I'll be reading your menus for SP inspiration @joedenise😊 maybe psychological but always feel hungry and can do a couple of days max but my biggest problem is knowing/remembering what i can and can't have.
I admire your energy @Coxy11 especially at that time!
Massive congrats @SingleSue and son! Fabulous achievement for you both. And STS is good @cherry_22 😊
Today's plan:
B - toast (HEB), jam (2 syns)
L - ham and mushroom omelette with pickles
D - l/over lasagne with chips and salad
Will probably syn another two hifi bars for supper,
Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all,

Meal plan for today:
B: baked oats and blueberries 1 syn
L: determined to have a ham and mushroom omelette, hex a and 1 syn for ketchupTurkey mince cottage pie, bulked with carrots and peas, going to serve with roasted cauliflower 1 syn for the cottage pie.
Will have my usual hot chocolate laterMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

@Jellybaby - check your book, app or website for which foods you can have. I know most of them because I've been doing SW for a very long time (coming up to 13 years this summer, most of it at target!)
Basically the carby fruit and veg you can't have like bananas, corn on the cob, potatoes. You also can't have yoghurt apart from proper Greek Yoghurt which is Protein or you can substitute Quark which is what I tend to do.
If you need any help just post as there's usually someone around who can help.

Morning all. Can't remember when I last checked in (it was a few pages ago at least!) Everything has been a bit crazy around here with work and life and it was my birthday on Monday (had afternoon tea with some kittens and then finally got to see Hamilton 😍).
Weight has stayed the same and I haven't been exercising or eating on plan but getting back on it after today as we're going out to Miller and Carter for dinner tonight to use up some vouchers we've had sitting around for a while.

Congratulations to you and your son on winning Couple of the Year @SingleSue ! You seem to have settled into a good, steady 1.5lbs per week loss, that's excellent! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
🤞🏼 that you get somewhere with trying SP @joedenise. I've never followed it strictly but I suppose any carbs that you cut back on should help. I think @Jellybaby is right that some of it is psychological. I think we're all conditioned into having carbs on the plate, especially at this time of the year. I find I can manage fine at lunchtime with, for example, an omelette and salad or pickles but expect a bit more at dinner time. I think you're on the right lines with things like carrots, swede and BNS.
Thanks for the gravy recipe @annabanana82. We only have it a couple of times a week but it's always good to save syns.
That was impressive to get straight back to your 5K route @Coxy11. Have you got a walk planned with your sister? I know you were discussing it. 🤔
It was my birthday on Sunday @ruby_eskimo and I, too, have been a bit all over the place this week. Our Turkish holiday is booked for June/July @bubbs but next week we're going to Belfast for 4 days which is a birthday treat so I won't try to be 100% back on plan until we get back from there.
I made some OK choices (prawns, sea bass) last night but chips and wine were involved so still quite a few syns. Back on plan today though.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB (half) toast, bacon, 2 eggs (P), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- HEB (half) toast, mackerel in mustard sauce (P), pickles (S)
D- turkey meatballs in tomato sauce (P, S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- 01 -
Out for a lovely lunch today at a local-ish seafood resturant.

Morning all. Was very pleased with a loss of 1.5lb at weigh in last night. 😊.Good luck with everyone doing SP - I have tried it it but struggled with it - a combination of feeling deprived and also receiving conflicting information over what you can and can’t have. I know that you can have 10 syns, but what do you guys use the syns on? Can you have muller lights? I was told you can’t and then told you can but have to syn it. My old consultant told me you can have bananas but have to syn them. She didn’t have an answer for me when I asked how can you syn something that’s listed as a free food? Some consultants are not trained properly at all. Anyway after attempting SP I still didn’t lose anything, so felt that for me, it was a waste of all that effort.I am off out tonight to see a Beatles tribute group. It’s only round the corner, so very convenient. It’s the last day of auditors at work, hopefully.Have a good day all. xxStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £30,358.130

Morning all, a very grey day here this morning and forecast to rain shortly! Really wanted to get the bedding washed today but think I'll leave it again.1
Well done on your 1.5lb loss @Abbafan1972 - that's a great result. Sorry to hear your consultant wasn't trained properly about SP. To answer those specific queries - you can have Free foods if you want them but you're not actually doing SP if you do - it makes it an normal EE day! I know you can't have things like the McCains jacket potatoes (which are synned) they still count as a Free food (as it's only the oil on them that is actually the syns); not sure obout Mullers but suspect it's similar as they definitely used to be Free - apparently SW only started synning them because a lot of people were eating a lot of them just because they were Free. Fortunately I don't eat them so not a problem in that respect for me. I've never managed to do a full week of SP as the only time I've tried in the past I felt hungry most of the time and then only lost 0.5lb! Always said I would never do it again as it's a waste of time for me but after 3 weeks of STS when I'm doing everything properly (including not using a Syn bank - that was one the first things she asked me, LOL!) decided I had to do something in the hopes of a kick start!
Enjoy the Beatles tribute group tonight. I saw a Beatles tribute band years ago when we went to see friends on the Isle of Wight and they were brilliant. Very unlikely you'd be seeing the the same ones though as suspect they've packed up by now - they'd probably be in their 80s by now!!!
Today's plan:
B - porridge; frozen blueberries and strawberries - HEB; S
L - not sure as eating out but will probably have steak and salad P; S?
D - jerk chicken, cauliflower rice 'n' peas (kidney beans) - P; S
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - not sure but won't be any alcohol at lunchtime as I'm driving but may have some rum & ginger beer
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
I’m a CS too @annabanana82 – only since 2018 so not a ‘lifer’ like some I work with. It’s pretty grim right now!
Belated Happy Birthday to @ruby_eskimo. Afternoon tea with cats followed by Hamilton sounds lovely. I hope M&C was nice too x
@maman we are going back to Lockerbie on 8 April and will be walking down to Carnforth. I have booked the trains, hotels/BnBs/mapped the route as usual. DSis was wanting to walk the Pennine Way but I’ve told her no. Can’t risk getting injured and calling for mountain rescue.
Hope the seafood restaurant was lovely @beanielou x
Well done on your 1.5lb loss @Abbafan1972 – I could never get my head around syns/free foods on SP either.
I still have this sore throat/catarrgh (sorry TMI) and it’s driving me crazy. Nothing is shifting it and it’s been a week now. I’m out to lunch with a friend today – one of the cafes in town – so will choose wisely. We didn’t have dinner last night – well DH had an omelette I had peppermint tea and my skinny bar. We went to see Champions at a 5.45pm showing, and didn’t get home until 8.25pm so it was a little late to cook the chicken. We’ll have that tonight.
Food today:
B – poached egg, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, 1 x WM toast – P, S, ½ HEB
L – out out!
D – sweet chilli chicken, rice, broccoli, cabbage – 1, S
HEA – milk
½ HEB – skinny bar
Syns – whatever the café is, not sure yet.

@coxy I joined over 20 years ago but took quite a bit of time out for the children. I'm not in a department that's striking but it's probably the worst it's ever been at work now.
Plan for today
B: baked Blueberry oats 1syn
L: not sure perhaps scrambled eggs, beans and mushrooms? Not sure my lunch break is going to be long enough for that??schwartz Spanish chicken I think, its a free packet mix but meant to good
Cooking for my parents tonight after missing my Dads birthday, his gingerbread cake has been tightly wrapped up all week so will have a small slice - will count 5 synsMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
