Morning all, a bit grey but dry day today so have decided to do a load of washing. It's forecast to rain this afternoon so as long as I get this lot onto the line and a bit drier, even if not completely dry, I'll be happy! Will probably get it in around 1.30 as the rain is due after 2pm! Let's see if the forecast is right!
Had a nice meal last night and didn't go too far over syns so not too much to pull back during the week! The meal I chose wasn't as spicy as I'd have liked - in fact I'm not sure they put any spice in it, LOL, it was that mild. But it was nice all the same and I only had one small glass of wine and we didn't open a bottle when we got home. Was glad we didn't go any later as there was a party of 18 due in at 7.30pm - think that might have spoiled a quiet dinner for two!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 2
L - veg and bean soup - P; S; F
D - chana masala, rice (will definitely have a bit of spice in it, LOL!) - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEB2 - Primula Light?
HEB - may have some crackers and Primula light later
Syns - sausages 2
Was thinking it's probably about time we started a new thread. We usually start one around Easter until the summer. What do others think? Anyone any ideas for a new title?
Have a good day everyone.0 -

That's excellent @bubbs.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Really pleased for you, a steady half pound would be perfect. 🤞🏼
I hope today's hospital visit goes well.
Glad you enjoyed your meal @joedenise and used very few syns. Shame it was a bit bland but you can make up for the lack of spices tonight. 😁
I called into Farmfoods yesterday, hadn't been there for a while. They had cannellini beans at 29p. Unfortunately only 2 tins left but I bought them for next time I batch cook veggie chilli. I also got 100g pack of Schwartz paprika for £1. Out of curiosity, I checked the ingredients for the Aldi basic baked beans which I've also been adding to chilli to see what beans they are. They are listed as haricot beans which, according to the app are Protein! I don't know about other brands as Heinz, for example, just list 'beans' in their ingredients list. 🤔
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk berries (S), banana (F)
L- hash (F,S), 2 fried eggs (P), pickles (S)
D- sweet and sour chicken (P,S) with noodles (F)
Syn's- ben's sauce 1.5, weekend wine😊0 -
All baked beans should be haricot beans. You can make your own in the SC but when I made them I found them to be completely different, but nicer in a different way, to canned ones! It's the reason I can't understand why SW made them Free rather than Protein. As far as I'm aware all beans are Protein. Only thing I can think of it because of the amount of sugar in them.

I have made my own baked beans too. They were delicious but it was pre SW and used black treacle in the recipe! 🤣
What about 'Towards a Slimmer Summer with Slimming World' for a new thread after Easter? 🤔0 -

Evening all 😁
Yes Maman was chuffed .
Dad was ok 😁 did his beauty regime, combing his hair, had a shave, filed his nails and his cream on elbows, mouthwash as he has been saying horrible taste in his mouth but mum had a word with the doctors because he has no teeth so his mouth isn't being cleaned!
Mum takes her little bag everyday with everything in as dad insists she takes it home, but every day there is something else to take in 🤣 i said at this rate you will need a trolley 🤣🤣
Banana at group
pitta , bacon, egg and mushroom for lunch
beef and mushroom with BNS chips 12.5 syns
