I'd like to join too please, but on a £1 additional income rather than savings :)

It'll hopefully give me an opportunity to get off my backside and do something different this year as I've been playing with a lot of ideas in my head and not done anything with them for the last few months ;)
That is fine.  I have set your challenge amount as £365 then rather than the usual amount of £667.95 for the year.  Is that right?
Sorry ES, I was referring to £1 first day, £2 second, but this may have to be updated monthly/quarterly depending on how often I can be bothered to throw management accounts together.

Lets have a go at net profit, I'm referring to a new business venture. Total should be £66,795 for the year but due to the plan in progress will be split between 2 (possibly 3) currencies. I'll use official exchange rates at 1st of the month for that.
Goodness that is an ambitious target.  Good luck with your new business venture.  Feel free to update whenever.
Service-based with low fixed costs is the key to that, in an industry with severe staffing shortages at the moment..

There are a few contracts in the pipeline at the moment and the 'priority' one should secure around 1/5 of that alone. This for me is about social impact that can be made though in a specific area, not personal profit, but happy to join to remain on track and set an ambitious target :)

I'd love to join too please. This will be my first time trying this challenge. I'm aiming to just empty my purse each day or get cashback and the supermarket and tick off random amounts as I go. Will probably work backwards too. Thanks!

Hello ES, I’d like to join please. Any number is okay. Thank you for running this thread! I’m still working out the best way to do this in terms of cash/savings account etc, but will print off the chart and see where it takes me! I read the MSE article on the home page, and here I am x

Having read more from people here how they actually do it, I’m going to start in January and go backwards with the smallest amount saved in December 2023.

    Good luck all x

    Hi,

I would like to start this challenge please - any number is good for me, and thanks for running the thread.

I'm going to do random amounts by using a random number picker app. I already had 9p in an old savings account so that was yesterday's amount. Today the app gave me 337 so £3.37 has been transferred across today. Total saved now £3.46! My challenge will end on 28 December 2023.

    Many thanks!

  • Thanks for assigning a number. I'm going to try this in reverse but if I get part way through January and am struggling with the larger amounts then I'll go for some lower numbers until pay day. I have a spreadsheet so I can mark the amounts off as i go. 😀

Welcome and I have updated with your starting number.  Interesting way of tackling the challenge using a random number picker.
