@wort I love hearing that you and others find life easier after decluttering and will sour me on.
@dND yes please to mid-century fb as realise I do have things to pass on, not all furniture but mid-century home and other items which I should part with .
Listened to radio programme about those who work too much and after being in the office 11 hours yesterday need to take heed. Not usually thar long hours but does take away from other parts of life. Another friend retired on Friday.14 -
Morning all. I had the two jabs yesterday and have a very sore left arm (Covid one). Unfortunately it kept waking me up. Need to decide whether to go out today - think I will take myself out to lunch as sore arm rather puts me off gardening and strenuous housework.
1306 Covid and flu jabs decluttered
1307 All October cards written and ready to post - 2 are USA so I had better post them this week (there are only 4 in October altogether) eight November birthdays so more cards to buy
1308 Cards sent off to DGS1 to test uni postal system
1309 January lunch deposit paid and will post this morning
1310 Empty Cheque book decluttered - I used the last cheque yesterday. I got this cheque book just after DH died 5 years ago next month. In the 'old days' I used up a cheque book every 2/3 months. I daresay the next one will last me 10 years.

morning lovelies,@GrannyKate, I am in awe of you orgnisation, and love how you bulk sort and send out the cards. We dont have av big family and send v few cards, but im always last minute, I will try much harder to get the cards earlier. DS1 is going to be 21, so I will try and get his and this week. Plus actually they take alot of cards away as we get nearer to xmas so I will also get DS2s card which is in Decemeberfeeling a bit brighter this morning. Nearly gluted poor chap last night, i popped to the shop to get stir fry bits and stupidly bought a sauce and didnt check ~ i blame my face ache and not thinking straight. i couldnt cook so left it to DH and he spotted it. then our soy sauce had gluten it in so tea night night was rather bland
and husband was rather cross. oh well onwards and upwards!! Its a steep learning curve but we will get there!! ANd I do appreciate all your helpful posts, I wont keep quoteing them as its taking up too much of the thread, but i cant thank you enough. Also stopped a lady who looked like she knew what she was doing in the free from isle and she was very helpful too.
This morning I am going to reset the lounge, it had a lovely clean on Saturday, but you wouldnt know it this morning!! And then blitz the kitchen, by then it will be time to swap hats for the taxi service to the home ed centre. Then swap hats again to go to work, then swap hats again to mum and visist a college open evening, then swap hats again to chef (although we might be too late for tea and DH may have to do this one again!!!) Fingers crossed face ache isnt like yesterday so I can manage!!Love Flowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Good morning. I have been in the tlc carriage for a little bit. It’s not like me to be over whelmed but it has been one heck of a year so far. I feel a bit better today. The mountain of boxes is unpacked. The contents either put in cupboards or gone to the charity shop. There are some kitchen items missing. Arthur wood pottery, they must be under the stairs. I put all the same type of boxes together as I thought they were all Christmas stuff. They are labelled but I got slap dash. Pictures waiting for the wall to be drilled have temporarily gone in the insulated shed. The house is now tidy… on the surface. It will take some more work to have everything organised.
I am dithering over lamps. I have 3, I need one. Can’t decide which one to keep. The excess cleaning stuff from mil is in 2 kitchen cupboards. I will deal with it at leisure. In fact I can deal with it all at leisure now.I am also sorting stuff from my Mum’s. I washed a load of soft toys. They have come up well. They will go to the chazzer. Mr V has just taken another box of our stuff to the charity shop in the village. They also wondered if there is anything left at our house. Oh yes, plenty and a lot of it will be going their way.A lot of frogs eaten, hoovering the top of the wardrobes, putting a magnet catch on the airing cupboard door. The best one, successfully glueing my sandals.Tc77, you are going well. I like your choice of chairs. I agree the big ones seem rather bulky . The ercol are beautiful as is the desk. I have only restored one ercol chair, it took forever. I wouldn’t want to do a set. It is hard to empty someone’s house. Sad really. I am making myself do room by room. Not letting myself move on unless the room is empty. One bedroom done 2 more to do. I am in the most stuffed one atm. Craft room. 🫣
I started knitting the temperature blanket for dgs. 3 attempts and I don’t like it. I have decided to make an English paper piece quilt instead. It’s nice to hear of everyone’s progress. Weenancy those big items out will make a huge difference. Thank you for posting photos, particularly of cats😻flowerpot, I hope your son is starting to feel better soon.Amazingly total is now 1129 items gone, never to return. Large and small items gone to have a new life with someone else.Oh, nice to see that you and Mr SD are keeping premium bonds on their toes Mrs SD. As I keep saying, 64 years and counting, waiting for the big win!

Well, covid jabs did not go to plan, pharmacist in traffic from the crash on M5 so will have to try tomorrow instead!
Had a quick look at the pile to go in junior flamingos room. +6 boxes recycled, +2 various papers from my uni course, +2 tops for rag bag, +6 toys and +6 books for CS, +1 boogie board out the front of house with a 'free pls take' sign so fingers crossed, +1 for JF's health travel card. +2 tops to go to DNiece later in the month. So another 28 today.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Tuesday is a bright sunny day but slightly cooler only 17C. I was up slightly earlier 11:45, so I will have my first cuppa to get fully awake & start my cheerleading 😉 DSis was up earlier & has just come downstairs for the 2nd time. Current DSis is coughing, spluttering & sneezing all over the place 😔
Fizz2015 & DD, great work in the garden 👏 Very impressed at your new self care regime 😊 It sounds like you are already noticing the benefits 🥳 Now I just need to follow suit 😉
To ~FlowerPot~ & DS2, good luck & hopefully it will get easier 🍀
Well done flamingo747 👏 It is so much nicer reading MSE OS & with all the different threads there is something for everyone 😊
Muddy_Walker, you had a busy week last week but you got a lot done 👏 Belated congratulations on 26 years of marriage 💐 What a lovely anniversary present from DH - decluttering AND completing tasks 👏🥳 Also belated happy birthday to dog2 & nephew 🎉 Keeping everything crossed re the results of your CT & MRI 🤞
Excellent work on the decorating florianatwobob 👏 You & DSis are working so hard that I am awarding each of you a medal 🏅🏅 As to your quip about the Sistine Chapel I almost burst my sides laughing 🤣
oceanspirit, a deliberately quiet week sounds like it is working wonders 😊 Great work on deleting emails 👏 I did smile at the thought that OH has been left at home to deal with the decorator & the person fitting new blinds whilst you enjoy catching up with your friend 😁
Yippee DundeeDoll 🥳 & well done to DS for answering your call to arms 👏 Always nice when a strapping young man can help with the heavy lifting 😅 Good luck with your food decluttering 🍀
TC77, excellent work at your dad’s 👏 & definitely a good idea to count boxes taken to the Tip in your numbers to encourage you NOT to bring anything home from your Dad’s house 😊
What a great idea flamingo747 👏 Using a new handbag for a week to decide whether or not it fits your needs 😊 I think it has given you a big boost to clear out the original handbag 😊 Sorry to hear that you are still feeling low about your favourite neighbour moving 😔 I am hoping that you can still keep in touch as it would be a shame if you lost contact completely 🤞
GrannyKate, a busy Monday morning 👏 Puts me to shame as I was still in the Land of Nod whilst you were getting so much done 😉 Excellent decluttering & completion of tasks 👏 It also sounds like you had a busy afternoon as well 🙂
Two more pages caught up so will post this & find something to do - my list is VERY long 😉
