Friend has paid off last advance payment and needs to apply for another

Hi flower she paid the last payment this afternoon so will it show on Monday
I'm sorry but i don't know enough about the inner workings of your friend's bank to answer.
The reason for phoning DWP in this case is that the person at DWP who picks up the phone may well be able to start the process to ensure an advance payment is paid before Christmas, even if the previous advance shows as not repaid on the portal. They may be able to do it on the same phone call, or you may find they take the details down and your friend gets a call back later on Monday. But there is no guarantee DWP will approve a further advance: it is worth stressing to them the points of hardship earlier in the thread (no food to eat, no heating etc.) if they accurately apply to your friend.

She only got paid today and she paid it off she couldn’t of paid it off the other day as she has nothing . That’s the reason why she wants the advance as she’s got absolutely nothingpoppy12345 said:As i advised i do not know and as i advised previously..
Why has she left it so late, there's only 5 working days left before Christmas.poppy12345 said:
your friend will need to ring and they will tell them whether they can have the loan during the phone call.Standingstrong said:flower77g said:how long does it take to show as repaid so she can apply for one
Given it has actually been repaid, I'd suggest phoning DWP and requesting an advance on Monday morning. Telephone is 0800 328 5644. If it shown on Monday morning online as being repaid, this can also be done online.
please advice so I can tell my friend as she cant stop panicking0 -
If she paid by a Faster Payments bank transfer it is usually instant.
As she has paid off previous advances she therefore should know from those past experiences how soon the final payments are credited.0 -
She didn’t know that she could transfer it to them so she done it via card …The_Fat_Controller said:If she paid by a Faster Payments bank transfer it is usually instant.

she’s literally got nothing I feel so bad for her0 -
You did not answer the question, how long did previous payments take to show as paid ?0

If she only got paid yesterday then they may not agree to the budgeting advance. Does she work?

It can take up to a week for the repaid advance to show on the UC claim. Until it shows as repaid on the system, they won't be able to issue another advance, as the system will block it and this cannot be overriden.
DWP is open unitl 24/12 so can do a normal payment up to Tuesday or Wednesday I think it is for it to credit on Friday, faster payments are currently on an exceptional basis only, owing to cold weather payments, early benefit payments and any overspill cost of living payments being made.

So if it shows REPAID on Monday which I doubt she can apply and it’ll go into her account on Friday .tomtom256 said:It can take up to a week for the repaid advance to show on the UC claim. It can take a week to show as being repaid back. This means she’s likely to be too late to have the budgeting advance paid before Christmas. Which is exactly what Alice advised on the first page of the thread.Standingstrong said:

OP If your friend is constantly having to get loans then there is something wrong.
Is she paying unsecured debts off?
Does she need budgeting advice?
This is something that needs to be addressed to stop all this happening again. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.7
