Sunday was a damp misty day during which I did nothing apart from finish watching Hamish MacBeth - i won’t be watching it again 😉 Now moved my attentions to a series set in Wales - Hinterland, which I have never seen before. The first episode was rather depressing but cleverly done 🤔 Cottage pie for dinner. Wudupa.
2296 - 2297 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
2298 Kitchen detritus binned
vulpix, it appears it is now Diwali hence the fireworks 😔 which started about 18:00 on Sunday & continued intermittently over the next few hours 😔 What a lovely compliment to all our fellow declutterati ☺️ More great decluttering 👏 & good luck with the continuing decluttering for your mum 🍀 We probably have 10 Bags for Life & fortunately have got into the habit of using them 😉 I am intrigued by the ‘special ones’ that MrV is not allowed to use 🧐
daisy_1571, MrSD & I thoroughly enjoyed our visit 😊 Love the idea of us all meeting up 😊 I am thinking posh hotel with spa facilities, smallish conference rooms & large grounds with several marquees 😉 Not sure a weekend would be long enough 😂
Wednesday2000, very generous of you to share the third wardrobe with your husband 😉😊 14 handbags 🤔 let’s see - 5 varying sizes for everyday use, 5 for specific functions/outfits & 4 spare 🙂 - sounds about right 😊 Good luck with decluttering & consolidating the contents of the under-stairs & under-sink cupboards 🍀
Pennypincin, I think a meet up would be rather fun 😊 Well done on decluttering both laundry & housework 👏 “A work in progress” is probably a very apt description for most of us 😉
Excellent decluttering diminua 👏 Well done on reaching 365 items out - I have been remiss in awarding gold stars 🙊 So THREE Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ are on their way - 92, 273, 365 (I did remember the 183 one 😉)
Just seen the time so I am off to bed & will catch up on the cheerleading later today 🙂 Sleep well everyone 😴

Daisy xxxI have been decluttering cobwebs again this morning as I seem to be afflicted with very hard working spiders! Whole house is hopefully free of cobwebs for now.14 -
Yesterday was such a quiet day I think I missed it. Spent it doing family history so I guess it didn't register what day it was. This morning I thought it was Sunday until roommate G reminded me he had his dental appointment and they were coming to pick him up later. Then got into gear and did my laundry while G made us breakfast composed of scrambled eggs and cheese in a roll. It was very good. Did the normal computer stuff - still keeping my emails at 5 unread, nothing in spam file. Checked for Facebook pictures of nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews - added them to my Word file. Found out a member of our Library Board had passed away - aged 97. Last year we lost one at 103 and one at 87 (but he was killed in a car crash and might have made it longer). We did lose one at 67 and we still don't know what happened. She just went to bed and didn't wake up. We haven't heard the results of the autopsy yet. Our 4 main officers are 86, 80, 76, and 65. Join your library board for a long life. We will be attending the funeral next Saturday and will go to my sister's house on Sunday to put up Christmas trees - hopefully the rain will stop by then (expected to last at least from Tuesday night to Saturday). Got confirmation that we can spread out into the entire basement Friday for our book sale - this way we will be able to have carts out that won't fit normally. Spent a couple of hours working at the library, went to the bank and got money to pay cash for the gas as it saves money. Got the gas without any difficulty. Then to pick up my prescriptions and did some grocery shopping as the coupons were expiring today. If I get snowed in (highly unlikely), I'm all set -especially with peanut butter and jam. Then home as my roommate J needed my car to go get a battery for his car. All taken care of. Should be a noisy evening at home as roommate Di will be yelling on her team. Will be working on family history again - I am up to 8,200 contributions so far this year. Trying to make at least 10,000 by the end of the year. This involves tying people to the actual church records and overcoming misdone indexes that spell names wrong, think that late husbands were the father instead, and listing places as last names. In one case, they listed his father as his mother because they didn't know anything about how names are done. Warning for anyone using FamilySearch - they have not realized that Jean and Johan are the same name just in French or German - really makes a mess with the records in Switzerland where neighboring parishes use different languages. Have to do each person in both languages to make sure I have gotten everything. I have 10,790 people in my file for the parish and related families so not likely to run out of people to work on. My ultimate goal is to have sources attached for all of them. We also took out the weekly trash and fed the dog. I just wish I knew more things that she would eat. Anyone else feeding a picky husky?
Stay safe in the stormy weather.14 -

