I'd advise people to ask the staff to test the console before you leave the store. I ended up with a faulty one so had to face the onslaught of Christmas shopping madness twice today! They tested the second one for me and it works just fine.

I saw this yesterday (thank you!!!!) and bought one today at my local GAME in Watford.
Original preowned for £19.98. Also bought 4 games for £10 (also preowned)

They did say they had quite a few so good luck! (Very slow in there though)

picked up one from Leicester Shires for £20 yesterday, from the main store on the bottom floor (Debenhams franchise had none).

Lad looked shocked when i enquired, think there's quite a few left.

I also got 2 controllers (a spare Madcatz one) with mine.

For those discussing xbox live as well doing the xbmc mod, please be aware that you SHOULD NOT login to xbox live once the box has been modded. Microsoft will detect the mod (modded boxes are not allowed on xbox live), and ban your account.

Got Call of Duty and Fifa 06 for another £7 at the same time, that's a lot of entertainment for less than £30 :cool:

I think i shall tell my OH about this.. we have an XBox with XBMC on it and we use it all the time. I know he wants to buy a second one to put away for if and when this one goes bust!

Thanks very much for this one. We passed by a Game shop in Harrow today and decided to try my luck when the kids were not around. Got the last one in the shop :T . The sticker said £29.99, but at the till, the price came up as £20. The controller we got with it is damaged, but the shop said they will replace it which is great.

there are a couple remaining at Game Cambridge in the Grafton. Sales person stated there were 3 available. The unit that was sold to me was boxed and black. I asked about the crystal unit but he stated they had none. For £20 its a bargain complete with a 12 month warranty.
