    Morning all,

@cherry_22 well done on your shiny 👍

@Abbafan1972 could you pre-order a baked potato and the cafe keep it aside for you?  We used to be able to do this in our old building but in our new place the canteen only provides soup and sandwiches.  Oh, is soup an option?

The food diaries aren't big enough @joedenise especially the speed and free food boxes!

Absolutely baltic here this morning with only a dusting of snow overnight, the heavy stuff still forecast for tonight.

    Today's food:
    B - f/f Greek yoghurt, banana, apple
L - fried potato, bacon medallions, mushrooms, tomatoes stuffed in a toasted soft pitta (HEB) chilli sauce (1 syn)
    D - chilli with rice

    Stay warm everyone.

Unofficial weigh in day yesterday, a loss of 3/4 of a pound which whilst only small, I was actually quite happy about as it has been a week of not great health and an EDS related halt of the digestive and urinary process.

I wasn't too worried, I knew that my body was still changing as my sometime indecent night shirt became permanently indecent over the last week (the shoulders slip down and expose boobage) and I've had to wear something that helps cover that when in company. I really must get a new nightshirt.

The best news though is that the new jeans I ordered two sizes down from my original, arrived yesterday. I had hoped they wouldn't be too far away to being worn and would be an incentive but they go on, they do up easily and there is even some bagging on the waistband! When I first got them out of the packet, my first thought was "Hmm, nope, weeks away yet" and "Why didn't I go for loose fit rather than skinny fit, might have had a chance then", so imagine how chuffed I was when they went on without issue, without having to hold my tummy in, without having to force the zip and button to do up.

    I'm so blooming chuffed!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

That's a great NSV @SingleSue.  Sounds like you're doing really well having a small loss when you didn't really expect it because of your problems.

I would definitely treat yourself to a new nightshirt!  Don't want to be showing off. boobage in company, LOL!

Great result on the jeans @SingleSue.
Time for a new nightshirt indeed  :)

That's a great NSV @SingleSue! 👍 And, of course you must treat yourself to a new night shirt. Being able to fit into new sizes is one of the many positives of weight loss. 😁

I'd agree about a pasta salad as a meal to take to work @Abbafan1972. Another simple salad is one of the savoury rice packs (like the Golden rice from Aldi) with bits chopped up mixed in like tomatoes, gherkins, onions and peppers. Cold sausages or ham are good too. It's a case of thinking ahead about what you can prep while doing dinner the night before.

Shame there was nothing healthy at your event @annabanana82. I suppose it's got worse as salad stuff is in short supply and expensive. You did well to manage on so few syns.

I agree about the standard SW food diaries.  You'd think they would do big boxes for the Speed to encourage you to fill it up! I use a notebook at home. I wonder if you can print out the ones on the website? 🤔

Good news about the BP @bubbs. Better luck next time with the blood tests.

Despite the rain, we went out with our walking group this morning. We're going to a play this evening. It's in a bar rather than a theatre. We're eating before we go but wine syns will be involved. I'm not going to worry about syns this week. It's my birthday on Sunday and we're going to eat at my favourite restaurant tomorrow. In between I'll have whatever I fancy. Then I will get back on plan whenever I can until we go away the following week.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- cold meat (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), tomatoes and pickles (S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P, F, S), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns - salami? wine 😉

@bubbs.  Good news on the BP.
    Boo to the bloods.

You can get a bigger size of the food diary if you ask.

Thanks @beanielou didn't know that.  Will make do this week but if it ever gets to the stage of needing them again I'll ask.

Sounds like you have the same problem as me @bubbs with giving up blood!  I don't even try at the Drs as they can never get the needle in the vein so it's better for me to go to the walk in centre in the next town.  We need appointments at our local hospital but no one ever seems to answer the phone and just tell you to email them with when you can attend!  What use is that?  Whatever time/dates I give you can bet your life they wouldn't be able to give me an appointment at that time!

Congrats on the NSV SingleSue I can't wait until that's me fitting into smaller sizes 😁 I have some shorts that I bought on a whim last year because they were cheap but I couldn't do them up and I was bursting out everywhere and looked dreadful, hopefully they'll be a much better fit by the time we go away in September.

I feel knackered today and have not felt hungry at all. I hardly slept as an upset stomach woke me at around 1am and kept me awake till 3am, didn't even fancy my morning cuppa - I know I'm not right when that happens 🤣 Went food shopping this morning with MIL, then we had a meeting with our financial advisor discussing switching pensions and ISAs and that gave me even more of a headache, all those numbers! Intended to have a little nap this evening but I've been number crunching instead and going through our direct debits and regular payments trying to work out what we can do without, not exactly the relaxing evening I planned but happy to get everything sorted.

I'm rubbish with lunches - usually end up with either jacket potato or some soup now that a lot of the heinz ones have gone down in syns (although intending to try and make my own later this week). Agree that some of the golden veg rice sachets are nice with salad bits and cooked meats, leftovers is also a good shout - if we ever have any left!
