Friday was another dull grey day 😞 I was up a bit later today 09:30. Finished watching Series 7 of Shetland - I had forgotten the ending 😔 so whilst a bit sad I was relieved for Jimmy 😉 Started on Hamish MacBeth - not sure about it yet 🤔 DH filled the bird feeders …… again. DSis went out shopping. The MrS in Lewisham was a pain 😖 She decided to use the self scan but had to wait 20 minutes, then scanned her goods but was unable to pay as her card wasn’t accepted. Staff again worse than useless suggesting she wait for another till & scan again. Needless to say she was not best pleased so left the shopping & walked out 😖 Just hope she wasn’t charged (even if the machine said her card hadn’t worked 🤞) as she will be apoplectic 🙏 Dinner was shop bought (from MnS ) lasagne & garlic bread. Wudupa.

TC77 said:Really interested in the brow dying as mine have become sparse and are greying. Been too wary of looking v dyed especially as not a lovely arch shape. Dd1 said to ask for brown dye but wary, what haopens where sparse ?Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.17

One more tip for brow dyeing: I use Apraise professional eyelash and eyebrow tint, colour Dark Brown 3 (which leads me to believe they come in a multitude of tints), and Aparaise 3% Cream Developer. It says in the instructions that the colour will intensify if left on longer.
I do it after a shower - because the brows need to be grease free - and put a little vaseline around the brows to prevent spillage catching on to skin, and have cotton wool pads and earbuds ready for removing accidents or wobbly lines.
I don't do my lashes, I'm too scared to get the stuff in my eyes and that hurts! And probably isn't very good for your eyes, either.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5914 -
Good Morning ! It's nice one here so hope to get out for a walk later ☀️
Stepped on Scales - Unsurprisingly stuffing myself with carbs and barely moving for weeks has had an impact - 2 1/2 lb gain. Not going to beat myself up - just need to get back to my old routines pronto! (thanks for encouragement Mrs SD).
Got my roofing quote - it was quite a bit more than the ball-park given but I'm going with it - its not something I can keep putting off.
Got someone to look at my radiators for a quote for replacements which he'll send on Monday. Apparently he also does bathrooms so if the worse comes to the worse and my current guy doesn't feel up to continuing - I've got a back-up - which is a big relief.

Hi, Plenty to catch up on and it's only been a few days. I haven't been feeling great so I think I need to try to get another appointment with my GP.
Bit by bit visited and took a chest of drawers with her and some stuff for charity, some already counted and some my Mum's. We thrashed out lots of plans for the festive period which will be lovely. I am Mrs Christmas. I am enjoying introducing BBB and her family to lovely events where I live.
I have enjoyed myself this morning (Mr V works Weekend mornings) writing a Christmas meal plan and shopping list. We have booked an air B n B on DS's road. It will be us,DD1,BF and DD2. Festivities start Vulpix Eve on the 27th where we will have a Christmas jumper party with DIL's Mum,Dad,Brother and wife and dog invited. Vulpix day, full Christmas fayre and go home the next day. I have got my party mojo back after losing it for a few years. We do a secret Santa and I have got DD1 which is super easy for me.
Today is the collecting the new car day. Whilst looking for the registration documents etc I took the time to put all the un filed letters at the front of the file box away. I emptied a professional development file of mine. Certificates in the recycling and I will re home the folder. A large pile of paper work to recycling.I found some photos and some birthday cards I had bought. This led onto sorting out my bedside drawers. All my photos in a small box. Only perhaps 100. All Birthday cards put together in the gift wrap drawer in my chest of drawers. I have all cards for up coming birthdays till next August. I have several cards that I won't possibly use, inherited from MIL. I will wait a little while before I donate them.
I am knitting a Christmas jumper for the baby. In my head it is candy canes. In reality it's more Where's Wally. Hahaha.

I use microfibre towels as they dry easily and I just bought two new pink towels from Amazon recently. I just changed the pillowcases on our bed to clean ones and found three microfibre towels still in their packaging in the airing cupboard. I don't remember buying them!
I was just saying on another forum that I am generally neat and tidy, but I do have a bad habit of buying multiples just in case. I think it is down to the pandemic and running out of certain things. Loo roll and cat litter spring to mind. I also tend to keep the extras in places I don't look in that often.
I think I will cut up my oldest towel as cleaning rags and maybe move things like extra hand wash and cleaning products around to somewhere more prominent as they seem to be breeding behind my back.

Saturday I was up really late about 13:00 having had about 7 hours sleep 🙊 a bright sunny day but it gets dark so early now 😔 None of the 3 of us did anything much today apart from watch TV or play games on PC. Dinner was bolognaise sauce with rigatoni pasta 😋Wudupa.

I have enjoyed the conversation between wort, TC77, Siebrie & Wednesday2000 about eyebrow dyeing 🙂
EnergyShifter, I hope the weather stayed fine enough for you to go out for a walk 🤞 You must have been pleasantly surprised that it was only 2.5 lbs 😊 I can gain that in a couple of days rather than a few weeks 😉 Sorry to hear that the roofing quote was higher than anticipated but better sooner than later before any more damage is done 😔 Fingers crossed that the quote for new radiators is reasonable 🤞
vulpix, sorry to hear that you haven’t been feeling so great 😔 Hopefully you can get an appointment with the doctor in the next couple of days 🤞So happy to hear that you & bit_by_bit have become such firm friends 😊 Not only helping each other out with decluttering but also socialising ☺️ Sounds like you have got Christmas festivities all sorted 🤩 Excellent tidying & decluttering of paperwork/cards/photos 👏 Enjoy the new car - hopefully you did find the registration documents 😉
Wednesday2000, your mention of microfibre cloths has reminded me that I need to sort out the cleaning materials in the kitchen under sink cupboard 😔 I do understand the stockpiling issue - I had bits & pieces hidden everywhere 😉 Although I think I have finally managed to put like with like in fewer places 😉🤞Good luck finding all your ‘hiding places’ 🍀
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 Hope you enjoy gadding about in London 😊
Really getting fed up with the fireworks now 😖 04:00 & 20:00 Saturday & 02:15 Sunday 😡 It wouldn’t be quite so bad if it didn’t sound like explosions going off 😔 DH is up watching the Malaysian MotoGP Races - first one starts soon & I am off to bed.
Cwtches to all those who need or want them 🤗

Good morning, I agree about fireworks Mrs SD. we had some last night too. It can be very upsetting for animals.Luckily my cats aren't bothered. Which is surprising as Fomo is frightened of his own shadow. Well actually he is frightened by sudden movements of people, a legacy of his past I think.
I am so lucky to have met bit by bit through this thread, we get along so well. We have very similar views on the environment and trying not to waste resources. I am sure if we were all to meet each other from this thread we would all get along too. It is such a supportive thread and a welcoming environment is very ably modelled by you Mrs SD. Thank you.
Mr V found the metal ceiling shade from the old kitchen in the shed We have down lights now. It has been washed and a new charity shop bag started.
In putting stuff back in the car,I sorted our bag for life collection. Not quite the national collection but close. With this many bags for life we will obviously have eternal life. 5 for re use in new homes. I do have best bags that Mr V is not allowed to use! Special ones bought on holiday etc. I do use them when I take things to craft club then squirrel them away.
I am putting off an hour at my Mother's house then a trip to see her with boxes of stuff for her to sort. Then take away last times stuff and distribute it where required. Better get on with it/
