Well I'm back from sunny Blackpool (it was only sunny the first day but has been very mild, no waves across the promenade and light rain yesterday which was enough to soak my hair and mask as I opted to walk to the train station and one of the roads was closed (builders on site). Met many helpful people who stopped to see if I needed help. When it rained under a large building with a concrete verandah (could have been a dance/ snooker/ bingo hall but quite shabby). Another man stopped to ask if I was okay and then started to tell me his life story (I must have that sort of face). He had two false legs and had been sanctioned for the sin of not having a permanent address. His wife must have had some sort of lodgings and was still getting benefits but he hadn't eaten in days. I offered him my leftover food (cauli, broccoli, peppers, salad leaves, onions and baby tomatoes, 4 bread buns, 2 slices of roast beef and a few treats) thanked me over and over, said it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for him and he would say a prayer for me that evening. he was obviously hungry because he started on the baby tomatoes straight away.
Continued on to the station and was very glad of the tiny cafe which sold hot chocolate (did I tell you that already). Two stops from home my remaining energy departed and the trips across the walkways and the bus ride home were gruelling. One tiny task to sort with the solicitor (I'm cross, they will not be getting the positive response to their survey that they would a
have had a week ago) then straight to my bed with one bag of stuff - DS3 brought a second bag and food up for me later, suitcase can stay downstairs until the clothes go in the WM. The hotel and rail staff and many passers by were extremely helpful.
My niece has just phoned to say she hasn't slept for 2 days but her boyfriend will drop off the letter from my brother and receipts for the money I sent, on his way home (next 10 minutes. So my tasks for the day are to toddle over to the library to sort mum's Council Tax and to let the UC people know I'm now over the capital limit, so my claim is ended. Anything else I do will be a bonus. I have 4 clean dresses to wear (processed before I went away) so even putting my dirty clothes in the WM isn't urgent.
I'm happy for you to do February apple. I feel I haven't contributed as much as I should this month but by March I should have more things sorted and the next phase tasks started. Grateful for a lovely time with relatives old and new, a card and letter from my Isle Of Man friend' who found my specially written letter easy to read with her cataracts, my bed and lots of sleep, large print library books, 2 puzzle books, being told by 2 different younger women that I was not 'extremely fat' (I was a thin child so thought they needed warning in case it was a shock), sharing family stories.

Evening all,NSD #15 for me today, which means that I have achieved my target for probably the first time everI have been to work, and as usual I took my lunch with me, a little tub of cheese cubes, crackers and grapes that I can nibble on between customers. It was freezing in the shop, and although I wore lots of layers, I was very pleased to get back to my warm house. I will be so glad when this cold snap comes to an end!Grateful today for my warm house and nice chatty customers in the shop. They are usually nice, but not always9

Had a very vivid & bizarre dream, which woke me early. Don't think I was sobbing out loud, but felt a bit breathless with dream crying when I did wake up! Got up & did my yoga 😊 Woke DS3 for school but forgot DS2 for college, luckily he woke up himself, though a bit later than planned.
Had a good day at work, I was with a group in the afternoon, who visited the nearby care home. Me & a 6 year old played snakes and ladders with a group of elderly residents, they loved having visitors!
Picked DS1 up after work, dropped him off at the garage to collect his car, then I continued into town to drop off sewing & take mum shopping. Didn't spend as much as I have other weeks, so that's good 😃
Will be AWOL tomorrow, as I'm having a night out with my 2 work besties. Looking forward to it!
Grateful for a big hug from my pupil, trip to the care home, watching TV with DS1Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Still NSD 13, a little annoyed with myself as I didn't "have" to spend- I gave in and bought a bar of chocolate at 9pm as I still wasn't home from work and I hadn't eaten since lunch.
As I wasn't home until after 9 nothing has been scored off the mammoth to-do list, never mind its Sunday soon!
