I've got quite a few of these lying around - brand new in box with original sealed games - never used (4No. games with each xbox). Bought them to give as a gift but was asked for xbox 360 afterwards.

If anyone wants it let me know and we can sort out a deal. I am in Central London if someone wants to pick up locally.

I got xbox from game station and i want to use it as media center ,can i not softmod it using pc and lan cable? do i need to buy the games .action reply and other stuff?

I have got pc and ethernet cable with router ,I thought this will do,pls can anyone suggest minimum thing i will need to softmod it and from where should we purchase it

No you need a game and a memory card and something to transfer the exploit save game onto the memory card. I think there might be other ways of doing it if you know someone who has a soft-modded Xbox. See http://www.xbox-scene.com/

In terms of games for to do the exploit Gamestation are selling Splinter Cell for £1 / 0.99p which will do the job.

I have used following guide to install new HD on a few occassions.

Also I would never use SID. Krayzie NDURE is the way to go. SID used to have a very bad reputation with noobs getting errors when trying to install. Things might have improved since SID 3.1. The creator of SID used to use the outdated PBL bios rather than NKpatcher although he did later change to NKpatcher.

Has anyone found a cheap place to get a 250GB HDD ? They are quite expensive on ebuyer etc relative to the price I paid a year ago.

NDURE seems to be the most up to date, but from what I gather there are extra steps to take when upgrading the HD compared to other mods.

Apparently my camera is a compatible USB device so I'm going to use that conjunction with a female USB soldered onto the joypad memory card port.

It's quite a task modding it, if you're new to the game or not a computer whizz, so I'd mod it first. Then when you feel happy with what you're doing, do the hard drive. I have still to do the HD on my 2x XBMC's, but as I stream DivX, xVid and MP3's across my network, there is little need at present.
