Worked from a cafe this morning for a change of scenery. Did buy a cappuccino but tried offsetting the cost by using their electricity to charge my laptop and phone.Walked the 2 miles home because OH had the car today. Also walked the 1.4 miles to and from local SM to buy milk. It was a lovely sunny day so I wanted to make the most of it.Received a parcel from Spain today… DS’s bag filled with £200 worth of games, clothes, school books, and his tablet that we had accidentally left outside our holiday hotel! Thankfully it was still there when a staff member went to check following our frantic calls and emails.Grateful today for honest people, for getting DS’s bag and full contents returned to us, and for a fresh sunny day.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸12

@Toni'sfriend - I'm sorry to hear your news. As you know, I was diagnosed this time last year - it's not a club that anyone wants to be a member of, but you will find that people are lovely and helpful. Please feel free to PM me if you would like to with rants, questions, worries - whatever - I really don't mind - I have always been quite open with my diagnosis and treatment and have had several not-necessarily close people ask me lots of questions either for themselves or for a friend/ family member about where they can find info out etc. Obviously I have no medical knowledge, just recent personal experience x
I wish you the very best with whatever treatment is deemed necessary - and may it be swift and successful. Xx
For info for you if it helps to know any of my story to see if it relates in any way - I was initially diagnosed with DCIS (grade 2, stage 0) but there was also an aggressive, fast-growing invasive tumour beside it (grade 3, stage 2) However, it had not spread to my lymph nodes (I had a sentinel node biopsy to check) I'm still deemed to have been caught with early stage cancer - and am thankful for that.
ETA - feel free to totally ignore this whole post!
I was overwhelmed at first. Good sites to get info from are Macmillan, Breastcancer Now, Maggies centres, breastcancercare.org. you can order lots of free info leaflets from them too x

Sending big hugs @Toni'sfriend. Pleased that it's been caught early, rest up & take things a day at a time. The chaise is cleared especially for you & we're all on tap to get you anything you need x
Well done on the decorating @facethemusic, sounds like you're doing wonderfully well with work, etc on top!
Glad the funeral went as well as it can @grandmanerd. Safe travels home.
Heard the wind & rain on my bedroom window this morning & decided to stay in bed & give yoga a miss! Had regular updates from DS1 re his flights home, so knew things were going well & I'd be able to see him soon 😃
Work was fine, my eldest pupil accidentally told me they loved me at the end of the day, in their rush to go home 🤣 made me smile.
Picked up DS3 & G/F, then headed home to see DS1. It's so good to have him home again. After doing a sewing job & then taking G/F home, I sat down with him & he showed me all his photos. Pleased he had a great time!
Grateful for having my boy back, seeing his photos, my friend picking him up from the airport, my pupil saying they loved me & an ebony saleUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

NSD 13 today.
Lunch made for tomorrow, so tomorrow might be another one. Pay day tomorrow and there was enough left in my spending account to transfer a little to savings (its cheating as half my car repairs are still on the credit card but the plan was always to clear that from tomorrow's pay so it will be cleared before the bill comes in).
Painting was done, so another wall finished. I'm doing it in stages so DD doesn't get totally fed up with me ignoring her while I paint and it means my "niggly arm" doesn't get any worse.
@grandmanerd, glad the funeral went as well as it could, and I had a chuckle at your wall-papering tales, my painting is similar but with a step-ladder!
@Thrifty_Taylor, thanks, it will be finished eventually!
@Toni'sfriend, hugs 🫂, hopefully the next stages of investigation and treatment happen quickly.8 -

Morning turtles,Still on NSD 5 I believe. Yesterday I managed to turn up at the wrong time for my dentist appointment; they were able to squeeze me in for a clean but I’ll have to go back today for the fillings. So no NSD today either.
All food from stores yesterday. I walked to my dentist appointment (30min) but no other exercise done. Won’t be able to gym today either. Will make up for it on Friday.Decided I will treat bf and I to a nice dinner out when I get my bonus next week, and the rest (after I’ve paid for both our dental work) will go into savings.Grateful for dentist not charging me for being late, for a fairly easy work day and it almost being Friday.Student loan £5655

Thank you all so much for your good wishes. I really do appreciate every single one. Idee - Trust me I will not be googling anything, Greent - Thank you so very much for your post. It was really helpful and encouraging. I may very well take you up on your offer if you don't mind.
So, I'm a bit all over the place this morning. Yesterday I was really positive. Changed the bedding, did the washing and ironing, made soup and cooked dinner. But didn't sleep well last night so I'm feeling quite anxious now. Still, the house won't clean itself so I'd better get on with it.
Just having a nice coffee and then I'm going to light all my scented candles. I know it's morning but they do help me relax.
Have a great day. my lovely Turtles. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -
