Well I'd like to be a Monmouthshire Nov/Dec regular saver but I don't seem to have managed it yet. I don't know who is to blame......me, building society, postal strikes, rail strikes or anything else that isn't working......and it's only been 2.5 weeks since I posted the application !0

The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.2 -
Subjecttocontract the issues are discussed atIf you wish to know rwcent progress around the account its best to follow the discussion there as most up-to-date info will be posted there by others who have applied.2

Neither the cheques have been cashed and no contact from MBS.
The accounts have to be manually added online even after they are opened.
There's also frequently a signature cheque that MBS rely.on which can hold.up the process.
The Best Currently Available List has huge amounts of noise on it with others in a similar position - with earlier applicants gradually having their accounts open.
The upshot is - be patient and it may well bear fruit.

Veryintrigued as you state"The thread you've highlighted is the 'Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List! - as you well know."Now considering Monmouthshire Christmas Regular saver is THE top paying open to all Regular Saver currently on offer it fits perfectly into that thread I highlighted for users who don't already follow it and those users who believe, unlike you, that the most appropriate place to discuss the best RS on offer is there. For those who missed it here's the link3

This dedicated Monmouthshire Regular Saver thread is much more appropriate and thoughtful.
**Starts clock on how long it'll take to return and cause the mayhem you thrive on**
It won't surprise that this is my last post in this thread.0 -

Surprised to see my £200 cheque was taken yesterday, so hold in there! Now how many days till the account details arrive back by post… 😄1

This business of the main thread and a dedicated thread is a hard one to call. Like many others on here I get mildly excited when I'm told there are 15 or so posts that I've not read on the main discussion, only to be disappointed - it's all 'mine has just arrived too' or discussions about catchment areas - but it takes a few minutes probably twice a day.
So I don't mind personally. When the main thread has alerted me to something that is pulled in days I'm grateful.
The problem with a dedicated thread is that you have two places to search. If the dedicated were devoted to 'mine has arrived too' it would probably be worth it, but how to you achieve that?
A lot to be said for the status quo.
