Great news @greentManaged a decent lie in with no back pain for the first time all week today, very much needed and I feel refreshed for a change!Cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and mopped the floors, emptied bins, and tidied "bunny corner" this morning.Went to see my share pony, decided not to ride as thought it might be too icy but did long line him for an hour so got my steps in.
Popped down to my sister's to give my niece a belated birthday gift, stayed for a while and caught up, then came home and did a workout with my pilates bar. Got a bath running now and OH is out with friends for dinner so I'll be settling down on the sofa with my book!NSD's - 13Healthy food days - 13Workouts this week - 59 -
NSD 8/15.
Very lazy day. DS got invited to his friends house so didn’t go anywhere.2 carrier bags full of papers given to my sister to burn in her log burner. This gives me the incentive to sort out the conservatory this week as those bags were in there and now made a bit of space to get in there.
A slightly calmer week a head so feeling better about things 😊Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2608 -

Thrifty_Taylor - I managed to be in London for the Poll Tax riots. My father actually saw me on television as my friend and I turned and walked away - as fast as we could. Managed to keep a block or two ahead of the rioters and finally got out of the area. No buses or underground running as they shut down the stations near the rioting. Had been looking for the place to buy tickets for the theatre that night - never found it and I'm glad we didn't as the theatre area was shut down. Then went to Oxford - and ran in to the demonstration there. Hope your son keeps his head on - and stays away from any follow-up troubles if possible.
It does give you a different perspective on things though.9 -
Good evening allHope you feel better soon @Toni'sfriendGreat news @greentStill on NSD #12 I think. Hopefully I will rack up a few more during the coming week.Still really cold here, everywhere looks like a Christmas card, which is all very nice if you don't have to go out in it!I did a huge batch cook yesterday, using up loads of oddments from the freezer and fridge. I made:A Mary Berry banana bread to use up a brown bananaA crumble, to use up a couple of sad looking apples and some berries from the freezerLeek and potato soup, to use up leeks and potatoes from last week's L*dl £1.50 veg box (had half for lunch with DD yesterday)A big chilli, used up carrots and a chilli from the freezer, peppers from the veg box and lurking mushrooms, among other thingsA big sausage casserole, using more veg box contents and 6 sausages to make generous meals for the 2 of us for 2 daysSo not much cooking needed today, or for the rest of the week. We had the rest of the soup for lunch, and some leftover cooked chicken in a bun with some salad and a few chips on the side for dinner.Grateful today for easy food and a warm house!9

A spend day today so still 11 NSDs.
Only spend was on DDs sport class so planned and worth while.
Dinner went in the slow cooker, painting has progressed a bit further and DD has finished her thank you cards from Christmas. So all in all a good day!
@greent- excellent news.
Back to work tomorrow for another week of general chaos. But before that I have tonight's Vera to catch up on.11 -
I bet that was scary @weenancyinAmerica! Glad you remained unscathed.
NSD can't remember how many!
Had a lovely day. I hung the washing on the line, then went for a 4.7mile walk. Did some Du0ling0 whilst I had dinner, then picked up a friend to help with a beach clean. There were quite a lot of us, so not much to pick up initially, so we headed a bit further along. Scrambled down some grassy cliffy bits to different bays, filled my black bag & found 10 bits of wood for next year's fires, including an oar & a very long branch! My friend slipped on the rocks but said she was ok. The heavens opened, so we carried everything back to the carpark, only to find everyone else had gone home! There was a lady who is on the eco committee, but not taking part still there, so she loaded our bags into her campervan, just as another couple of people returned with their bags!
Rewarded myself with a hot chocolate with marshmallows when I got home, closed my eyes 10 mins, then my brother phoned. After tea I shortened a pair of trousers, the lady picked them up tonight too 😊 Had a nice long bath with my book.
DS1 has ticked off the last 9 places he wanted to visit (had 60 in total!). His feet are swollen & blistered, so he's taking it easy tomorrow & going to spend his day going to cafes & restaurants. Looking forward to having him home again on Wednesday!
Grateful for a nice walk, the beach clean, time to readUse it up, wear it out
