I haven't done any housework either. As soon as I hoover/tidy up all my House Troll's friends come round and I may as well not have bothered. I have trained them to put their cups in the dishwasher and sometimes they put the cushions and blankets in the right places but I've decided that I'm having Christmas holidays too. I'll sort it out when they're back in college.

We had a quiet day, celebrating next weekend as my husband will be on his treatment break.

Officially debt free (cheated though as it was my husband's life insurance... )
Trying to sell a house, and fundraising/ saving/ working my backside off to get my husband cancer care outside of the UK to extend his life.

I hope you had a quiet but good birthday.

I think you are right to do what you can around the house and not fret if things don't get done.  I was reminded of Days Like This by Van Morrison as an antidote to bleurgh days.

I've seen you on the grocery challenge thread - I love it over there - it's transformed my food spending.
