Has anybody got a spare memory card they can sell/lend me to mod my box or an action replay please.
My old box failed yesterday, just after updating the xbmc ;-( So I bought a replacement from gamestation this morning (£39.99 with any 4 of the 4/£10 games, I said I don't want any games so they said its the same price! Would have tried Game but the nearest is a 2 hour drive away) I tried the usb cable hack but none of my mem cards even power up. So I need some kind sole to send me an Xbox memory card with the ndure saves for Spliter Cell please. All costs covered. PM me please.

ok guys i softmoded my xbox and installed xbmc as dashboard. all this went ok.
Now I started a new problem, when i shutdown my xbox and remove the power supply (more than 5/6 hrs ) and then if I try to start it it doesnt boot into xbmc dashboard neither MS dashboard , it just stay as blank screen
can anyone tell me what could be the problem
if I put splinter cell CD then it does start the game and again goes into SID setup and start working from there.
Only weired thing i did is I tried to install SID5 and then my xbmc installation started halting, so I unstalled sid5 and installed sid4 and then did the installation of xbmc dashboard.
Does anyone know how to set xbox to boot permanently in XBMC dashboard? do I need to do anything with bios?

hmmm thats a weird one.
tbh it shouldnt matter once the .xbe is set to boot the dash
all i can offer is demodding it and starting again

I sort of had this problem, I had xbmc installed and fine,

Then unplugged it and moved it to another location, It was off for a while and when i turned it on it said failed, contact microsoft.

This was because the Microsoft Dash was corrupt when i installed the softmod and it wouldnt let me boot up xbmc.

The only fix i had was to restore the drive and reinstall xbmc. This then made the MS dash work fine and when i did this another time with moving it, It booted up the ms dash, Asked me for the date and time, I restarted and it booted the softmod up fine.

It seems to me like the ms dash is corrupt then.

I didn't think the ndure hack was version specific? Anyway the new one is a 1.6 by the serial num. 2115694 53205

sounds like a 1.6b; ndure isn't but seems usb devices are versions specific and a lot less work with 1.6 versions than the earlier ones. you should pm either theronkinator or silvercharming about it as both have said they've got sticks that work with 1.6. unless anyone's willing to send an action replay over... fwiw, dvd.co.uk have them for 14.99 shipped, and they usually sell for that much before postage on ebay so you shouldn't loose much doing it that way.

Yes I do, its a generic 16mb usb drive built into the end of a biro, it worked first time. We're hopeing to get two more Xboxs to mod aswell, so I'll need it back to do them. Also do you have a usb adaptor, as mine fell apart, so I can't lend you one of them.

I have a spare xploder cable but you'd still need a memory card. Let me know if you want it.
