Ah well too late, my order with dvd.co.uk is showing as with dispatch, so I can't cancel it . I googled and froogled earlier but couldn't find a lower price.
Thanks for the offer of the cable anyway, Hopefully I will get my AR in a couple of days time and be able to get xbmc back running . Been using tversity and my 360 but it isn't as easy/clean as xbmc is, the re-encoding of non divx etc is a pain and it needs another pc on. (The reason I got my old xbox back in use was this thread and seeing what xbmc can do, really nice piece of s/w. I used to use xbmp about 3-4 years ago but I gave up and hadn't had the xbox on for a while)Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0 -
Ken, if you have amy way of returning the A/R I have a USB flash with the SC exploits and a connector cable that I will willingly lend. You'd need to wait until someone else has used it but the offer is there if you need it.
GAME at Coventry Ricoh Arena had loads of £20 Xboxes this evening if anyone is still looking. No remotes (though the lad checked all the boxes in case someone had left one with the console) but I did get a free DS lite case0 -

reason i recommended action replay was cos the xploder's aren't going for that much on ebay (around £10 inc shipping) whereas with the AR you should get your money back (or a bit more) if you just sold it straight away (someone included a copy of splinter cell (99p) with one and it went for ~£21):money:

they still have the sale going? dunno if i can face another trip in, finding someone willing to check, then willing to check for black ones, then for dates, then for any including remotes...
dunno if i mentioned earlier but the guy in york said they get between 1 and 2 used xboxes in each week and it's an averageish sized store in an average size city so hopefully most stores will be much the same, so if anyone's been out of luck before then try again after a couple weeks
and thanks for sending the stick silver, hopefully won't take too long to arrivewill let you know when it does.
does anyone have a normal memory card with the saves on? it'd prolly be easier to start posting that around to people than usb sticks as it's guaranteed to work and you shouldn't need anything else to use it cept a controller...
oh and anyone looking for usb adapter cables, this guy's cheapest if you're just looking for one (£5.69): http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/adapter_man/
or this guy if you wanna get any more than one: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/yago51
or just make you own if you have a spare xbox male end.0 -

Also the person who had trouble with usb memory sticks, did you do the following:
Check the connections on your adaptor.
Before plugging the memory stick into the pc you need to plug it into the xbox, then choose memory and format it ON the Xbox.
Then plug it into the PC and hack the action replay drivers, once its installed then just use action replay to transfer the saves across, then plug it into your xbox copy the saves across. Then your done!0 -

AR mem cards are not a patch on official units this is why Krayzies NDURE uses some two part exploit saves which are well short of full size to prevent corruption.0

Those Xploder cables are on sale at 47p in Currys Digital in Birmingham Bull Ring centre.
Also they were in my local PCWorld (Selly Oak, Birmingham) for some stupid price.
Lastly, Game in Birmingham Pallasades (not Bull Ring) have stocks of Xbox @ £19.99
You can then buy 4 games for £10 from any Gamestation.
They do 4 for £20 for the newer games, but wait and they too will be 4 for £10.
Also, try your local CEX (Computer Exchange) who have lots of Xbox games at really low prices (couple of quid).
Birmingham's is under Virgin megastore, top of Bull St.

I've been ripped off then. Xploder Lite packs are 97p in my Currys in Doncaster!0
