Hope you get a loss today @beanielou 🤞

Cold but bright and sunny day here so one load of washing already on the line with two more of bedding to follow.  WFH and have just requested three days to tag on to the Easter weekend 😁

    Today's plan:
B - bran flakes (HEB), f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries
L - smoked ham salad with pickles
D - chicken stir fry with loads of veg and either rice or noodles

Having a low alcohol weekend means I have plenty of syns if I want anything!

    Have a good day all.

Morning all.  Spent Friday "working" from the sofa because I felt so rough.  Felt a bit brighter on Saturday but DH came down with it (we think it was Strep) and was in bed all weekend.  He's still not feeling great so is having a sick day on the sofa today.

On a positive note I have lost half a lb this week which is a miracle as I have eaten a lot of things I wanted to and not done any exercise 😏  Still going to take it and will run with it.  Breakfast was ff yogurt with kiwi and blueberries, lunch is a random soup from the freezer (think it's carrot and coriander) and dinner is homemade chicken kebabs with pitta and salad.

Well done to all the losers, commiserations to those that gained and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow.

Morning all, another bright but chilly day today.  Had the first machine load of washing on the line before 8am!  Second load which was bedding was out about 8.15am.  There's a bit more wind today than there was yesterday so should dry fairly quickly.

Good luck for WI @beanielou.  I'm sure you'll shift a bit knowing you!

@bubbs - we're off to the New Forest for the Easter weekend and our delayed Golden Wedding Anniversary trip the following weekend to Gambia for 2 weeks - should have gone in 2021 but Covid was still rife out there so we decided to wait a couple of years.  The rep has told the airline and the hotel that it's our delayed Anniversary trip - wonder if we'll get any extras!

@Jellybaby hope you manage to get the extra few days leave approved to tag onto the Easter weekend to make a good break.  Have you got any plans?

Well done on the small loss this week @ruby_eskimo.  Every little helps as they say!  Hope you and your DH are feeling better soon.  What recipe do you use for your chicken kebabs as I've seen several SW friendly ones and it's something I often think about making but haven't got round to yet.

Have been to do a bit of shopping for this week as usually go on a Tuesday but with the freezer coming and I won't know what time until tomorrow I decided it was easier to go today and then just be around all day tomorrow for the delivery.  I picked up some YS bacon which we'll have in a sandwich one morning over the next week or so.  Have put it into the freezer for the moment and will just get it out the day before we need it.

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
    L - carrot, coriander and lentil soup - P; S; F
    D - Spanish rice - P; S; F; 3.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - 25g chorizo 3.5; couple of Skinny Whip minis 3

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all and sorry for the radio silence.

Glad you had a good birthday meal @joedenise. We very rarely go out for an Indian meal – usually get a takeout – but it’s so nice when we do.

Great to hear you’ve had another loss @bubbs x Sounds like your Mum does a little spa pamper for your DDad – how cute is that. Thanks for the veg heads up x

Well done on the 1lb loss @Jellybaby x

Sorry you’re feeling poorly @ruby_eskimo and OH – hope you’re feeling brighter soon x

We had a weekend of entertaining. First the outlaws on Saturday. I did a SC chilli con carne (good food recipe), SW tin can massaman curry, rice, loaded potato skins (cheese, peppers, spring onions, sweetcorn) plus a salad bowl. All SW friendly except the potato skins, but still within daily allowance. We have 4 x chilli/rice, and 2 x massaman curry/rice leftover.

Sunday my sister and BIL came with their adult children plus our children. I did a lamb tagine (good food) recipe. I don’t have a tagine and given I trebled the quantity, cooked it in two casserole dishes. Only thing synnable was the apricots and given I can’t stand them, I cut them up really small to hide them. I served this with rice, a cous cous salad and regular salad bowl. 5 x leftovers/rice for the freezer.

I had a small slice of cake both days and despite having a drink – not over the top but nursed some white wine – I am bang on my target weight. I am still on TOTM (and very heavy/painful sorry if TMI). I didn’t weigh in on Saturday just manned the pay. I go to Scotland on Saturday to walk more of my JoGLE – Lockerbie to Lancaster this time around, so next weight in will be 22 April or maybe 29 April depending on how I am after the walk.

    Food today:

B – overnight oats, mullerlight, frozen cherries – HEB, 0.5, free

L – lo chilli con carne/rice, lo cous cous salad, grapes – all free some speed

D – SW spaghetti carbonara, parmesan – free, HEA

    HEA – milk

Syns – skinny crunch bar plus 0.5 from breakfast, so 3.5 total

    Have a good day all.

Well done on your loss @ruby_eskimo.👏👏👏 That half a pound a week is all you need to get to your end of year target. 😁

The weather is much improved so 🤞 it stays that way for your walk @Coxy11. You sound like you're within target, allowing for any water retention. All you can do is your best for food on the walk and sort it when you get back.

That'll give you the best part of a week off @Jellybaby. You need to relax as work seems very stressful lately. Well done for staying on plan despite everything. 👍

You've waited long enough for your anniversary celebrations @joedenise so just enjoy it. I'd have thought fruit and veg should be readily available anyway. Are you going AI? 🤔

I had a fairly low alcohol weekend too so almost 40 syns left for next 3 days and only plan to use 2!🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S), 2 potatoes (F)
    D- sausage casserole (P, F, S), pasta (F)
    Syns - Aldi sausages 1

Not AI this time @maman!  Just B&B but there are a lot of restaurants a short taxi ride away plus lots of snack bar type places on the beach.  We're staying at the same hotel as we stayed at last time we went back in 2018.  We stayed half board that time but other guests told us it was cheaper to get a taxi to the Strip have a meal and taxi back (they wait while you eat).  For half board we paid £28 a night (£14 each) and apparently the taxi plus meal worked out around £20 so quite a saving.  Hoping prices haven't gone up too much since then!  We'll still eat in the hotel 2 or 3 times as well.

There's a little shop on the resort and last time we were there we bought a bottle of gin and some diet tonics and drank that in our room so we'll do that again - definitely cheaper than drinking while we're out!

Sounds like a nice lot of LOs @Coxy11 gone into the freezer and you had a fairly good SW weekend even with visitors.  Hope the walk goes well and you don't get blisters!
