            The post union said they would be striking on 23rd & 24th December. I assumed that meant no post anywhere but maybe you were lucky & a few postman decided to go to work in your area.1

I had post on the 23rd. Postie said he has 3 young kids and a mortgage to pay. Remember, people don't get paid when they go on strike.             Passbook finally received today, letter dated 10th, passbook dated 6th December for an application sent the day it was released.
They must have farmed out the processing around the branches as even though I posted to the Newport head office, the “issuing office” stamp is Swansea.0
