Is it a frog if it's actually pleasant?Belgium (and The Netherlands) have an annual 'company open day', where lots of companies open their doors on the first Sunday in October, and people can visit and see what's actually happening behind the doors. We visited a local paper recycling company, just a small one, where they collect paper and cardboard from companies, sort and bale it, and sell it on. Very interesting; there was a questionnaire with chance of a price, music, a drink and a snack for each visitor, a ride and a trampoline jump for anyone under 80kgWhy was this a frog? Well, I've known about this day for about 10 years, and always wanted to go, but never managed to get the weather, husband, daughters, (possible reservations) and transportation arranged! Husband and daughters did take a lot of persuading to come this time, but once there they enjoyed it, and have agreed to go again next year.I've edged 1 side of the lawn, and the garden looks much neater!Husband has been fixing the computer screens, etc he got from his work. He has already sold a screen-keyboard-headset-set for €80. He has about 20 more sets to sellThe large picture frames that were in the garage, are now dusted and in the hallway, waiting for transportation to the bedrooms or attic. One fell forward and now I have a bruise on my shin
I better start moving them quick!
Husband was looking for an African meal in the freezer, while dds and I were preparing fries and chicken nuggets in the airfryer. He found lots of bits of meals and kept pulling them out saying 'this has been in there for a long time, we need to eat this!', and then wanted to carry all of those containers to the kitchen to defrost. I asked him what he thought I was doing with the mealplan and to put them all back! We will get there! Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5917 -
We really enjoyed yesterday's cafe Church - desert island discs - Church member had been a musician on The Royal Yacht Britannia - had a fascinating life.
The hall in my house is empty of charity stuff - we got a bus into town this morning - loaded up with books in my shopping trolley which Mr F pulled. I carried 2 bags of stuff and we came home with nothing. A Church friend called by and is going to fit a new tap in my kitchen - mine is leaking - been there 10 years.
Had a sort out of the bag of yarn that I was given on Saturday - in the past I would have kept the lot but not now - some is going to the charity shop - some to my sister and I am keeping a few balls.
Mr F has just got home from taking 2 bags of jigsaw puzzles to the charity shop - we rescued them from going in the bin after the table top sale.
My officer phoned me this morning - could I go and count money with him this afternoon so I will be going out again.
Mr F has men's fellowship tonight so will eat there - I will do a quick dinner of oven chips and fried eggs.

I really need to start going to bed earlier as I woke up at 12:30 with a headache 😔 Monday is very overcast & quite dark. DH is now up at 13:20. DSis was up earlier & was watching an episode of Heartbeat when I came down but has now retired to her room.
flamingo747, sounds like you had the most wonderful birthday 🥳 Such lovely thoughtful gifts 😊 I do like the sound of the half-day Otter experience, so I am hoping that you will share a couple of photos 🙏 Congratulations on 21 years of marriage 😊
Thanks QueenJess 🙂 Excellent decluttering even with being so busy working 👏 No wonder you are irritated 😠 reading your comment my first thought was that it ‘sounds’ almost like constructive dismissal 🤔 I could understand perhaps one day a month into the office but to go from working from home to a daily commute is ‘odd’ to say the least 😔 However, I am not qualified to give an opinion, so I will wish you good luck in finding a new job 🍀
Floss, I did grin at the notion that your cat was sending you a fortnightly postcard from Blackpool 😁
flamingo747, that is a rather dark thought 😔 to add to my rather bleak thought 😔
Thanks Florenceem 😊
betasam, you are very welcome 🙂 More excellent decluttering 👏 & I am especially impressed that the boxes have been delivered to the CS 😊 I hope you have a lovely holiday & that the weather is kind 🤞
dND, I see your cats are moving with the times 😉 Sorry to hear that both you & the cats were upset when you visited them 😔 Everything is still crossed that the house purchase goes through as speedily as possible 🤞Three months is a long time go without cat cuddles 😔 Not a true replacement but I am sending hugs 🤗
I am finding the the conversation about being coeliac rather interesting & would like to thank all of you who are sharing experiences & information with ~FlowerPot~ 👏 you know who you are - florianatwobob, Liverpool_Anne, wort & short_bird 👏🙂
Thanks TC77 😊 I hope you got a good night’s sleep & that the decluttering at your dad’s house is going well 🤞 Remember not to bring anything home 😉
Liverpool_Anne you might have got sidetracked from the box but that was an excellent session of tidying the airing cupboard 👏
Just the one page caught up but my concentration is in rather short supply for no apparent reason 😔 I will be back later 👋

