I will try to give you the exact answer when I get a chance to look at it. but in the mean time if you want to run xbmc, you need to navigate to E\apps\ then find xbmc.xbe or something like that. That will launch Xbmc for you. If that works I think you just need to put it in root of E:\ drive. BTW it would also be good idea to create apps folder on e drive and then put xbmc files there.

Can anyone who has upgraded to a large HD tell me what it does to the responsiveness when booting etc (particularly when loaded with files)

250GB+ seem to offer better value per GB atm, but its quite an outlay without knowing the cons.

I'm getting sick of posting this.

Any Xbox can be softmodded the same way. I've softmodded three 1.6 Xbox now, it was a breeze to do and was really quick, put bigger HDD's in them all. So please stop posting irrelevant old articles that are out of date and mean nothing. I'm not posting this again, so if you don't believe me its your loss. Hell I even posted a big guide to softmod and upgrade the HDD on what of the earlier pages in this thread.
Also the guide i posted has links to all the software you need, Including the new dashboard.

I want to soft mod my crystal xbox but when I connect my memory card to my pc with the xploder cable, it doesn't recognise my memory card in either the hacked action replay or the xploder software that came with the cable! do i need a different xbox memory card?

Some memory cards don't work, in the end I used a USB Flash drive, Action replay should see the memory card fine, it should work, just some don't like the softmod files. Maybe you hacked the drivers wrong.

I was trying to leave the door open to use xbox live and NDURE looked like it does this.

Dashboard files are no use to an unmodded box AFAIK it must be updated by Live enabled game if there's no Live option in the MS dash.

As already posted use Xplorer360 to transfer the files on the PC (check my previous posts for how to prepare the files for this) assuming it works fine as an Xbox memory card.

i tried using the xplorer360 drezsa but when i try to open the memory card, it just says cannot find any fatx devices! ive formatted the memory card on the xbox even!
