Don't worry,Daisy I am not filling my daughter in laws house with stuff, I know she doesn't like clutter, neither do I.It's some Christmas bath toys, a lamaze Father Christmas and a Christmas jumper and hat that I have knitted. I have already told her to take the Peter rabbit set to the charity shop if she doesn't want it,but she does.
Some one asking for old duvets tonight on fb for dog beds.. Yesss there are several at Mum's. Mr V though is balking at emptying Mum's house as my brother has done nothing.
Off for a swim round Bury market tomorrow.

@stellata glad things are getting back to more normal times but do take it easy.
I'm firmly in the tlc carriage with minor treatment meaning can't lift stuff etc.dd1 back to do dishwasher and empty bins for me- feels so strange have her do things for me and coming round in a few days.
Did help her arrange online stuff for uni, ordered dd2 some books, she got her tooth mended and not as expensive as she had feared.
I've ordered statements to help with tax form and trying to reduce files in between resting snf netflix.i have so much stationery, decided I will pass on yellow lever arch files - means 3 new and 3 slightly used ones will go to bank of things, 4 wastepaper bins of paper recycled. Email request about pension figures if I take early so.mobing things on slowly..
Dd1 said if cousin coming to help I need to warn her how bad the house is. Explained cousin has seen photos but want to get most out of help hence sorting some folders which I can do..

Take care all x15 -
Not as busy as I can be - there is no room in this house to do a lot until I get a roommate (Di) to move about 25 boxes of books. We are trying to figure out how to get them into her room. May have our neighborhood handyman come and build some bookcases on one wall. There are smaller bookcases on two walls but not enough. We are book lovers here - everyone has a large supply of books.
Been trying to follow the three major things a day, plus whatever you regularly do each day. So today it was go to the library and sort 5 carts so they are ready to go for our book sale Friday. Spent a few hours there. Then to the auto repair place. It is attached to a Walmart - so the repairman went into the store with me and picked out the windshield wiper and the power steering fluid I needed. And then he installed everything for free so just the cost of the items. I think I am getting this "little old lady who needs help" thing going pretty well now. Everyone stops and asks me if I need help when I am shopping or putting things in my car. Being under 5' tall and in my mid-seventies and usually in a handicapped space, I fit the stereotype pretty well now. My third thing to do was make an appointment for early December with my doctor. Done that. Now I just have the regular activities which tonight is going to the FamilySearch Center for several hours and helping people with the family history. Been doing it for over 60 years.
Rain is supposed to start here at 11:30 in the morning and last for 4 plus days. Hope all of you are starting warm and dry.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good afternoon from a very wet, dark Isle of Dogs 🌧️ The beanie is complete 🥳 see photo
Bearing in mind I used DK rather than Aran, I think it came out rather well 🤞Thanks again for the pattern, plumduff55 👏 I will check my yarn supply to see if I have something more suitable * 😉 I have 3 very full CS bags (staring at me balefully) which I really must deliver asap. DH is braving the rain to make sure the worms aren’t drowning 😬 & to fill the bird feeders.* Success, I found a thicker yarn & I have decided to use straight knitting needles as well 😉 Dinner was lo beef sliced & warmed through in the gravy that DH made from scratch, mash & green beans. 2303 - 2304 Kitchen recycling, drinks - recycled
2305 - 2306 Kitchen detritus, a pair of Sunday socks from DH - binned
Falling further behind with the cheerleading so will try harder tomorrow 😉

Wow @Mrs_Salad_Dodger , that’s a lovely looking beanie. Looks like something straight from the shops! I’m always in awe of people that can knit. My mum tried to teach me as a child, but I always ended up with lots of dropped stitches and holes everywhere!I’m still lurking around in the TLC carriage as work went crazy and then I suddenly had an interview for a job (waiting to hear back), so not been doing anything for the last week. Work should calm down again soon, then I’ll be back getting everything sorted before the end of the year.2025 decluttering: 1,999🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🏅🌟🏅💐

Morning all. I have been awol at DD's for a few days. She stayed on in Europe after a business meeting for the weekend and dSIL went out to join her. I went to 'baby sit' DGD1 who is 16 although what I actually did was provide chauffeur service to and from horse yard. I managed to go and have a meal with DGD1 who is at Uni about an hour's drive away. I bought a few things back as usual but this included a really nice bed for DGS4 with storage under. Getting it apart and in the car was a bit of a 'Right said Fred' moment but we managed and I could still see in both wing mirrors safely for the drive home yesterday. Had a nice lunch out at local cafe with DD before I left. DS2 has been doing some cleaning and tidying and intends to paint my room next. Put washing away which I had left out on driers. Need to pop out this morning and then I signed up for some online history thing this afternoon. DS2 had cut up rest of wood from tree and in pile on drive - if no-one wants it I can take to tip before I finally get my car cleaned. It now smells of horse as well as wet leaves.
1678 PJs to CS bag
1679 Banking updated
1680 Shredding done
1681 Last of November cards posted and December ones written
1682 Packed and unpacked and put away from trip
1683 75% of Christmas cards written - lots need letters/messages inside. Ran out of cards.
1684-85 jeans and coat from DD's to CS
1686 Toy in CS bag
1687-88 Two more jigsaws to CS
1689 Nice (expensive) brown leather boots to CS bag - I get a blister every time I wear them so time to go. I have black ones which I wear
1690 DS2 had cleaned the floors and kitchen window (which is awkward to reach)
1691 Tree wood sawn up
1692 Last two Booster seats for sale - the end of an era but DGS4 is too big for one now
Frog to do tonight but it may get DS2 some money owed. Today's walk cancelled. Hoping to get bed assembled and do some shopping later.

I'm listening to my old cassette tapes when at home. I've thrown out about 60 now, and have about 30 to go. I thought the problem might have been the deck, but 3 tapes are still good to listen to, so it really is the cassettes!

Selected some items of the fantasy me clothes (I've still not got back into) for a friend who is winning with body changes for her to have. She is having some financial difficulties at this time too so its a win win for both of us.
4 large black bin bags of Tapes and recordable video tapes separated from paper covers and the empty storage units/boxes that they were all stored in binned from parents house. More floor space.
Need to remove the wood from the cellar and work on other bits to get out. I am now putting together lists and that help to allow me to get rid of the stuff quickly from my car.

oh my word weenancyinAmerica, 25 boxes of books doesn't sound like something that could be easily fitted into a bedroom? If your roommates are ever going to have their own property i can see the need to store every single one of their belongings but if they are always going to be with you could there be a conversation about how much stuff they can each have? Surely it would be nicer for their mh to have pleasant rooms not rooms crammed with excess?
Just a thought, but you know you own situation and square footage best so disregard if its an issue you've already agreed between you all
