Sunday was a grey drizzly day - didn’t see the sun at all 😔 I do believe summer (what there was of it) is finally over 😔 I have finished watching Spooks - I still cry at the last death even though I know it is coming 😭 I also watched the Spooks film with Jon Snow sorry I mean Kit Harrington 😉 Overall, although I enjoyed it, I now see all the flaws - so many traitors/double/triple agents; even our allies are enemies; lastly the digital security was appalling - everyone seemed to be able to hack into MI5’s computers 😱 I am now starting on Line of Duty - I knew I shouldn’t have signed up for BBC iPlayer 🤣 Dinner was pork steaks, mash, broccoli & carrots. Wudupa. Thunder & lightning & heavy rain at about midnight - it sounded like someone was trying to break in 😱
2004 - 2007 Kitchen recycling, paper packaging, drinks cans, large cardboard box - recycled
2008 Kitchen detritus binned
Monday is another overcast day but the sun has succeeded in coming out for a few minutes. I have fallen behind with the cheerleading as I have become engrossed in Line of Duty 😔 So timer set for 23 minutes & here goes 😉
Great decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 Wishing you a lovely holiday in Portugal 😊

Deni_debt-free_dreamer, pleased to hear that you are finally on the mend 😊 However, do remember that the TLC Carriage is at your disposal if you have left too soon 😉 The bedroom wall colour sounds like something I might be tempted to wear 😉
Florenceem sounds like a nice day on Saturday 😊 I hope you found time to do your nails 🤞
Wednesday2000, I didn’t enjoy it much either & with no Dilly it was sadly lacking 😔 I really hope that the next episode is better 🤞Great decluttering 👏 Sorry to hear about your poor dog needing dental work - even more expensive than human dental work 😣 Although I am pleased to hear that you didn’t have an adverse re@cation to your flu jab 🙂
Floss, both bedrooms sound like they are well decorated. Looking forward to seeing pictures especially of the new decor 🙏
Natty68, that is such a bonus that your cats & dog love their new home just as much as you do 🥳Great work unpacking - hopefully you will find plenty to declutter as you go through the remaining boxes 😉
Gers, thanks for the pointer to the article about recycling cosmetics & toiletries 👏
What a brilliant idea Florenceem 👏
Gers, another brilliant idea 👏 & well done to you for getting your colleagues on board 😊
flamingo747, nice to save a little by not having to buy toiletries 🙂 Lavender as a colour is so restful 😊Steady progress on the decluttering 👏 Keep up the good work & fingers crossed that the next items your DH brings home includes salmon 🤞
QueenJess, please don’t feel bad about struggling to find time with DH 😊 I am sending positive vibes to you both that work will quieten down very soon 🍀🤞Please, please remember exactly how much decluttering you have done over the last 8 months 🤩 You are an inspiration to so many of your fellow declutterati this year 👏🥳 Wishing you continued success in decluttering food stocks 😊 Excellent decluttering in DS’s room 👏
One page caught up over a 37 minute session 😉 Only 3 more pages to go 😉

For our renovation I had bought 10 moving boxes from a shop called 'Action' (similar to Poundshop). They are really bad quality. You can fill and move them somewhere, but the bottom falls out if you pick them up again! So, apparently, moving boxes are worth what you pay.I'm currently wearing a chanel-like cardi from Gerry Weber; I like the cardi, it fits me (the sleeves are long enough!), it comes from my posh Auntie who wore it for work 40 years ago (aaahhh!! Where does time go?), I just need a better top to pair it with. Hmmm.... I know every single item of clothing I own and not one of them will match. What to do? (I'm just pondering, not looking for advice
)
Out:3 pairs of pants that had lost their elasticity. Now I have to look for (at least 1) pair of beigy pants, to wear under white trousers and skirts.1 bra that kept flipping up on one breast. It was really weird and I have no idea why it did.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5918 -
Hello all, I have just decluttered another lovely stress free sunny holiday and come home to chaos on the roads here in Wales 😣. Now back to endless surgery appointments for the both of us starting tomorrow, so back to more stress and worry, no wonder my blood pressure is high !
I have been sorting and putting away some caravan stuff and I have some washing to do too but the weather has decided not to play ball and it's raining off and on. I have however just washed the underwear and put it on the airer as our 'van awning is festooning the spare bedroom at the moment as it was damp when we took it down. Looks like the circus is in town in there.🤣
Most things that are normally left in the van over the summer ( smellies and store cupboard items etc) have been brought back and will be absorbed into the house then we'll start afresh next year.
While sorting out and finding room for items today.
4 new bath bombs to cs.:-
5 pairs of underwear, no longer fit for purpose, binned
1 garment cover, zip broken, binned
1 holiday toothbrush binned
1 broken plastic travel soap dish/holder, binned
5 novels ( read) left on site in the little library)
1 novel ( read) brought home to be passed on to DD.
43 emails read and decluttered.
Several van dishes/pots/ oven dishes/trays have been decluttered into the DW, must admit they weren't in use that often as not much cooking was done, we were on holiday 😁 Now to get back to the diet and declutter some weight.
Sorry haven't read back, too many pages have gone by. Hugs a plenty available if you need them xx

