Had enough time to have a good chat with DDs childminder at pick up time so that was nice. Work was busy so no time for my lunchtime walk- it's the only time I see daylight just now so I've definitely missed it.
DD was being super helpful tonight, which was lovely.
Lots on the list to do tomorrow, including more painting (trying to decorate a house when you are a single parent with a full time job is a slow process, but the bits I've done I'm really pleased with so I will keep plodding away!)8 -
Yay @thrifty bet you can’t wait to see him.
NSD 5 yesterday. Have dentist this morning so will be paying out a considerable amount for that.
Gym done yesterday, mediation and morning pages done. All food from stores, and a busy day at work. I feel much more motivated this week than last week. Planned out how the next few day’s meals will be organised. May need to do a top up shop for fruit but I will make sure it is only for that.
grateful for getting to WFH for an hour this morning, for bf sleeping on the sofa so I could get a good night’s sleep (he snores like a train)Student loan £5655

Well yesterday went well (for a funeral). The 'family' (we're getting thin on the ground 4 of us + a lovely neighbour) gathered at the house about an hour before and spent our time telling tales and swapping bits of family history. I hadn't met the 2 from the younger generation before. I knew their mothers and grandmothers well and mum had met both, so I'd heard lots about them and vice versa.
I've had to adjust my perspective on a few bits of history over the past year because they were told to me by my mother and I'm now realising that some of it was the version she was told as a young child. Apparently one of mum's cousin's had written a long letter to be opened after she died telling her daughter many many things about her life which she'd rather not have known and which once read, could not be unknown (a cautionary tale).
Struggling a bit this morning (had to use the walker to get to and from the bathroom and have just sat on it to brush my teeth and have a wash), there's always a price to be paid. I'm going to throw some clothes on and go and have a hearty breakfast and then come back and sleep or rest for a while longer. Packing shouldn't cause any problems (a lot less to carry) and I intend staying until the 10.30 check out.10 -
Idee, I have trained OH to go out and spray the car windows with de-icer half an hour before I go out!

Morning, Everyone.
I went to the hospital yesterday for the results of my biopsy and unfortunately I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Very early hopefully. So tests, surgery and more tests. So, my lovely Turtles, for the next wee while I think I might just dip in and out to see how you are all doing.
Take care, All. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.13 -
@Toni'sfriend so sorry to hear your news, but glad it’s been diagnosed early. Big hugs to you and take care. Sending love.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £150/£26010

Yesterday was an NSD so now 9/15. I need to buy milk so today won’t be as there are creme eggs near the till too!
Nice little surprise, thought I’d gone wrong with my budget and was keeping £25 in my account for a dd but it had already gone out. So i
now have £25 more than I thought. Pay day is Tuesday so it will be nice to have this to get through the weekend.
Yesterday was a rubbish work day. I hadn’t slept Monday night, still struggling with sinus/tooth pain. I was really grumpy & even looked for a new job!! Anyway feeling better today, slept well and haven’t got too much work to do today. Starting to think about February budget which will be a tad better due to expected small payrise. My ds said this morning ‘it’s already 11 months until”……😜Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Hi Toni's Friend sorry about the diagnosis.
In the meantime I am having my second - to do day at home week and finally I am getting a lot of stuff done, I think my mental space is generally very crowded or there is just not much space, but taking the time to try and complete a few things just feels absolutely great.
My advice from last week is
Say it out loud, do it, and keep doing it! I said a whisper to a couple of friends with next plans, and I will keep doing what I'm doing apart from that, but try to do it louder and more directed in the future.
I really need to go through my time and financial budget, and also have a mahooossive clear out of stuff. It's time.

@Toni'sfriend hugs and best wishes coming your way from Le Shire. Take good care of yourself and do each day at a time.
I have been to the tip and recycled a lot of stuff that has been sitting around for too long. The uninvited 🐁lodger had made a series of food stashes inside the unused chimney behind the fridge. Little per-vert seems to be particularly fond of brussels sprouts and 🥕 spaghetti (robbed bin peelings), and another stash of dropped bits of bagel and toast inside the unused hot water pipe cupboard. Have had a stern word with the boys about dropping food on the floor and food waste and not further encouraging Zee Mouse🐭 to move in permanently. As Zee seems to be enjoying a healthy January, I have added carrot to the 'holiday chalets' in the hope that this will tempt Zee in. Otherwise I will be forced to resort to the old fashioned mousetraps 🪤🪤🪤 with permanent results, and my Karma rating will go down.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
