I found this method the other day. This is the simplest method and requires no action replay or usbview, if you have a compatible USB memory card

well i'm hoping game york have some after the leeds shambles, but if not would anyone consider buying me one elsewhere and posting it? on the other hand, if york have some, anyone want me to pick one up for them and post it to you? money can be sorted out online before hand if needed.

I have modded my xbox. My kit is for sale and includes a 64MB memory card, USB xbox adaptor cable, and the game splinter cell which is needed. The exploits will already be on the USB card so all you have to do is plug the card into you xbox and away you go.:) PM for details....

Had mine modded,
A guy down the road did it for a tenner so for £30 I have a media centre. I have it connected to the internet and can stream stuff straight off the pc. Next step is a bigger HD.

York Game only have Crystal (1.6) version xboxs at the moment. kinda useless for a cheap htpc as mods are much more complicated, hardware is different, tv out is a lot more work with no overscan support.... not to mention non of the guides will be of any use if you get stuck. so.... anyone know if they get re-stocked regularly with pre-owned consoles? might be able to go check the leeds ones again in a couple week, but with my luck i'm the only guy here who can't get hold of one :rolleyes:

You can get some excellent bargains though. Last year I got Far Cry for the PC for £1, when I took it to the till the guy said it was BOGOF so I got 2 games for a £1!

game in portsmouth (outside in commercial rd)have splinter cell for 98p.

Just remember if you upgrade your HDD at a later date you will have to do the exploit again. Or if the HDD corrupts

I have a 1.6 and it was simple to MOD and works flawlessly streaming and as a media centre... Who said the 1.6 was worse to mod??
