'll be pleased tomorrow, just feels a little anticlimactic now. I think I need to buy some clothes that fit properly and then I'll feel how far I've come. I think we'll have our Subway salad then tea and a scone.

  • Sorry I completely forgot to answer that part of the question @bubbs and @beanielou. I'm still undecided, I'm thinking my goal is 10st 7lb, technically I'll still be overweight, but I want to be a weight I'm both happy and can maintain. So roughly 1.5st to go.

I have also been considering a tummy tuck, after 3 C sections there is only so much exercise can do. I always said I wouldn't put myself through a major operation for vanity, but it's a big decision, a lot of money and I need to prove I can maintain before even looking into it too much.

Or I could take that money and go to the Maldives instead...
