Excellent work daisy_1571 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way 🙂 Is that a white lacy skirt that I can see in the middle of the hanging clothing? Beautiful 😻 Just wondering if your cat helped out with the decluttering 😉
Wednesday2000, Friday sounds like a perfect day 😊 Shame the tide was out so you probably didn’t manage a paddle 😉 Fingers crossed that the bulky waste disposal quote is reasonable 🤞 Sorting out your wardrobes sounds like a perfect Sunday activity 👏 DSis & I watched the last Sort Your Life Out as well - my favourite episode of this series 😊 Although we were both rather surprised at the number of dogs 😲
I also enjoyed the episode although tbh they could have done most of that themselves. I think she trained at same place i did but I dont see her on the guild website so I think she just does grooming now rather than canine massage. The wee boy was very sweet.

GrannyKate said:357-1361 Awarding 5 points to share with DS2 who has cut down a tree in front garden from 20 to 8 feet. Twisted willow grown from a twig 20 plus years ago by mil but it had got so large. Late DH cut it down several times to similar height - too expensive to pay someone although I have to get rid of the branches and foliage. First problem was getting chain saw to work but a visit to well know diy store pointed out to us we had chain back to front.

DSis and I decluttered more decorating yesterday. Mist coat, first coat and second coat of paint and primed the skirting in the ‘alcove’ part of the landing and walls and ceiling. The ceiling now looks less cloudy 😂!Also tidied up some edges of walls over the stairs - I looked like I was ice fishing with the paint brush gaffer taped to the roller extension pole!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Love the knitted slippers vulpix
Mainly been working on the big frog but did take two bags in my trolley to donation hub. Think I had counted some but no all things, included bike locks, clothes, jars and added a duvet cover as realise I have so many. Also broken a bowl yesterday. Counting total as 1615.
Love hearing from people in maintance mode although not sure how cluttered you were before.
By taking donations leave space in hall for the next bag but not noticing difference in the house. Those today who've listed no of clothes I'm in awe I dither over anything more than a holey sock !14 -
Hello lovely people, it is a treat for me to pop in and catch up with all your news.TC77, I think I am in maintenance mode. I had a huge amount of stuff but it was all skill fully stored out of sight. The more I have released the easier I have found it to do. What has helped me the most to release family things which are sentimental is finding a charity shop that is sensitive and appreciative of what I give them. The bonus to me is it is an independent charity and they encourage the customers to nominate where they send their profits after they have supported our local community. They sell on eBay too which means I have been able to give them some expensive dresses and antiques. When I realise that an item isn’t of use off it goes. It may as well go to live with someone who wants it rather than decay under my ownership. I have found it liberating not to be the custodian of things which were never my choice, mostly my Grandparents things that my Mother had saved. I am still finding things to go and try to send a box a week to charity.I have tidied the back garden and planted up some spring bulbs. I am back for another ecg tomorrow. I can’t wait to get sorted. I had to keep resting because I was breathless. 😠 I don’t like this getting older game. I will have a go at the front garden tomorrow before the rain comes in.I smashed a coffee container, won’t replace it.Some mugs and a blanket in the donate box.Total 1136

@vulpix "I have found it liberating not to be the custodian of things which were never my choice" this really struck me. I am custodian of some of my grants stuffed toys, which I do have find memories of but don't look at or display. They matter to wider family, but noone wants to look after them just to know they haven't been thrown away!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Evening All, a busy day with lots achieved. 3 hours at allotment before it got too warm. @Mrs_Salad_Dodger we wore sunhat and coated in factor 50. Fair skinned and burn easily. Managed to buy garlic, onion and shallot bulbs in allotment shop, very reasonably priced and saved me a trip to the garden centre. Then home to sort the garden with OH and fill the car for tiprun. Plus gave the Guinea Pigs a run on the patio and not too much squabbling but watched them constantly. We had to separate them so they live side-by-side with a wire divide.
Now for a chilled evening before a busy work week. Will tally up decluttering totals and update later.13 -
MrsSD our sunburn was Mr Flamingos and not mine, so it doesn't hurt a bit

Since life is overwhelming right now, I’m just concentrating on doing one thing a day (no matter how small), so I am always making progress. Yesterday I went through some stuff that was my grandparents and requested a valuation for the things I don’t want. Today DS and I went through a pile of his magazines.
33,503 - freezer overstock used up
33,504-33,505 - cupboard overstock used up
33,506-33,516 - DS magazines/tat recycled
@TC77 I’m also in maintenance mode, although with two very young kids it is a continuous battle to keep the status quo and not let things stack up. Plus life changes a bit more and my tolerance for stuff just seems to decrease more and more whilst I have so little time. However, I started this journey about 8 years ago (pre children) and have had many breaks over the years. I end up doing things in rounds as I always find more the next time through. I’m a bit sad I can’t go through a room or drawer etc and pull out tons of stuff anymore… that would be easily decluttering for me! These days it’s more finding the odd thing here or there and being aware of what I do or don’t use anymore. Generally I’m quite lazy and hate tidying, so unless it is ridiculously easy to put something away I won’t do it. It means anything lying around indicates the areas that need decluttering or reorganising work. On the plus side I buy very little compared to what I used to buy 8+ years ago!

Evening all. Happy belated birthday/anniversary to everyone I've missed over the last 2 weeks.
We've had a horrible cold here (covid checked and negative) so not much has been done.
Pantry got a good tidy before the shopping delivery last week, so some bits from there.
Today DH has took down the shower curtains, a plastic one with a fabric one on the outside, it had gone really green and had mould growing on the fabric one between the 2. It has been replaced by just a plastic one and looks a lot lighter in the bathroom.
Dog1 seems to have deteriorated a lot this week, he started having strokes a year ago. He's stopped going up the steps on to the garden this week and seems to be losing control of his bowels and just looks sad. Lots of cuddles, fusses and dog treats decluttered. They weren't allowed treats due to being overweight but I think it's time for lots of them (he's an almost 13year old lab).
The bug seems to have left the house now so will get back on it tomorrow and try for one huge sweep before we start getting ready for Christmas 🎄