Monday has been another damp grey day with what I will call a ‘stiff breeze’ 😉 Nothing done again apart from prepping vegetables for tonight’s dinner & selecting a few balls of wall to knit beanies. I need to locate the pattern 😉 DH has made another soup from bits & bobs. Watched more episodes of Hinterland
Dinner was roast beef, roast potatoes, parsnips & carrots, mashed swede, cabbage & hm gravy 😋 DH did the wudupa of pots & pans + wu crockery & cutlery 👏 which I dupa. I have finished knitting my first beanie using the pattern that plumduff55 gave me 👏 I will sew it up tomorrow & post a photo.

Phew, wee nancy, you achieve so much. It must be true what they say, if you want anything done, ask a busy person.
Went to Mum's yesterday and emptied a built in wardrobe. Christmas decorations, boxes of fabric and masses of bedding. All that remains in there is an oak corner cabinet that apparently my brother wants.Took some small items of furniture to the charity shop, along with a box of bric a brac, mostly my Mum's stuff. There are about 10 wool blankets, I will keep a couple as throws and have already found a home for the rest.( I have decided to ditch the half made sashiko throw. I am not enjoying making it so it can go in fabric recycling. )We also went to the tip with a load of sofa cushions from a sofa that went to the tip 10 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not be dismantling the bed in this room nor man handling it downstairs. That can be a job for my brother. Hahahahahahahahaha. Oooo my jokes are hilarious. What I will do is empty everything and just leave the bed and his corner cupboard. A few more weeks and this might be another room done. I like to think it could be done by Christmas. That would leave one more stuffed to the gills bedroom and then the whole of downstairs.
I am pleased that my ins and outs as bit by bit calls them are on the move. A large bag to take to craft club today of makes for the Christmas fair. This has used some of my craft stash. There is also a large bag of stuff for DGS which will go next week when we visit. My stepson brought a boxed Peter Rabbit breakfast set that was his as a baby for DGS which I thought was very nice of him. There may be some Christmas baby outfits and toys that I have bought too. I am very conscious that DIL doesn't like too much stuff. I have been very restrained as I just want to shower the little fella with gifts.
out reindeer antler headband
metal light shade
2 Christmas candle holders
5 shopping bags

Vulpix, no point emptying one house whilst stuffing another full of baby stuff. Maybe every time you see something you want to buy for new baby put that money aside. Over time that will be a significant amount that can either go into their own bank account or you could hold it as premium bonds or put into one of these accounts that go to them at 18 (but remember that way it is genuinely their money and they can spend it however they wish) or you can buy something larger when they need it.
Was it you that had the dolls houses? I just watched a find it, fix it, flog it we had taped and simon did up a dolls house, just homemade but the expert said it was still worth a couple hundred.

I'm back on the decluttering now as have been signed off by hospital except for checkups every few weeks now. It's a big relief after all the waiting and the surgery, but it's all gone well so I'm looking forward to more normal times now.Magnolia Stellata17

I am not sure what vupix will do when she hasn't got a house to empty
Last night we put some bags of boys clothes in the loft for GS4.. They have been hanging around for ages and won't be needed fo a few years. They are not mine but DS3s and arrived when I cleared out their flat.
Another bag has gone out of online sales and all profits are now being transferred to my world travel fund. Should have gone off a few years ago but husband wasn't ready to retire so funds have bedn diverted. Its a good meaning ful target for me.
I have been piling though all the boxes and bags of books, DVDs and CD I have a quick system of scanning into various online sites. I have picked up a few that I will sell myself. I separating out the ones not being sold this way into a job lot for car booters on GMtree but if they don't go then will be donated.
Also got several bags to drop off at the garden centre tomorrow.
I have childcare tomorrow so this is the only thing that will be done but that is ok.
