Hi all. A bit better today, managed to put +1 hair clip for recycling, and +1 for euros converted back to pounds. Barely any cash back, but if I found £7 on the ground I wouldn't just walk on by so it's all goodMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

@weenancyinAmerica
I annoyed security in 2 countries on my recent trip to Canada by pointing out they might as well stick me right into the xray machine given my knee sets off the detectors. I must learn to shut up.
and fyi - no leaves were decluttered and now they are too soggy to move....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Mrs SD and others thank you for all the encouragement. Stayed in tonight ( although going soon to my distress swim) hoovered stairs and hall, lifting up runner and tried new runner which won't do so will be returned. Cleared 2/3 of table filing things and returning to rightful home or at least with same type of things. Quite alot of paper declutter out , bits in the bin, old notebook out with unused paged in my expanding scrap pile secured by a bulldog clip. Collecting storage boxes, some had one or two things and have been emptied. I do have a room.of doom with big boxes and bubble wrap as have things to bring back from my dads. Gave dd1 some extra glasses.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
14:50 - just received a call from DH - success 🥳 Although it looks like he will be driving home in the rain 😔 Fortunately DH managed to avoid the rain 🙂 All shopping packed away - I now have a full fridge in the kitchen & the garage fridge now has 8 more cartons of DSis’s milk 🥳 I spent the rest of the day watching SW & knitting in-between nodding off 😉 Dinner was pork steaks, mash & cabbage. Wudupa.
2216 - 2219 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, drinks cans - recycled
2220 Kitchen detritus binned
Oh weenancy - I just want to give you some huge cwtches 🤗 So sorry to hear that you have further health issues 😔 Fingers crossed that the referrals come through quickly & that both issues can be sorted with minimum discomfort & upheaval 🤞Pleased to hear that you weren’t carted away for setting off the metal detector 😂 Another busy day on Thursday 👏 I imagine being stuck in traffic in the sunshine was more preferable than being rained on 😉 Sounds like the weather people must be grateful that they have been able to forecast the weather correctly on two days 🤣 Hope the blood tests went well & the results don’t throw up any other health issues 🤞
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, belated birthday greetings 🎂💐 Hope you had a lovely time 😊 Great decluttering especially disposing of so much shredding 👏 Enjoy your family visit & hopefully the traffic on the motorway will be light 🤞
TC77, your DDs are both doing really well coping with their difficulties - a real testament to your skills as a mum 😊 Good luck with the reorganisation 🍀
Siebrie your comment “……. You are very clever! I can't do a French plait! There's a reason I've outsourced hair care for 10 years! It's only now that dds are older and can voice their complaints politely that I've dared take it on. They want a Beyonce look, I'm trying to avoid the 'brushed poodle' look; twists are our saviour” made me laugh out loud 🤣
flamingo747, pleased to hear that you were feeling a bit better on Friday 😊 As you say, you wouldn’t leave £7 lying on the ground 😉
Brie, I hope you didn’t annoy security too much ……… they are not particularly well known for their sense of humour 😥 The good thing about wet leaves is that they make a perfect mulch 🙂
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Don’t forget to update your numbers 😉 The last note I have is 1710 on p740 🙂 Loving your storage boxes/crates 🙂 & I do like the look of those shoes 😉
Lovely post Floss 😊
All caught up 🥳

Muddy_Walker said:Energyshifter it’s the little things that keep us going! When I’m making resin snowflakes I used to religiously clean the pot with acetone…..now I let the dregs dry and see if I can peel them out in one piece 🤣🤣🤣
By the way - dehumidifier worked brilliantly for clothes drying - Even DS' jeans and thick tracksuit bottoms were dry by the end of the day! 🤩 (& there was a very satisfying amount of water collected by the end of it) ..

Back from holiday and everything has been unpacked, put away, the washing done and is hung up still drying. Wasn’t a particularly relaxing holiday with relationship with DH not great, work stuff a total nightmare and expenses still going up left, right and centre (mortgage goes up on Feb next year). I am not sleeping properly and spend lots of the night awake worrying about things and can only sleep once I am so exhausted I can’t help but sleep. On the plus side we did take some frozen food with us on holiday to use things up. Freezer needs to be defrosted before the end of November, so going to be very focused on using everything I can up in there and then ramming as much as I can in the tiny kitchen freezer so we can defrost the big garage one. I also found a few Xmas presents whilst we were away that I bought and saves me ordering online and I supported some independent shops. I also treated myself to some lovely soft wool socks to wear in the house as I get really cold feet and a pair of fingerless gloves to stop my hands splitting in the cold. Usually the gloves all break in the thumb/fingers, so I am hoping these will last a bit longer! Before we left for holiday I also re-started sorting out the big list of digital stuff. Mainly going back to getting number of emails down and deleting any online accounts I don’t need anymore. I’m also trialling different cloud storage before my subscription renews in December so I can decide if I need to switch. I’ve put some files in there, but need to play around with it to conclude whether it meets all my requirements.
Digital:

33,734-33,740 - freezer overstock used up
33,741 - paperwork, recycled

I remember security at Detroit when we took late DM and MIL to US for Mum's 90th birthday. They insisted Mum stand up in her stockinged feet on a slippery floor out of her wheel chair. It made no security sense at all and she struggled to stand unaided without her shoes on. General speaking Detroit seems to be one of the worst places. Last trip we landed in Washington and they were so pleasant I was taken by surprise. Only benefit of having dehumidifiers last winter following my major leak was that the washing dried quickly.
Bedroom 4 decorating almost done. Money decluttered for curtains, paint, bed covers, electrical changes etc. House in total chaos but I guess it will be sorted soon.

Today pulled out all furniture in kitchen and dining room, and swept, dusted and mopped including fireplace, (very murky water afterwards), More storage boxes found so need another space as when I added another to fridge they fell on me opening the fridge!
10 leaflets/books in CS bag, small bits to a craft bag I'm putting together, and sheet and sock to textiles.
Floss, I recall you moved from a big house to a small house via a stay in a very small flat... and have made your home fab with loved items on the wall.
Think it will be 2-3 years before I move so would love to get rid of 50% in the next year, then a little more.
Mrs SD thanks for the reminder to count. I have 1725 noted (think I lost a post) so going for 1750 as also some frogs. Tried to get through to people today but all closed so have nos ready to call. Found a voucher which expired but advised they may renew. Also found phone I ordered online is non EU so samsung won't support. Few emails and company agreed to take back so will do that hopefully tomorrow.Leaves me 273 to get to 2023 but I think I set a target of more but if I get to 2023 will be ok.
Hoping to help DD1 with PIP reconsideration and make a back of the fridge curry!18
