Morning all, it's a horrible wet and windy morning today. Still no need to go out until this evening. DH has booked a table at an Indian restaurant for tonight. The only time they had a table available was 6pm which is OK as that's the time we usually eat but funnily enough we usually go for a later meal when we eat out. We have to be out of the restaurant by 8pm as the table has been rebooked for then! So definitely not a lingering dinner! Just hope they don't rush the service because of it.
What a palaver @bubbs with your GPs. I think they're all much of a muchness. DH and I recently had blood tests and got text messages for a telephone call with the GP - DH's appointment came through for next week mine came through for the middle of our holiday so I phoned our local surgery to rearrange it and was told that they were unable to rebook it and they just cancelled it and have told me to ring again after my holiday! How ridiculous is that.
@Abbafan1972 glad you're not beating yourself up abut the weight loss but as @maman says if you stick to plan it will show up as a loss soon, probably this week.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, strawberries, raspberries - HEB; S
L - seafood salad - P; S
D - Indian restaurant
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - who knows!!! but at least 15 probably more like 30!
Have a good day everyone.

Many happy returns @joedenise
Expecting it to be a long day today, last day of work before 2 weeks leave, also the end of our reporting year and the financial year so its going to be busy!
The family have requested a cooked breakfast today for dinner, so that's a nice easy one and SW friendly.
I've been struggling to get veg recently and after experiencing "woody breast" chicken last night I really need to find a good butchers too. I'm going to one of the local farm shops later to get my veg at least from, depending on the cost I'd like to make this more regular but guess it'll depend on what the bill is!
Meal plan today:
B: baked oats carrot or Blueberry not decided yet either 1 or 2.5 syns
L: veggie soup thinking curried cauliflower and red lentil- freebacon, aldi skinny sausages (1 syn) beans, plum tomatoes, mushrooms and scrambled egg, ketchup 1 syn
Will add some syns in throughout the dayMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Good morning, commiserations on the gain @Abbafan1972, but you have the right attitude not to dwell on it.
Happy birthday @joedenise, have a great evening.
Hope you make some sense of the GP's @bubbs
@Coxy11, old now, but used to hate those surprise visits.
Today is the day I eat my mega (and expensive) GF pie from the freezer, I will scan something while I am out if I can and then just load the points and suck it up for today, as suggested by you lovely people I will eat as much as possible of Speed items today. Lots of fruit and yogurt eaten for breakfast.
Have a great day, OH champing at the bit to get out, catch up later. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Happy, happy birthday @joedenise enjoy your meal tonight
@Coxy11 I sympathise! Nearly sorted now that I've started HRT but that needs tweaking as moods are still a bit all over the place!
Sorry about the gain @Abbafan1972 but you'll lose it next week
I've the start of a sore throat this morning and feel tired again despite having an early night. Feel a bit out of sorts but can't put my finger on what's wrong. I'll stop whinging, that will help 🤣
Today's food:
B - toast (HEB), jam (2 syns)
L - lentil soup
D - TBC (DS is out so can please myself 😁)
Have a good day everyone0 -
Happy Birthday @joedenise! 🎉🥂
It sounds like a very good restaurant if they are so heavily booked. Enjoy your meal and the rest of the evening and then jump back on the wagon tomorrow. 😁
Sympathy to those of you with lots of stress and other trying situations. At least sticking with SW is something we can control and healthy food makes us stronger. 👍 And keep away from the doughnuts @Abbafan1972 and hope you've drawn a line @beanielou! 🤣
Enjoy your leave @annabanana82. Have you any exciting plans? 🤔 I know @joedenise uses a local butcher but not sure of farm shop prices for veg. Fortunately Aldi and Sainsburys are good around here.
I was up and out early to do my shopping this morning as busy later. All set for a good week on plan.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA 1 milk for drinks, bacon, eggs (P)
L- ham (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), pickles (S)
D- baked haddock (P), roast potato cubes (F), garlic mushrooms (S, HEA 2), broccoli, tomatoes (S)
Syns - weekend wine 😁0 -
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I will be doing exactly that @maman - enjoying my meal tonight and then drawing the line and back on plan tomorrow.
@annabanana82 - as @maman says I use a local butcher but mainly for low fat sausages and burgers. Not so keen on the rest of his meat - he's got far too big now he advertises his "specials" on Facebook - we've tried a few of them but they've never been particularly good so tend to buy most other meat from Lidl! I quite often use a local farm shop for veg and find their prices comparable with supermarkets apart from grapes which seem to be nearly double the price of the SM! I'd definitely give your farm shop a go.

What a day, no time for lunch again!
We have two farm shops nearby, one has a large butchery counter fairly reasonable but very expensive veg. The meat all comes from the local farm, but after having some bad chicken once I'm a bit wary about using it again.
The other loads of veg all local but limited meat selection beyond sausages and burgers. But a few other places to look at locally.
No real plans for Easter, my Daughter is having her tattoo finished, that was her birthday present so means my OH and I have 4/5 hours walking round the city whilst we wait for her.
But plenty of walking, spring clean the house and try and get some running in, oh and maybe sort the base for the new shed
