  • Hi all,

No parkrun this morning, we did go for a 3 mile walk last night, and the ground was so boggy I wasn't going to risk running on similar terrain (I've got a bit of a dodgy back)

I'm so hungry today, and trying hard not to sabotage myself as just want high syn goodies.

    Meal plan today

B: baked oats, coffee yoghurt, 2 satsumas hex b .5 syn
L: bowl speed fruit and FF yoghurt
D: stir fry pork, jasmine rice, peppers, onions, sugar snap peas, carrots and baby corn. Free will make up a very low syn spicy sauce.

Snacks: apple, 2 skinny crunch 6 syns.

    Total syns 6.5

    Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

    Make £2024 in 2024...

woohoo @bubbs 🥳 well done on the loss!

I STS again, which after my mid week blow out, I’m grateful for. Got a food diary to complete as I need to get off this merry go round and lose something.

Hair appointment after shopping with mum and I was starving by the time I got home and scoffed a tuna salad roll - don’t think I tasted it 🤣

Bacon, tomato and chilli spaghetti with Parmesan for dinner, will probably have some roasted veg too to boost the speed intake.

Well done @bubbs! Delighted for you. 👏👏👏

Back from our short break, apologies but haven't read this week's posts.

We had a lovely time. I enjoyed all the extra syns on favourites I'd not have at home. Mainly extra bread and crisps and even some black pudding at breakfast. We also walked miles. I'm not feeling too enormous but I'm sure it will catch up.

I've got a good chance of reining back this week. I've done a meal plan and shop so all set to get back to normal.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- 2 fried eggs (P), hash (F, S), beetroot (S)
    D- chicken jambalaya (P, F, S)
Syns - weekend wine 😁 although did have midweek wine in Belfast. 🤣

Good evening all, just got back from a sewing show in London.  The travelling really tires me these days!  Hard to believe I used to do a similar journey every day for 10 years when I was working!  Cost more to get there than I spent at the show!  Still it was a reasonably cheap day out.

Well done @bubbs on your loss this week.  About time too!  Hopefully now you've turned it round it'll continue.

Glad you enjoyed your short break @maman.  Have you been before or is this the first time?  I went years ago for week at the height of the troubles.  The day after I got back the hotel work wanted me to stay in was blown up!  So glad I didn't stay right in the centre.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes - P; S; F; 2
    L - prawns, tsp seafood sauce; bowl of fruit salad - P; S; F; 2?
    D - pork steak, potatoes; veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - sausages 2; seafood sauce 2? M&S mini whip 6.5

Glad to hear you had a good day out @joedenise. Any plans/ideas for sewing that took your fancy? 🤔

I'd never been to Belfast before, planned to go in 2020 but it didn't happen. We went on a taxi tour of the areas from the troubles yesterday. The guide was excellent but it's so hard to imagine living with the 3 mile wall between the two communities. It's not like that in the rest of the place though, just feels like any UK city and very welcoming to tourists.

Flight was amazingly easy. We were home within 30 minutes of landing. I'm going to investigate where else we can fly. 🤔

Interestingly there was a couple sitting opposite me on the flight who were so enormous they barely fitted into the seats. I know I shouldn't be so critical but it made me put my concerns about some extra syns into perspective. 😁
