@~FlowerPot~ any progress is awesome today, take the little wins
@Florenceem that's a shame about your concert. Yesterday was a beach day too here. I have never seen so many tourists in October!
@dND I find BnM is cheap but my problem is its not so cheap once we buy all the extra things we didn't actually go in for. It's probably my worst overspending place!
I have seen to the fish, brushed the dog, brought a wash load in and am about to put another out, then take down curtains for their bi-yearly wash whilst the drying weather is so good here in North Devon. I have a couple of declutters +1 travel shampoo decanted into another one and bottle recycled. +3 gold plastic eggs JF got at the arcade yesterday put for the CS, usually I'd get caught up holding on to them for Xmas or Easter or some such 'I could use them one day for'. +1 for spent wax from my melter poured out and replaced. The best way I've found for this is to tip into a silicone bun case and let it harden. If it still has any fragrance left, they are good inside underwear drawers or inside shoes in the shoe box to combat any smellsMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

@Moorviews re the contents of the cupboard with cleaning items in it and to help yourself be OK put some of these on a shopping list and check the prices out at todays price. You could save the money it would have cost for 1 item and make you smile too that you are shopping from home in the meantime.
Yesterday needed to go routing in the loft for some paperwork that is likely to be needed for my loss claim. Found other paperwork in the process which could now leave and some very out of date tech info from back in the day. T'was quite a haul of weight to be shredded/recycled. Moved some items floating about to go into a suitcase part loaded ready for next holiday so a bit more tidying up completed. Found a bag with carrier bags in so that is a re-stock to be re used. 3 boxes earmarked for delivery to DS hopefully before Christmas, that will clear a section of shelving.
Had a bit of online banking to do as needed to pay for new glasses so budget moved over to repay myself. Also supporting DS in his new account which is being the plan of only for budgeting and not spending from. He is happy with this as it has a good return on his savings too, fingers crossed this is the change for him and I need to let go too
Have a lovely free drying sunny weekend

Hi all I am in maintenance mode so rarely post but always read along for hints and tips. Does anyone know how to dispose of out of date covid tests?15
-
Sorry, I forgot to quote who said that, but I found it strange that I didn't get any reaction to my flu jab this year as I usually feel exhausted/ill after having it. All I had was a sore arm after. I did go out with someone who caught Covid and I didn't catch it from them, though. I can't remember if that was before or after I had the flu jab.
I am about to declutter our wardrobes and start making up the donation bag. My husband can take it tomorrow as he has a hospital appointment in the morning.

We're continuing, reasonably successfully, to try and get rid of more 'stuff'. We brought down loads of stuff from the loft last weekend (31/1st). Freegled a lot of it during the week, just a couple of items left that it was obvious no one wanted went to the council recycling centre on Friday. Only one small box made it back up through the loft hatch.
Buoyed by what I saw mostly as a win, I emptied two wardrobes in the second bedroom on Friday. This resulted in a smaller hoard to Freegle, but things are going again (two pickups today, another two arranged for during the week). What was being kept was arranged tidily back into, mostly, one wardrobe. Need the OH to go through some clothes stored in one wardrobe.
Some of the stuff that went this week was stored in the spare room, so I can finally see a bit of space emerging in there.
I still remain amazed at what people do, and don't, want when you give stuff away.16 -

Wow, that took over an hour to just do my wardrobe. I dusted the bedroom and emptied the bedside table as that is what I am getting rid of to the second hand shop, hopefully.
My husband has been off work for a month and I went through his work bag and he had left an apple in there, gross! That was binned as well as a diary I bought and never use. It was bookmarked at July so that shows I don't use it.
I got rid of quite a few things from my wardrobe and they are in a donation bag. A vest top, three tops, a shirt, a jumper, two dresses, a scarf, a necklace, a rolling machine (!) and 3 ornaments.
I need to do my husband's wardrobe but I will do that when he finishes painting the decking. I think there might only be one or two jumpers of his to add to the bag.2025 GOALS

