I think you're right vulpix. I've only met Mr and Mrs sd and can vouch that they are LOVELY and I bet we'd all get on like the proverbial burning building if we took over a hotel one weekend for a Decluttering Campaign International Summit AGM. Cars and coaches from all corners of mainland Britain, planes coming in from France, Belgium and California. Plus any lurkers or folk I've missed who may be on ferries from Ireland and any other islands scattered around? The noise levels from all the chatting, maybe it should be an outdoor event 🤔

I have moved my handbags from the third wardrobe in our bedroom to the storage cupboard in the landing. I freed up some space so now my husband's coats and jackets can fit in the third wardrobe. That is more fair as we can now share it.
I have 14 handbags which seems like quite a lot. Now they are more on display in the top shelf I can see if there are some I don't wear.
I am now tackling the under stairs cupboard and the under sink cupboard with all the cleaning stuff and the kitchen cupboard with all my pet food, flea treatment, dog leads etc...
I haven't actually decluttered anything yet!16 -
I like the sound of a meet up and also think that we would all generally get along.
I've managed to declutter 2 loads of washing done and on the airers drying, plus some housework decluttered.
I still have a way to go before my place is as tidy and decluttered as I'd like it, but it's a work in progress.Decluttering campaign 2023

My 365th thing has been decluttered *bows* - unfortunately as I just bought a freezer and ice cube trays and 'tupperwares' for storing stuff in it I'm now up to 113 things in.
That said, three times as many things out as in feels like a win - slow but steady. There's still plenty that could go without being missed (a pair of shears that must have been given to me for the allotment I gave up 10 years ago, socks that don't fit, records that I definitely never bought and don't even know if they play properly) but they're squirrelled away, mostly, where they're not an immediate problem, and if I do the same next year I'll be in a better place again and can eventually drop down to one in one out and hopefully keep it there.

Gosh. It has been ages since I have popped by. Lots obviously going on here but I will just dive in. No time to read the 500+posts at the moment (or ever probably)
Life has been somewhat chaotic of late. I have moved DS2 into a flat then the next day he lost his job, He got another job but then with flooding losing his phone he hasn't worked for two weeks.
We had a visit from DDs boyfriend from Canada. It was great to see him and he was around for DD when she found that she might be being made redundant. Anyway. It has come to pass so I had to clear out my craft room AKA hoarded room into my bedroom and the bin for her to move home. Put in her bed and drawers from the garage, got a new matress and moved her in. This involved two trips up to Manchester: one to move stuff and the second to clean. She got her deposit back with a lovely thankyou. She is taking advantage of the time off to visit her boyfriend in Canada over Christmas as her field of work is saturated with redundancies at themoment
In other news I also cleared all my stuff out of DS1.s bedroom. He is definitely not going anywhere so I have finally accepted this.
As you can imagine. The hoard has taking over the upstairs somewhat. DD stuff is all away and sorted though.
As a result of all this a mahoosive sort out has been triggered. DD is on board to help
Sooo in the last few weeks: Large items x3 sold ( An Ikya high chair I wombled. Two large pieces of plyboard and a set of 5 drawers on wheels .) plus an ikya metal day bed left out for the metal wombles.
2 x in and out bags sent off to the CS plus a further 3 bags of my and DD stuff also to the CS and abag of books to the charity shelves at the local garden centre.
Today I started on the said hoard. I am working though DVDs and CDs first. I am finding my attachment isn't what it once was. I am using various sites to scan and value them dividing them up between vvarious sites for the best price. Out f a hundred plus items so far I have kept 5 to sell. There is a lot more to go so I am just stacking them for now. Looks like a visit to the garden centre again soon.
DD and are loading up the selling sites with stuff to sell. I feel quite excited.
I have been lucky enough to pop into see @vulpix a few times and appreciate her lovely comments. 1 large bag of recycled plastic out today. No more lemonade bottles being stored for a while. They have all been cut up and made into christmas ornaments so the remains have gone along with leftover newspaper from the papier mache! 2 bags for life from leaky shed, sorted and the majoriy of crafty bits that have been ruined bunged in black bin. Sadly if they are no good to me they are no good to anyone else! 😒 So thays 2 more big bags for me. The house is an absolute mess. It always gets like this at this time of year. But lots of christmas makes will be leaving the house in 2 weeks time when we celebrate christmas with our son before he goes off to row the Atlantic!!!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hello lovely declutterati! Mega busy at work last week and the week before…and the week before that…bit of a theme here! Hopefully the end is in sight 😊
Managed to attend my cadets Remembrance parade today - wasn’t sure if I would as I had my jab Friday and that usually knocks me out all weekend. Very proud of them, they did well 😊
hospital face to face visit tomorrow to see my NET team and have updates etc. oh and more blood taken as the local hospital messed up the one test they really needed…..
The charity snowflakes are done!!!!! All ready with some blurb for Wednesday which is when I am next in the office. As I am all snowflaked out hubby has his kitchen work tops back and I will be doing bits of decluttering now. First up is underwear…..if a pair of knickers or bra really doesn’t fit or feel comfortable it gets binned rather than washed and put back in the drawer ready to strangle my body again.
and I’ll be planning Christmas stuff as well.
have a good week people xx⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Wow,kudos to your son soontobeoap. What an outstanding challenge to set himself. Wishing him the very best of luck.
Been to Mother's,took her 3 boxes of stuff and left with some tablets she wont use and a box of items. I have sorted the contents into various piles for different recipients. Some things have also been through the wash.Only a couple of things binned. This is what takes the time in sorting all Mum's stuff, things like washing it so it is more appealing to a new owner. I am going back tomorrow to get a lloyd loom wash basket and a couple of small coffee tables that my Grandad made. My charity shop of choice have said they will take them.I realised today not only has my Mum kept all her things, all her parents things and some of her Grandparents things but also the things of my Grandad's second wife who had no family of her own. I have only managed to clear the big bedroom. I have been chipping away at the bedroom that used to be mine for weeks, It is actually quite depressing to have to deal with it all. I do want to clear a room at a time. When I did MIL's house earlier this year,my step daughter "helped" by emptying every cupboard and drawer in the house onto the floor! Believe me a massive mess isn't a help. I have yet to empty a built in wardrobe and under the bed in this room. There are also 2 dolls houses to do something with. My Mum spent hours making them from scratch. Just stuff everywhere !
I have added a couple more of my things to the charity bag, two Christmas candle votives. I must go through my Christmas decorations soon so they have a chance of selling at the charity shop. Possibly next week as Mr V is working every morning next week as cover. He doesn't do bad for a person who is retired. Don't think he got the memo,he is at work now.

