Husband received a text from someone he knows at the embassy that they are returning to his African country, and have some space available in the sea container that's shipping their personal property home. We hope to be able to put a queen bed frame and 6 dining room chairs in, and 2 large drums full of clothes and small items (mainly toys and items for school).I realised I have quite a few vacation days left, so I've discussed with my boss, and I'm off every Friday afternoon until christmas! This weekend is going to be busy, as I'm helping at the church's fundraising 'spaghetti-evening', Friday 17.00-23.00, Saturday 12.00-23.00. I'll be doing dishes
DDs will help serving/clearing; dd1 (15) both days, dd2 (12) as long as she enjoys is; dd1's friend (15) will help, too. Husband will be taxi service to bring/pick up daughters and friend, and he will come eat with us on Saturday night. Then, on Sunday, a friend gets ordained as street preacher in Ghent (to work with the addicted/homeless/etc), and dds have a friend's birthday party around dinner time. I have to organise enough cash to pay the spaghetti event, a gift for my friend, and a gift from dd1 to their friend (dd2 already gave her gift on her actual birthday).

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday has started as a dull, cool & overcast day at 09:13 😔 I am rather pleased to see that we are mentioned in this week’s newsletter as a ‘Favourite MSE OS Forum thread’ 🙂 DH is in the kitchen making a soup using up various left overs & bits from the freezer 🙂 Still overcast at 10:55 😔
~FlowerPot~, you too can be organised 😉 If you only send a few cards a year perhaps you could buy a small supply & on a quiet evening write them & mark with a date for posting 😊 Then all you have to do is add a stamp & post 🙂 Oops to nearly ‘gluting poor chap’ 😬 It will take a bit of getting used to but I have every faith that it will get easier especially once you are no longer suffering from face ache 😊 I see that you had a very busy Tuesday so well done on getting so much done 👏
dND, looks like an interesting site from the picture 😉 No facebook for me just MSE 😅 otherwise I would probably be online way more than I already am & even less would get done 😂
vulpix, it certainly has been “one heck of a year so far” 😥 A testament to both your strength & MrV’s that you haven’t spent more time in the TLC Carriage 🥹 Great work unpacking all the visible boxes & well done on reaching 1129 items out 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way. Tidy on the surface is a good place to be & as you say you can now take your time to do the organising 😊 I see that our fellow declutterati have offered up some ideas re the ‘conundrum of the lamps’ 🙂 Very impressed that you are not only decluttering your home but also your mum’s house plus dealing with frogs 👏 Good luck dealing with the craft room & making the temperature blanket 🍀 Also keeping my fingers crossed that ERNIE finally remembers to be kind to you 🤞😉
Great idea re the lamp Floss 👏
flamingo747, shame about the Covid jabs 😔 hopefully you can get them today 🤞More excellent decluttering & already at 468 👏 I am really delighted to hear that you will be keeping in touch with lovely neighbours 😊
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that you felt rough yesterday 😔 but very well done on the excellent decluttering & reducing outstanding frogs to 3/10 👏
florianatwobob, I love random thoughts especially such clever & rather witty ones 👏😊
Caught up one more page 🥳 Back later to finish catching up 🤞

Morning all
Liverpool_anne , definitely return to send and say he's not been there that long! How odd. We still get the occasional bank statement for someone who hasn't lived here for 14 years! Bank say tough, they have to legally send it somewhere.
MrsSD this is my favourite thread on MSE, everyone is lovely. Maintenance declutter sounds good. I think I'll start a 3/6 month purge list in Jan. If it hasn't been used or loved by a set date, it can go. Also maybe a 1 in 1 out.
Today junior flamingo is home. He woke from a nightmare at 2:50 couldn't get back to sleep until 630, which as he is supposed to be on bus at 7:05 means home day. I've said he needs to do homework and it's a home school situation! Need to reschedule covid jabs, hoping to manage it on a walk in session this afternoon. Suitcase came down from loft for holiday planning, it has an Xmas tree in it that I want to declutter but I feel guilty just taking it to tip. Charity shops are overrun with them, and so is marketplace.
Declutter guilt is a real cchallenge.Musr remind myself that it is still unwanted junk in my house or in landfill, just the former costs me in space and peace.

I appear to have decluttered my keys. This is the ring that has my car key, house key, pocket knife, and various charms and doodads. It doesn't include the OH's car key as I took that off the ring, knowing that it was the only one I was might need when I was going off overseas (need might be on the way to or from the airport). And knowing that I wouldn't be allowed through security with a knife, no matter how small. So now I can't remember where I put the key ring with all the necessaries. I have a spare of both my car and house key but I miss my doodads and my tiddle knife - it's so handy I use it most days...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Flamingo747 - could you put the tree in the yard with treats for the birds or small animals on it? There might also be a nursing home that would like one for a forgotten patient's room - as some don't have families that will celebrate with them.14

Hi all, 2 LDFPA, 7 cuddly toys washed which will go to the cs when they have dried. I have another 6 to do but I ran out of drying space for them.. Bathroom and toilet cleaned, shower curtain washed and bathroom bin emptied. Union meeting attended and post collected from OHs house. I heard today that cousin's wife's mother's funeral is tomorrow. I am not sure if I will be able to get there as it is quite a distance and it is at 10 am but I will try.
@Vulpix, you have got this, hugs.
Right off to bed now if I am going to be up early tomorrow, hugs to anybody who would like one
1331 + 1332 LDFPA
1333 bathroom bin emptied
Take care everyone
