Hi everyone,
#70 here with first overpayment of £100
I know that’s a small amount towards my ambitious target of £12,000 this year, but I decided to put £2,000 into a 1 year savings account at 4.5% and save £250 a month into a 1 year account at the same rate. This is much higher than my mortgage rate of 1.89%.So when both mature at the end of December, I can pay a lump sum off. This means I need to overpay £583.33 each month to hit my target.