Today after the service, the church council and Sunday school leaders (that’s 7 people
) cobbled the Christmas service together. The children are doing a musical ‘Father Panov’, based on the French/Russian fairy tale.
We have someone coming tomorrow for advice on solar panels and premiums concerning roof work, electricity, and insulation. By my calculation the solar panels aren’t worth it for us, but I would like more info on the premiums.
I did dd2’s hair, while we watched The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This weekend was forecast to be not-raining and a bit windy, so I did 3 loads of laundry. But it wasn’t dry…. It was drizzly, but so softly that I couldn’t hear it on the kitchen roof. And then my dryer stopped working properly (it says every 2 minutes that the water reservoir is full), so I spent about an hour in the garage on a chair with a book next to the dryer, pressing the Play button every 2 minutes :0 . At least the jeans were more or less dry, the rest of the laundry will take turns on the rack over the stairs.
I fixed the pair of trousers that dd1 bought a size too large; she claims she needs it for the length, but I’m not convinced.
I deepcleaned the bath, the loo sink and both toilets. I finished a bottle of bleach that was given to me part-empty when our old neighbours moved 10 years ago!
We walked in the St. Martin’s procession with lanterns the children make at nursery and primary school and a bonfire at the end, with a stand selling drinks, a stand handing out free white buns in a cockerel shape and an area for singing children’s songs with the local traditional band.
I kept saying no to continuous requests for dinner at McD’s and IKEA’s, and for móre money to spend at the local fair. Dds both got €5 from me, dd2 decided to spend €15 pocket money. It’s tiny, just 3 stands, a merry go round for children up to 8, and a penny arcade thing.
Called with Mum: the upstairs leakage seems to have been solved, after 3 plumbers claimed they had fixed it and then Mum heard dripping again. Now it’s just the insurance paperwork and the cleanup. Mum’s insurance company is very helpful, where they don’t have to be. She has had offers of help from the young neighbours, even to just sit in on phone calls to make sure Mum has understood everything correctly. Mum is very good at creating a reliable social network around her.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5916 -
Evening all, another flying visit. DSis dropped a bag off to the CS yesterday before we headed out for a day out. The weather was glorious.I’ve had a hulk out this week and have 2 bags of stuff ready for the CS. Some of it is work wear/suits I’ll not wear again but will definitely help someone else out for interviews etc. I’ll drop those off this weekend hopefully (although I am due to be sawing and hammering metal all weekend and will hopefully come home with some wearable silver jewellery at the end of it)✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
