Evening all, just a quick post.
Been busy with Christmas decorations, now almost up (will soon be time to come down) and DD1 and family being here in the afternoons.
Mrs SD, I think I'm just going to put the dolls clothes on pay it forward and see if anyone wants them.
DGD has already taken a doll home today but not counted as she'll probably bring it back tomorrow.
Last day of school tomorrow and I'm not ready for Christmas at all.
Bins finally got emptied today so a few bits gone, realised that all the other stuff I have waiting (already 4 bin bags full) probably won't leave the house until 2024!
I hope to join you all in 2024 and hopefully another 2000+ items gone, we might start to see a little bit of space.

Hi all, slow decluttering day here today. I was a bit achey after yesterday
I had a long phone call to my dsis. All ok there thank goodness, and a text conversation with dniece to try to sort out when we can have a chat, it's looking like the new year at the moment as they are quite busy and every time they have suggested I am busy
The kitchen recycling was emptied and I had a sort out of the fridge. Batch cooked a pasta sauce thing that we had for tea and 2 meals into the freezer. I had a clean up in the bathroom and threw the shower curtain in the washing machine. 100 emails deleted. I have ordered a couple of books for dnephew which should arrive on Saturday and a hand held vacuum cleaner for OH to use in the car which was only mentioned the other day as a wish for christmas. Hopefully it will save my house one being dragged down the path to clean the car. The books for dnephew will be posted to dsis but there is no urgency as dnephew will not be back until February. Also that is definitely the last christmas present, I thought I'd finished days ago
@Muddy_Walker oh families can be the absolute limit, OH has a sister that has been completely cut off, maybe you can do something similar or limit contact in some way, hugs.
Right off to bed hoping I can do better tomorrow, hugs to anybody who would like one

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Back rather later than intended 😔 I managed to find enough space in he freezer to put away the meat but the bottles of alcohol are still in the kitchen. Dinner was KC. Wudupa
2516 - 2517 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled

Foofoopuppy, definitely decluttering - replacing rubbish coat hangers for quality coat hangers 🙂 I have made a note of your targets for 2024 & am looking forward to seeing you. Remember how ‘curious’ I am? What part of America are you going to? Good luck with the savings 🍀
Just realised what the time is, so I am off to bed & will try to catch up again tomorrow or should that be later today 😉

Please also count me in for 2024 Mrs Salad Dodger. I actually had a slight panic that there might not be a 2024 thread! I don’t do numbers as I am more visual, therefore my goal is to see space/order around me and in the cupboards and drawers, sheds, garage etc. Just to have that calmness and general sense of being able to breathe in a space without it feeling choked up. It may take years to achieve but I am already very pleased with how this year has gone and how little I have brought in over the year. So Space and Order are my goals for 2024.16

Just popped my head around the door of the ex-computer/desk room, now returned to a second spare room once more, and spotted a bag of curtains that can go to the CS today. I don't use them anymore and nice as they are its a waste for them to be just sitting there when they might do someone else some use, plus put some money into the charity as well.
In my little town there has opened up a branch of 'Gillingham Street Angels' who help local homeless and vulnerable folk who are struggling. Some have been rehomed and need stuff, so the curtains will be handy for some one
Its in the ex-Lloyds Bank building so its far better than standing empty as it had been for several years. Very handy for lots of people as they have apparently a dept of outgrown school uniforms which really do help hard up Mums and Dads, as we have two senior schools locally, and their uniforms can be expensive
I remember when my grandchildren were younger how their Mum with 5 children 4 boys close together and a girl had a job outfitting them, and their horrendous shoe bill every September was eye-watering, especially the boys as they are all tall large young men Even now they are grown up the four boys tower over me.
So I may, also before I take and drop off the curtains, see if I can find another bagful to help them out.
Its a bit breezy today but not too cold at least its dry after yesterday's rain so a short walk will do me good and declutter some more bits

oceanspirit, you must be so excited - so very close to Maintenance Mode Decluttering 🤩 Good luck disposing of the Big Frogs 🍀
Muddy_Walker said:(((((Cwtches Mrs SD))))) for your kind words. People are always shocked when I vent about my family - I always respond with “you haven’t walked in my shoes so keep your mouth shut!!!”
Muddy Walker - as you say, you are the only person who experiences you and your life, no one else can truly know.
My family visits went well on Sunday (OH was with me) however that was followed by a very different phone call on Monday when they knew OH was out. It wasn’t the words that were used - the tone with which they were delivered showed very clearly that the words were intended to wound.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅18 -
Morning all - we all overslept this morning. DGS4 had a disturbed night with his asthma and a snotty cold. He eventually came in my bed but it was 5 before we went back to sleep. DS2 reckons he must have turned his alarm off. We did however just make it on time for DGD4 to meet her friends. 18 minutes from bed to car is definitely a record for me. Not sure much washing or teeth cleaning happened but they did manage to grab some breakfast. I always get the school stuff ready the night before so bags ready to grab. I came back home for a welcome cup of tea and a bacon sandwich.
Dealt with some frogs yesterday but today's plan is to finish yesterday's plan off then sort presents and lists and beds and bedding. I hope to have a definitive list to complete shopping tomorrow. Whilst looking for a space to put drinks I identified a number of items that could leave so they went to bin or CS bag.
1812 Decanter to CS bag
1813-1814 Two vases - one to CS and one to bin
1815-1816 Two bags to CS shop
1817 Plastics to SM
1818-1819 Appointments made for blood tests and shingles jab
1820 GP frog done for DS2
1821 Christmas meat order paid for

I got out my trampoline yesterday and the doorbell rang and it was my new treadmill being delivered a day early. My cats seem to think it is a new bed for them!
I am going out in a minute to drop off a bag for donation. So far it is this stuff, but I am going to check again. I did throw away a leaky water bottle with the rubbish and recycling yesterday. I do like that watch, but I haven't ever worn it as I use my Fitbit or my phone instead.

Love the kitties Wednesday!
Mrs SD, we're going to Michigan, not far from Lake Erie. Mr Puppy's friend is getting married, and it'll be their first time meeting in person - hopefully it goes well!
Also have finally decluttered my 'trainee' title! Been a long time coming but I am officially qualified 🥳🥳15