Sunday is another bright, sunny day with temperatures set to reach 25C 😊 I was up at 10:30 but not dressed as in order to have dinner ready for a reasonable time tonight I needed to put the brisket in the small oven to slow cook for the next 6.5 hours 😥 Brisket went in at 11:00. Much as we love our dear husbands sometimes it is just nice to have some time on our own 😉 although of course since my DSis moved in that is slightly/rather more difficult 🤣 even though she does spend a lot of time in her room it is still not quite the same as being home alone 😉
Lovely post vulpix 😊 I am just wondering if bleach is still bleach ifykwim 🤔 A busy few days with lots of crafting 👏 Homebodies of the world unite 🥳 Fingers crossed for fine weather & line drying 🤞Love the knitted slippers 😊
Excellent work daisy_1571 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way 🙂 Is that a white lacy skirt that I can see in the middle of the hanging clothing? Beautiful 😻 Just wondering if your cat helped out with the decluttering 😉
Wednesday2000, Friday sounds like a perfect day 😊 Shame the tide was out so you probably didn’t manage a paddle 😉 Fingers crossed that the bulky waste disposal quote is reasonable 🤞 Sorting out your wardrobes sounds like a perfect Sunday activity 👏 DSis & I watched the last Sort Your Life Out as well - my favourite episode of this series 😊 Although we were both rather surprised at the number of dogs 😲
Florenceem, so lovely to pass on your skills to A & at the same time reduce your crafting stash a little 😇 Everything crossed that Ja has managed to sort out the leak 🤞
Muddy_Walker, thank you so much for the definition & pronunciation assistance 👏 Cwtch is my new favourite word now that I fully understand it’s meaning 😊 You couldn’t have been that ‘tamping’ - after all you fed your hubby 😂
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Very pleased to hear that the bank staff were helpful 😊
dND, three months to completion sounds ridiculous given your circumstances 🙄 😣 Like you I am keeping everything crossed that they are overestimating the time scale 🤞🤞 Unless the time scale changes to the end of this month I don’t think anyone will be thinking ‘great job’ 🤣 Here’s hoping that you have no adverse reactions to your flu & Covid jabs 🙏 Perhaps it will be third time lucky for TGTG roast 🍀 If not then cheese on toast should be quite nice 😉
Brie, always uplifting to receive unexpected monies regardless of the amount 😊 Sounds like quite a few people will benefit from the “plastic thingmes” 👏
Now, now Fizz2015 ‘wagging finger emoji’ You got a lot done on Saturday 👏 Fingers crossed that you complete your Sunday task list 🤞
Excellent decluttering & completion of tasks GrannyKate 👏 My awards chest is open 😉 One Gold Star ⭐️⭐️ for each of you & DS2 + a medal 🏅 for your ‘lovely neighbour’ 😊
Fizz2015, DD might have to start going to bed a little later so you don’t have to get up at 06:30 😉 I have always thought that it is such a shame that we stop growing upwards at such a young age 😉 There was a lovely comment on another thread about “gaining 2lbs by looking at a cream cake but NOT losing the same 2lbs by looking at a salad” - it had me in stitches 🤣 Enjoy your time in the allotment & garden 😊 However please remember to slather on the Factor 50 🙏
Good luck with today’s plans flamingo747 🍀 Hope the sunburn isn’t too painful 😣 Please remember to slather on the Factor 50 today 🙏
~FlowerPot~ I am gratified to hear that your new meds are starting to work & that you are venturing out of the TLC Carriage today 😊 However, please, please don’t do too much today 🙏 Excellent decluttering of books 👏
Florenceem, sorry to hear about the disappointing turnout at yesterday’s concert 😔 Presumably, like your grandchildren, everyone was making the most of the good weather 😉
dND, rather than hover around the TLC Carriage, you should pop in & have some tea & cake 😉 Hopefully you managed to not only get all the items on your shopping list but also your TGTG bag as well 🤞 Sounds like a lovely project to keep you occupied whilst you are waiting for your house 😊
flamingo747, lovely comments 😊 I especially like the one addressed to dND 😉 Remember at times like that a list is your friend 😂 You have been busy today 🤩 - excellent decluttering & completion of tasks 👏 I especially like the idea to reuse melted candle wax 👏
My concentration is flagging a bit now but at least I have caught up quite a bit 😉 I will see everyone later 👋

Excellent work @~FlowerPot~
@Wednesday2000 I am shuddering at the apple!
+2 camping chairs, +1 projector screen, +6 ceramic plant pots, +5 plastic plant pots +2 kids toys, +1 camp bed cover all decluttered. Also had a move a -huge- house spider from near back door way down the road into some hedges, ick!
3prs curtains down waiting for a turn in the washing machine that's already running 2nd load of day. Upstairs hall and down the stairs have had walls door skirts washed, so half way through the hated job!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
