Will any of the other consoles play Divx - for instances my Playstation 2?

Don't think the PS2 will play Divx, even with modifcation. Xbox does not play them either out of the box, but will happily play them with the softmod/hardmod and Xbox Media Center installed.

Yup, if I remember correctly they are basically a PC under the hood anyway. £20 seems amazing really, I seem to remember last christmas PS2s and Xbox's were just over the £100 pound mark. Gonna check out my local GAME if I get time tommorow, let's hope I get lucky!
  • how much is a used ps2??
on ebay they seem to be going for loads. not sure if to get xbox or ps2 for occasional play

  • Finally manage to convince the local Game to scan the Xbox and they agree it's £20. I get it home to find that it will play only one of the games I own - and only intermittently! Another traipse into town as their phone is constantly engaged...

Wow that is an amazing price and with XBMC unbeatable as a media centre.

With the right cables/TV the XBOX will display high definition video and it looks really sharp.

I have used XBMC for the past 4 years and still it is the best, most versatile media centre available....

    There's an article here... http://lifehacker.com/software/geek-to-live/transform-your-classic-xbox-into-a-killer-media-center-299809.php

you can use a "friends" modded xbox to get the files over to the memory card rather than shelling out for action replay , i got a copy of splinter cell with mine wich is needed to mod and it was 98p

Is there a way of copying the files direct from the PC to the xbox without the need for an Action Replay? I dont have a friend with modded xbox but I could make a crossover cable if its possible this way.
