  • Right, update from me on my collection.  Had several waiting for me yesterday when I turned up so a good start.  Managed to get 4 from Mr T's, 1 from hubby (a Shakespeare hollow crown), 5 from my corner shop and 7 from bingo.  So my total for the week is £34

Had half term off of work so I didn't manage to get my £2 coins last week, I have managed to get another 5 this week, (2 patterned 3 plain) so my pot now stands at £74.
    Happy hunting everyone  :)

Lady Mother insisted on paying for a bag of veg & Youngest didn't get my frantic gestures of let the matter drop - I was able to slide the fiver back into her hand later but the plain £2 coin stayed. (He cooks & shops so carries my bank card so when mum askes "how much did you spend" he can honestly reply "nothing", but this time she changed the wording & wrung a number from him.)

Another great month! My Quiz team saved them for me and my children do some swaps too. Hubby insists on selling them to me for a profit - which I refuse to do! I do sneak them in my pocket if he sends me to the bar and they come in my change!

£60 total for February. One First World War coin, all the rest plain.

Nice one Nellie75.  That's an excellent total for February.  You are going to have to change your target before long

I've had a pretty good couple of weeks.  Turns out the reason there are so many £2 coins at bingo is a gentleman pays for all his and his wife's bingo books in £2.  Apparently, he has a lot at home which he's quietly spending.  I'm now taking extra cash with me to swap those lovely coins out into my pocket if I can get there before my other £2 saving colleagues do.

So, I've just dropped another £54 into my lovely pot.  All plain but they all still count.  1 was from the bar at bingo when I paid for my soft drink, 3 from Mr T's checkout (I did have to ask the cashier to hand them over in my change though), 2 from my lovely hubby, 1 from taking my mum out for coffee and the rest from bingo.

    Happy potting everyone!
