  • Got a black one with 2 controllers, a power cable, scart lead and dvd remote from Chorley for £19.98. They had 15 left.

It was faulty originally so swapped it for another which is fine. Get them to test it in the shop first.

I went in today at about 1pm and it was very busy, I asked the manager who was standing about and he said they have them in, just que up and ask at the counter, Looks in decent condition, One controller, and a scart adaptor and power cable, Thats about it, not botherd about the remotes though, I got it for the media center install.

Wow they are heavy! Walking back from town.

    Yeah :D

Got my power cable now. Just went into another GAME and told the manager, they gave me a spare one, didn't even want to check the receipt!

Splinter cell original game, (maybe others), a memory card and a crossover cable.
There is plenty of advice on various websites for the procedure

So you do need a memory card?

Yes, unless someone else has found an easier alternative

I beleive you can also use a modified USB adapter cable, and USB memory stick but thats not so reliable.
A second hand 8mb Xbox memory stick should only be £2 from behind the counter of Gamestation type of shop.

  • Got mine - anyone know where I can pick up the following items:

    - A wireless network card for the xbox
    - A s-vid (yellow from 3 way composite) to VGA cable so I can use the ex-bochs through one of my old CRT's
