I also indulged for Mother's day, probably wouldn't have been so bad if I had not been tempted by a Brown Derby but there you go, I enjoyed it and it was the first Mother's day in five years where I haven't been working and actually able to do something on the day.

We'll see what impact that has on the scales on Wednesday (home scales) but I'm not too concerned, if it's a gain, well at least it was something I thoroughly enjoyed. Then we have another meal out on Friday for youngest's birthday, I'll try to avoid the desert for that one....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

New dessert looks lovely @bubbs :)
Sorry you're not well @beanielou - do ask your friends to help you - I'm sure they'd be happy to x
I love a Brown Derby @SingleSue but don't think I could eat one now - my stomach has been bad since Saturday when I had cake at DSis's AND MILs. Still suffering now.

Sorry to miss some posts - I was so busy yesterday and then did 'extreme ironing' where I ironed each item, then went upstairs to put it away. Takes a lot longer but gets me some steps in and I finished the day on 6k which for a WFH day isn't too bad. Still have this blessed sore throat. Don't know why or what it is but it's so draining - will do an e-consult with GP today as I've had it 10 days now.

    Food today:
    B - Weetabix choc melts, mullerlight vanilla, blueberries - HEB, 0.5, S
    L - LM chorizo/red pepper sausages, baked beans, JP, 2 satsumas, apple - 3, free, S
D - SC chilli con carne and rice - free
    HEA - milk
    Syns - skinny crunch bar - 3
    Total syns - 6.5

Morning all, another grey damp day, no doubt there will be more rain later.

Off to town to get some shopping and also have a waxing appointment whilst I'm there.

Agree with @Coxy11 @beanielou you should ask your friends for help when you need it.  After all that's what friends are for.

Don't think I've ever had a Brown Derby @SingleSue and by the sounds of it I'm probably better off not having one!

The apple pie looks good @bubbs.  Nice use of your HEB!

Last day of SP for me today, thank goodness!  I've really not enjoyed it and definitely won't be doing it again.  I'll just stick with the odd SP meal as I was doing before.  So today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash topped with eggs - P; S
    L - falafels , salad in soft pitta - HEB; P; S
D - beef stew; celeriac mash (will make a couple of dumplings for DH - hopefully it will stop him moaning about having no potatoes!) - P; S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
Syns - none planned but will probably have a couple of skinny whip minis or a bar for 3 syns.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

An unexpected day in the office for me - only just been told about a meeting we have to be in person for this afternoon!

Breakfast was sweet omelette with f/f Greek yoghurt and lunch is soft pitta with ham and salad so will take that with me along with a couple of nectarines.  Dinner tonight is chilli with rice and roasted veg on the side.  I will need to stay focussed and stay away from the biscuits and cakes that folk will no doubt bring along to the meeting - why am I the only one that ever takes fruit?? 😁

@beanielou definitely ask your friend if you need some help x
Your pudding looks amazing @bubbs your food and presentation skills are fab!

Must dash! Have a good day all.
  • Hi everyone.
The past week hasn't been great with birthdays and mothers day celebrations.
I had one large chocolate rocky road cake and a lindt chocolate bar and 3 slices of dominoes pizza :(

My head feels back in the game today so I have just logged my measurements and sorted out my summer clothes
(that were all so tight last summer) that now feel looser on me which is encouraging.

I have my foot xray this week to find out why it hurts so badly? My doctor is concerned its arthritis but hopefully it's
something else and I can start some body magic with some walking soon.

@beanielou Sorry to read about your back, hopefully it will improve for you quickly with some rest.

@SingleSue Well done to you both getting the award.

@bubbs The apple dessert looks yummy, how did you make the outer pastry or is it made with eggs?

    A quick question:
Easter is around the corner with all the chocolate that comes with it
so does anyone have any tips for staying on plan?
  • Morning all,

After last night's small gain, I unwisely came home and ate popcorn and Ferrero rocher - not even going to count syns.

Easter is easy for me, no begger has bought an egg or any other kind of Easter treat for me for years (and I'm too tight to get one for myself) so no need to worry about what to do with the non existent chocolate! As I'll be working for most of it, it will just be my normal work day eating plan.