DH & I had a short stint in the garden before a heavy rain shower. DH has fed the worms, filled the bird feeders & started pruning one of next doors trees which is overhanging our garden. I have staked & tied up the 3 tomato plants that we rescued 😉 They have gone mental, flowered & have several small green tomatoes on them 🤔 The sun keeps putting in brief appearances in between the showers 🥳
2009 - 2011 Three broken plastic pots binned
Good decluttering Brie 👏 especially helping the café to declutter cake 😊
florianatwobob, nothing like staring a search for something specific to lead to an impromptu & successful decluttering session 👏 Well done on tackling the plumbing repairs 👏 & no need at all to feel you aren’t competent after all you have done all the hard work 😊 You painted a great picture of all ‘the flat head screwdrivers having a party 😅 The cap badge is starting to look brilliant 🤩
vulpix, loving the chat about bedroom colours 😊 I am always too timid to have any bright colours 😔 Although there is a short article in my weekly magazine about ‘hushing your home’ see pic.
Not quite sure what to make of it but it might stimulate more ideas 🤨 Your cruise was over way too quickly 😔 Just wondering if you are booking another one as you seem to have enjoyed it so much 😉Excellent decluttering 👏 & really good news that you only gained 2lbs 😊 you will declutter that in no time 😊
TC77 sorry you lost your post 😔 I still get easily distracted so am still typing in Notes then copying & pasting to the thread 😔 It does add a little time to the process but so far I have avoided losing any posts 😉 long may that last 🤞
Muddy_Walker, so sorry to hear about your hubby 😔 I hope everything is Okay but I will read ahead to check ……… Pleased to hear that DH is feeling a bit better & that you managed to get at least a little sleep 😊 My DH is the complete opposite to yours - he trivialises any medical issues - his way of coping 😔 I agree with vulpix so I am quoting her “Oh dear muddy, I have just seen your latest post. My advice would be to do nothing until you have had some sleep. Stand up for your needs. Xxx”
I would like to thank everyone for supporting Muddy_Walker, you are all such lovely people 😊
TC77, you are so right - Muddy_Walker’s post was not much of a moan, more an exercise in clarification 😊 Hopefully DD2 didn’t give you too much stuff to take home again 🤞 Perhaps now that you have the house to yourself you will be able to deal with your frogs & your decluttering in a more serene manner 🤞I did have a rueful smile at “Itching to sort out mess left my dd2 as throwing out rubbish and tidying others stuff so much easier than mine!” However you must be strong 💪 😉 Perhaps set time aside to tackle a frog & then reward yourself with some decluttering 🤔 Although I really should take my own advice - perhaps I should make a poster 🤣
Lovely post Floss 😊 I especially liked your last suggestion for Muddy_Walker 😉
Almost finished another page of cheerleading but losing concentration 😔

Muddy I hope you are feeling more relaxed after some better sleep. Its a tricky situation for you. With a step back maybe you can view it with dispassion, as if a good friend was teyou about their situation - what would you kindly advise her to do?
Wednesday- have you tried snag tights? They get good reports from some of my friends
I know there was more i needed to follow up on but my brain refusing to play ball. I'm sure that's partly as I've been pinned to the couch since half 11 this morning as we adopted a 12 year old pussycat today. We assumed she would hide for at least 24 hours but no, within half an hour she was on my lap and has barely moved. She has had a bit wander about upstairs, we had a heart stopping moment when she leaned over half her body through the gallery railings to check out downstairs but we showed her where the stairs are and hopefully she won't do that again !
Hugs to all
Daisy xx

Wednesday2000 said:I wore tights out the other day and they kept rolling down in a very annoying way. I had to go to a bathroom and take them off. I haven't worn tights in months so I forgot they did that. I am getting rid of all my tights as I only have that brand and another one that are very thin. I put my foot through the leg of one of them!
I usually just buy tights from Amazon, but I am going to have to look for a new brand before the weather gets chilly.
I think I will cut the old tights up and use them as floor cloths.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January17 -

@nannywindow I'm with you on chaos on the Welsh roads. Guessing its either due to the 20mph or the possible the fact 2 junctions shut on M4 for a few weekends. We were caught in it the previous weekend.
Minimal decluttering still, just no mojo though think I am getting DD's cold. Off to cook a comfort dinner of sausages, mash, veg and homemade onion gravy.16 -
Hi lovely people 😊 everything is much better today - I slept, hubby has a prescription from the dr (viral vertigo) and is being much less of a drama Queen.
I did tell him how I felt and managed it fairly calmly - he was also angry thinking I was being a female dog when what it was was lack of help from the inlaws, being wiped out and his general attitude.
I have agreed to assist with ROD but said I wouldn’t be doing it for him and that as he gets home earlier with his new job he would have more time and to just suck it up and get on with it.
I then went and checked my shark cycle……yeah that’s also due…which really doesn’t help with the treatment I am having.
But there we go - we rarely row but when it builds up all hell is let loose!
