4 cds dropped off on my way to meet a friend so we could (selflessly) help a cafe declutter some cake. Also dropped in an envelope into the pillar box which I should have done yesterday but I knew the pick up would be today in any case.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Whilst hunting, in vain, for the new tin of doorstep paint (which clearly doesn’t exist except in my head) we had an impromptu declutter of the shed. More stuff to go to charity tomorrow.I also decluttered the job of changing the drippy tap in the bathroom but now have an oozy leak from the flexi hose connectir to the tap tail…… I either need a new washer or a man with more ooomph to give the connector nut another twist. Nothing guaranteed to make you feel less like a competent woman.During this I found all the flat head screwdrivers that had gone AWOL which was handy as I needed one for the isolator valve. I think they’d had a party.I have also decluttered more of the cap badge pattern!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hi chums.Hello and welcome flamingo 747.Flowerpot, I am no help with your bedroom colour. We had ours done while we were on holiday in a colour called timeless which is off white. The whole house is the same colour. It is a blank canvas to start from. I love strong colours but this house is dark because of its proximity to the woods. I stayed at a b n b with dark green walls, one wall was a massive dark floral mural. it was dramatic and stunning. Our bedroom has an exposed brick chimney breast which is over powering and not easy to match anything to. I have my old sitting room curtains in there that are gold. I may be brave and have colour next time round.
Every thing from the house is still packed up in the shed. it can stay there until the new floor is done. Actually I need to find the box with cups. We are having visitors on Friday. It would be nice not to share the two mugs!I have been to see my Mum then food shopping today. Mr V at work 5am till 10am. We have emptied Mr V’s suitcases and put everything away. He has ousted some clothes. My cases to do tomorrow. I have a few items earmarked to go.Very pleased to have only put on 2lbs on the cruise even though the food was beautiful.860. Well here we are at 02:15 waiting for either an ambulance or dr……hubby was dizzy all day and then started being really sick. I thought at first it was vertigo but now I think it’s food poisoning……my son in law is a paramedic so kindly came over to help.Thing is I can’t do anything as my jab was Friday and it wipes me out.
im sure hubby will be fine - he’s very dramatic when poorly - but this seems to be happening more and more often…..the drama bit. I know that sounds cruel and heartless but I don’t know what to say or do without sounding like a first class female dog……
I am getting less and less help from him “as I hired a cleaner” yet he has 2 rooms of doom….
Sorry people for the moan 😢⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

A very lazy Friday - I dealt with my mail. DH fed the worms & sprayed weed killer on the front path. DSis was feeling slightly better so had some dinner. We finished off the cottage pie & cabbage. Wudupa. I spent the rest of my time watching more episodes of Spooks. Then DSis & I cleared down several episodes of Heartbeat.
1997 - 1998 Kitchen recycling & glass bottle - recycled
1999 - 2000 Kitchen detritus binned
Saturday is another warm, sunny day 😊 The last forecast (26C) before the temperatures start reducing daily down to 18C by next Saturday. Don’t forget that Strictly starts tonight - so it must be Autumn 😉 I have written a small shopping list for DH & he will be heading off soon 🙂 DH back & I have put everything away. Continued to watch more episodes of Spooks & also cleared down a few more programmes from TV Planner. DSis & I watched Strictly - I only recognised 7 of the 15 so called celebrities- DSis did slightly better 10 of 15 as she watches Corrie, Eastenders etc. It was nice to see Hamza again 😊Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & plum tomatoes. Wudupa.
2001 - 2002 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
2003 Kitchen detritus binned

@Muddy_Walker , hope your hubby is OK ( and you). Sounds really tough and no-one minds you moaning ( and if any a v gentle one) !
In slightly run down motel type place in brum having dripped dd2 off at uni and will see her later to pick up things she doesn't want, eg. boxes and give her an airer I picked up last night. Had wanted her to take my not so new one but just couldn't get it in the car. Dd1 came round and offered to come with but wouldn't have fitted in or wanted to stay the night.
Dd1 took small carrier of things for her, as packing dd2 managed to let me know a few tops could go to CS so now in the bag to go.
House in chaos so as dd1 said we will see how much is down to me - large house and only me with many room of doom ! Itching to sort out mess left my dd2 as throwing out rubbish and tidying others stuff so much easier than mine!
Really hoping I can tackle the house as a whole. Have serious frogs to deal with too so again have to balance these as decluttering may be easier than some of these but less time critical.
Take care everyone19 -
Muddy_Walker hope your DH is OK. Can you & your cleaner develop selective blindness for his stuff / mess, so it is more obviously his? And maybe his dramatic outbursts could be dealt with as one would a tantrumming child...?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi all,
Firstly let me say thank you for the lovely warm welcome from you all. I used to be here as Rosie 383 a while ago then changed my profile so my ex couldn't lurk and see me asking for advice around the divorce etc. The OS forum just feels like a very comfortable, supportive, friendly place to be and just breathe.
Someone asked why I was clearing the sheds as most of it is my ex's stuff. I have a non-mol order in place that means he can't come to the house or he will be arrested. So I packed up all of his things (he will have fun with his clothes as they were taken from the wardrobes etc. and have been in bin bags in the shed for almost 2 years, all now lovely and creasy lol).
As for the stuff in the sheds like tools etc, I boxed up what he wanted along with some kitchen bits. Thankfully yesterday he came with a van (I emailed to give permission for him to come to get his possessions) and picked up all of his stuff.
Some of the large bits of furniture went too.
So now I have space (and, more importantly, mental space) to sort out all of the rest of the house in preparation for moving. Maybe 5 or 6 weeks. Having my plumber come to the sheds and tell me what to take to the tip has really helped. It is tempting to think 'I could sell that, or that' but then it really isn't practical for a lot of the bits.
Freebies groups have been great to get rid of some things, and most of the stuff that I put outside on the wall has gone.
I think I will do a car boot in a couple of weeks. There are quite a few pairs of shoes that the kids grew out of. Usually they are easy to sell at a car boot for a couple of quid. Then anything left can go to the chazzer.
Moving home does concentrate the mind. I really only want to have to bring stuff that will definitely get used.
Biiiiig frog will be putting the remaining furniture that isn't going with me, onto fb or Gumtree to try to sell it. Not sure why I really put off doing things like that.
Anyway, just rabbiting on here. Need to go and help organise our Memory Walk for Alzheimer's. Have a good day everyone.22 -
