My mum rented a house in a small town on the Welsh coast last week and I joined her for a long weekend. There are 2 charity shops in town and the first one we went into was a little goldmine
I had a fat face cardigan, I white stuff dress and a windmill 'going out dress', Mum had a pair of craghopper walking trousers and a fat face duffel coat. The coat was £8, everything else £4 each, all in lovely condition tooI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I had a chaz-tastic morning! I had to collect something this morning, which gave me an incentive to get going this morning instead of pottering round the house drinking coffee.
Chaz #1 - I was drawn to by a picture of Madonna and Child, which I saw lots of in Russia. Mine for £1. Then a smart black cardigan-jacket and blouse from M&S Collection, £2 each; Betty Barclay and Mango blouses, £3 each.
Chaz #2 - 3 pairs of jeans (one BNWT), a sports top and a Whistles scarf - £1 each. 4 books for £1, 2 latte glasses for £1 and what could either be a kick-stool or a shoe rack for £2. You tell me?
Mucho happiness for just £20. Housework and daily fitness target achieved, all before 12pm, bonusNo man is worth crawling on this earth.

Hello all,
Been enjoying reading although not able to shop with everything going on at the moment.
I popped in to ours last week, to buy some butter knives as my knives are not as good. I managed to get some, 5 records (£1 each for crooners) and 4 books. I tried to buy a dress but the prices are now very high and I can get what I need cheaper on resale sites.I have noticed an increase in people trawling ours to purchase items to sell on. There was one group who I parked next to who assumed because it’s where the pensioners live they would get vintage galore. Sadly for them that is not the case our local shops are on the ball now the volunteers are younger and tech savvy, anything like that (signed books etc) and they send it off to their London shops or sell online. I stumbled across our hospice online last week selling Hermes scarves!!!The records are not cheap either where I am -it’s about £10 a gap. So I think I will need to find another chazzing location even though my local is so convenient.5 -

My neighbour volunteers and we were chatting she said anything of value or they think will earn money no-longer goes into the shop. I thought it was just the one she volunteers at but I have heard the same from others. A friend of mine lives close to Windsor and says it’s the same for her.