Well, September saw rather a lot coming in, but it was my birthday and several of the items were replacements of worn out/no longer fitting items.
Happy birthday/anniversary to the many celebrations - September is a popular month!
One tadpole dealt with immediately whilst I was on annual leave. We bought some paint for the second bedroom turned gym, and immediately painted the wall! So that's all done, in a lovely 'wisteria' as I do pilates in there so wanted it to be calming.
Also decluttered a bucket list point, we went to go see phantom of the opera on stage just before it finished. It was really good, and I'm glad I managed to do it. Had 2 days in London, and had a lovely, if tiring, time.
Next frog on the list is to paint the bathrooms, but need to deal with the mould issue first, so I suspect this will take a bit longer.
Not much actively out this month, but will be running down the freezer over the next few weeks as it is getting very full, with some stuff having been in there a while now.14 -

Although my concentration is still not great, I have set my timer for 23 minutes & will do some cheerleading in an effort to start catching up - wish me luck 🍀 Stopped the timer as DH decided a 10 minute session in the garden was a priority 😅 He has tidied up the rhubarb & I did some weeding. DH is now in the garage zizzing up some food for the worms 😉 I am starting the timer again 🍀
GrannyKate, try not to feed the new cat visitor 😉 or you might end up with a new family member 😂Excellent work on the pruning 👏 that is certainly a very full car 😥 Good luck dealing with the 2nd lot of 5 frogs 🍀
Thank you for your good wishes Moorviews 👏 Very pleased to hear that you had such a lovely social Saturday 😊
QueenJess, I really hope that your parents brought nothing but themselves when they visited yesterday 🤞or maybe just the items you have previously requested 😉 Great work disposing of the bubble wrap 👏 I usually save any bubble wrap (from my DSis) & drop it off at the CS 😉 Sounds like you need Dilly to come & help with the kitchen cupboard sort out so you can get your new glass jars into use asap 😉😅 Good luck with both your projects & your hunt for a new job with a more reasonable Company 🍀
flamingo747, that is a long list so I can see you will be very busy in October 🤩 Very pleased to see that it is not all work & no play 😊 Hopefully you can move the odd one or two tasks to Mr flamingo’s list 🤞😉 Good luck 🍀
EnergyShifter, very pleased to hear that you were feeling well enough on Friday to go for a walk 😊Such beautiful countryside 😍 It also sounds like you had a lovely relaxing Saturday 😊 although I was sorry to hear that you felt so awful on Sunday 😔 Hopefully you are feeling a lot better today 🤞
flamingo747, I did consider deleting the photo & putting up a new one without the names but that would have been a bit like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted 🤣 Such a shame that your lovely neighbours are moving 😔 Like you I hate change but as you say the new neighbours could be just as lovely 🤞Well done on getting so much done 👏 even though you are feeling a little sad 😢
Quite a productive cheerleading session as one more page done 🙂

Feeling very demotivated on everything with the silly work stuff going on. I did make myself a big lime cake to cheer myself up for the afternoon (made during my lunch hour). Turned my laptop on at 9am this morning and switched off at 5pm after exactly 1 hour taken for lunch. Suddenly have some extra time on my hands.Turns out I had decluttered 5 things without even trying, so I tried hard to get to 10 items today to achieve something. I even labelled my new flour jars and have the old ones out to wash up (they are already on Buy Nothing). Slow progress being made, although still lots of things that still need using up in the freezer/cupboards etc to get to the minimalist paradise I am looking for!33,481-33,486 - paper (reused, then recycled)

Mrs SD, I own up to bringing things back . I'm planning g on getting rid of heavy wooden dining chairs chose by ex over years ago and arrived within weeks of us splitting - can't remember if before or after. They are too heavy and uncomfortable. Brought back one of 3 chairs ( ercol) from my dad's which need some clea inf up and one of his dining chairs to see of one or other I decide I like and bring back. Have 8 of the heavy chairs and only me at home . Although dd2 may come back from uni as has shingles
I have the original brochure from the dark dining chairs ( 1959) and have a small side board ( other chairs/ table and sideboard at my dad's!

Little
sideboard Which I had to clear to take photo. Again some repair needed. Off to make myself put some things in cs bag. Unworn new clothes which I struggle with as seems wasteful but then know someone else may enjoy and need.
