1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for catching up on the cheerleading yesterday 😔 I had a lovely relaxing bath then spent the rest of the day watching Silent Witness 😔 DH went out about 17:45 to get his flu jab & got back about 18:40 with chicken burgers & chips from the chippie. Wudupa
Thursday is a bright day although DH & I only got up at 13:00. DH had an excuse - he is feeling a bit ropey after his flu jab but I have no excuse 😔 One lovely surprise is that the recycling bin has finally been emptied 🥳
2095 - 2097 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine - recycled
2098 Kitchen detritus binned
weenancy, what a brilliant idea to use 3” by 5” cards for your daily To Do list 👏 Especially as it appears to be working so well 🤩 Sounds like female cat is a bit of a bully - poor husky 😔 So pool cleaned, large items of trash collected & you sorted out out your clothing 👏 You definitely have a vey minimalist wardrobe 🤩 I counted up as 32 + undies & socks. You are saving the planet all on your own 😊 Good luck with your online Excel class 🍀 I think I would probably be stymied too like Di 😉 I hope you are fully recovered as I notice you had another busy afternoon running around after everyone 😔 Please, please take care 🙏 Perhaps you can persuade Di to help with the cleaning between periods 😉 or is that asking too much 🤔
Florenceem, I hope there was someone to help you Monday night 🤞 Such a sad day on Tuesday 😢My thoughts are with the mother. I hope that the sm deliveries were delivered at a reasonable time & that you had some help 🤞 Shame about the new tap 😔 but it will be nice to see DGS J two days in a row 😉
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
TC77, ask me how I know about “slightly dodgy couture decisions” 🤣 another reason I rarely buy clothes 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 The last number I have is 1579, if that helps 🤞
Hi Liverpool_Anne 👋 I was just wondering why the days seem to be passing so quickly - blink once & a day has gone but blink twice & a week has gone by 😱 Good luck with your abseiling adventure 🍀you daredevil you 🦸♀️ Mind you at least you have been getting a lot done 👏 I was relieved to hear that your DSis’s results are back & that both the conditions highlighted will be manageable - a relief for both of you 😮💨 Hugs 🤗 & flowers 💐 coming your way.
wort I agree that the DVLA letter should be returned to sender 🙂
GrannyKate, pleased to hear that your arm is better after your jabs 😊 Great work decluttering & completing tasks 👏 Sounds like you have a busy few days ahead looking after children 😊 perhaps you can get them to help with the decluttering 😂
I have caught up another page 🥳 DH is out tonight - at an ad hoc school reunion so will be heading off at about 16:30. About a dozen or so school friends meeting up at a Thai restaurant in town. Hopefully he won’t get home too drunk 🤞

MrsSD a school reunion sounds like hell to me!
Today I have only decluttered the packaging from the free tampons I saw on MSE. I'm nit being very productive, last nights dishes aren't done. I vary from Hinch to Hovel!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

flamingo747, I am definitely with you on my attitude to school reunions - maybe because I went to an all girls school 😉 DH’s is a boys only reunion & only happens every few years - arranged by one or two of the chaps. Nothing like those American school reunions that you see in the films 😮💨 Hopefully DH will enjoy himself 🤞

Loving Hinch to Hovel. I can do that in a very short amount of time.I am home alone until midnight Sunday. Mr V has gone for a boys trip to the British touring car meet at Brands Hatch. I am waiting for the nice weather to arrive so I can get in my garden . Currently binging Beechgrove garden episodes and making party sprouts as requested for the village Christmas fair. I cannot rest until every house in the district has at least 1 party sprout. 🤣Spoke for 1 1/2 hours on the phone with bit by bit earlier. We haven’t had a catch up since we went to the Shetland Islands together in June. She is visiting us with husband, daughter and her Canadian boyfriend in a couple of weeks. I will do an afternoon tea in his honour. 🤔 I sent a cake stand to the charity shop last week! I will ask my lovely neighbour if she has one I could borrow… and a teapot, and cups and saucers! And seats. It will be like Downton but in a tiny little house. Imagine the smallest house in Britain at Conwy. The house is still tidy. Easy if we clean up after ourselves and we have places for things to go away.Love to all. Vx:16

MrsSD - Mr F is always with me when I am there for deliveries.
Didn't post yesterday - J came - ( not DGs Jo but a Church friend Ja ) and fiddled under the kitchen sink - no leak when we got home from SA - it was friendship/lunch club but after I put the dishwasher on to wash - we had a leak. Phoned Ja - he is coming round tomorrow - got a bowl under the leak so cupboard contents are still all on the kitchen floor. New tap is lovely - think in the tight space under the sink - the dishwasher connection was knocked.
Mr F took more stuff to the charity shop yesterday.
Today we went to the hospital for Mr F's blood test. The air ambulance had landed so we couldn't leave the hospital until it had taken off.
Mr F needed to go to the bank so did that after lunch with yet more stuff for the charity shop - all stuff that I had been given in the last few days.
My Sister called to collect the yarn that I was passing on to her - she brought me 14 free range duck eggs and 6 FR hen eggs + 2 cucumbers/3 pears and a tub of mushrooms from her local community hub.
I will be locking up and taking in a delivery at SA tonight.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Too angry to post anything at the moment, but hugs for anyone who needs them. Lazily cross posting from my own diary:
Beyond angry with stupid work stuff and finding it hard to concentrate. We've been told today that if we want to come in early to early or late to late one day for kids plays, parents evening etc then tough because they won't allow it and we have to miss it. This is just part of the fun. My CV is updated and I have a couple of inquiries out to personal contacts. I now need to find some good recruitment agents to get the job hunt moving as I have a 3 month notice period. We've been told flexible working requests will only be considered for exceptional circumstances. Dropping off and picking up kids isn't one and we should have childcare in place as it isn't their problem. I cannot get back from work in time to pick up the kids (childcare doesn't go later than 6pm and DD has to go to bed by 7pm) and since I dropped my hours to 4 days a week I've already made a flexible working request for this year and they aren't obliged to look at another one.Even in the morning although DH normally drops off, I can do breakfast clubs and get them in by 7:30, but no guarantee I will be in by 9 as the traffic around the office is truly awful. You go figure.. I'm that close to just handing in my notice with no job frankly. My mental health and family is more important than money.2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

QueenJess, big hugs hun, its rubbish when employers don't appreciate their staff. Get your polished-up cv out to agencies ASAP, and do the sums to work out if you can afford to walk away. Savings like breakfast club / after school costs, fuel for your commute, parking all add up. Also have a think about what you want from a new job - 4-day week, 2 days WFH, 4 long days etc.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
