Has anyone tried Tesco's or Asda for one?
Been roaming around today and got lucky, 1 from Tesco's @ 24.99 and 1 from Asda @ 22.99...... The sales assistants in both stores were quite surprised when I asked for the ORIGINAL and not the 360 and said the box had been gathering dust for ages

This faulty power cord thing has really got me worried now.
My console is also within the timeframe which means it could be faulty.
I have read a couple news where the xbox actually blew up....
I hope I get a replacement powercord when I phone them up.
But I have read even with the replacement cord there were a couple of occasion that the xbox blew up/caught fire!!!!
That's quite a concern.
Can somebody please post a picture of the replacement cord so I will know if my cord has already been replaced.
Thanks
You'd know if you had a new cord, it has a great big box with a test and reset button!Mine arrived really quickly once I convinced them I need one. Better ring up sometime for one for my second Xbox, the cable that came with it looks like it belongs on a kettle!

not quite.the early affected models got those.
later ones got an identical power cord to the original but with two little lugs that push flush against the xbox case to create less 'waggle' moving the cable0 -
Milton Keynes store (Next to post office) have 5 pre-owned Xbox machines for 19.99. I have purchased one today, so at 15:00 there were 4 left. And if you ask nicely, they might give you an extra controller. They chucked an extra one in the box for me :-)0

I checked my local ASDA and the XBOX there is still coming up at £99. Astonishing that they still think they'll sell it at that price.0 -
I can't decide, say both were in stock. A new Black one for £22.49 from Asda, or a pre-owned Crystal one for £19.99.0

The Crystal one does look cool but if it's the black that's putting you off I found an Ebay seller who does silver skins for a few quid. This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

It's not the black, I've already got a black one, but I want another for the other room, and I was thinking I can put LED's and cathodes in a crystal one!0
