Morning all. Struggling a bit with my MH today, not sure if post holiday blues or just the general weight of my life really. Would love to declutter so much fear and anxiety, but only a lottery win could do that.
Still working on the post-hol declutter of washing, souvenirs away, and getting back to normal. Nice Neighbour's house is on RM already, so feeling the pressure to fix my garden before they get viewings (terraced houses with a lot of overlook!)Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday is another dry bright day but it had rained overnight. A good start to the day as the rather full recycling wheelie bin has been emptied after 3 weeks 🙂 & DH had managed to squeeze in a bag of office recycling 🥳 The day has taken a downhill turn as I have been unable to sign in to the MSE Forum but at least I can view posts 😔 Apparently “Something has gone wrong” - not at all helpful but I suppose it gives me a chance to deal with my mail 😉 I have been trying to sign in since 12:40 when I got up 😔. DH has been quite busy - zizzed a tub of peelings & fed the worms + filled the bird feeders yet again & has ordered flowers for DSis’s birthday next week. Yippee managed to sign in at 14:31 🥳

Wednesday2000, I think the booths do make it quite cosy & the triangular stove does a good job of keeping the pub warm 😊
EnergyShifter, fingers crossed that the bathroom workman is fully recovered & that he turned up this morning 🤞Great cheerleading 😊 The Cittie of Yorke is well worth a visit just for the ambience 😊although if you are a beer or lager drinker you will be a bit disappointed 😉
So excited that MSE OS Forum is back up that I will post immediately 😉😅 Someone presumably put the plug back in 🤣

Thanks for the compliments on the photo: to be honest, I'd suggest if you're planning on going to Venice, plan to go sooner in life while you're mobile rather than saving it till later. Crossing every canal involves bridges with steps, same with the steps on to every boat.
Caught up with sleep on Tuesday, have now done 2 lots of laundry.
3801: finished an Ian Rankin novel and left it at the hotel.
3802-3803: binned a pair of socks and a pair of undies.

Guy doing bathroom was back today - it' going slowly due to walls being in such bad shape. I am just accepting it as there's nothing can be done.
I got a humidifier yesterday and its my new "toy" - I'm absolutely fascinated by how much water its taking out of the atmosphere. I am currently experimenting as to whether it helps with clothes drying as I've been told it does. I know how to enjoy myself.

Taking dd1 her Xmas decorations and couple of bags of clothes tonight and had her uni dsa IT stuff delivered. If anyones or their family is eligible for disabled student allowance do claim. Dd1 left it to her final year (partly why she needs it) and you get so much software and kit. Taking it round as delivered to me as working from home. Tidied a kitchen drawer and shoe cleaning kit ( I remener the days when I cleaned shoes really often) out light tan polish and few other bits, filed some admin and one folder fell apart so refiled in one of my other ones in the sable pile!. V large box ( from.dd1 delivery) in recycle bin for tomorrow. Used up foot and some other paper out. Still a mountain to climb , whoops declutter !

Just thrown the rubber lid and heat protector band of my reusable 'bamboo' cup out as I recently read an article about them - apparently they contain melamine and should not be used for liquids over 70 degrees. I kept the cup as it might make a nice plant pot when I repot my snake plant cutting, but I am quite annoyed that these things are sold for a purpose they're not fit for. Not to mention being sold as bamboo and ecologically friendly.
I'm down to 113 things to go (354 out 102 in) and only 2 months to do it in. Fingers crossed.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining
