Thanks guys! I did actually think people on here recommended a decent brand of tights to me but I couldn't remember the name. I will try Snag tights now before autumn sets in.🤩

I was wearing my biggest knickers over my tights the other day when I went into London and they were still rolling down my bum. I was at the O2 in London stopping and pulling up my tights and knickers. Not a good look.😆2025 GOALS

Spent the afternoon watching Line of Duty Season 1. Hopefully by binge watching I will remember information from Season 1 whilst watching Season 2 🤞Dinner was spaghetti Bolognaise made from scratch 😋 Wudupa. I seem to be falling further behind on the cheerleading 🙊

NornIronRose, sounds like you are well shot of the ex 😰 Hopefully him picking up all his stuff means that you can now get on with how you want to live your life 🤞😊 It was rather nice that you had some advice re clearing the sheds as that would have saved not only your time but mental energy as well 👏Yippee to your plumber 🙂 Good luck with the car-boot sale & selling the big furniture 🍀
I am sending you flowers 💐 to brighten up the place whilst you continue your decluttering journey 🙂

vulpix, it is surprising how quickly you can get used to a larger sized bed than the one you usually sleep in 😉 I have every sympathy for MrV - you can guess why 😂 At least he doesn’t appear to have injured himself judging by the amount of work the two of you have done 😉 Excellent decluttering & completion of various tasks 👏
Good advice flamingo747 😊 although if planned correctly, murder might be an option 🤣🤣 only joking 🙃🙃 Excellent decluttering, you really are getting into the swing 👏 I have definitely noticed the evenings drawing in & like you I hate the darker nights 😔 Pleased to hear that your medal will be displayed 😉
Muddy_Walker, delaying the “discussion” will give you time to plan 😉
Liverpool_Anne, yippee to feeling more human after your B12 jab 🥳 Even feeling under the weather you have managed to do far more than I have - so well done 👏 Lovely 2nd half of your post - so supportive 😊
Excellent & useful information Floss 👏
Congratulations on the birth of your son, kiss_me_now9 🥳 It is so lovely to see you 👋 It sounds like you are enjoying your maternity leave & getting into a nice routine 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 - 10 bags/boxes to the cs, big tub & box of toiletries for teenagers in poverty, mugs & plates to someone who is on the road out of homelessness. I am very impressed that you have managed so much decluttering whilst looking after your baby boy 😊 One Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂 Good luck with your continuing decluttering 🍀
Florenceem, hope there are some pictures of the latest batch of beaded pens … oh yes, I see that they are on the crafting thread - beautiful 😻Good luck for tomorrow’s work on the front garden 🍀

Made $500 at our book sale last Friday! Still trying to get books out of boxes and on their way to be sold for next month. We almost cleared out all the new books - but 40 more boxes came in last week! I don't mind. It is like The C-Word every day - you never know what will come in. The young people working in the library came and moved the boxes into place for me. We have 25 boxes of mysteries which we are going to put on special shelves out of the way to put out as we need them - since we used four boxes already to replace those that sold last Friday, it won't take long to use them up. The Books for the Jail will be going out every other month for awhile. Trying to figure out some non-fiction and more Spanish language books to send. We even had some Vietnamese books come in that are going in the boxes.
Most of the rest of the time, I have been eating major frogs - 8 in the last few days, including stuff for several roommates. Also am dog sitting for my sister again three days a week for the next three weeks. Taking roommate Di to therapy two days a week after dog sitting cuts my time for writing too short. But on Friday I can spend the whole day there and can work on my book writing. Back at the Family History Center three days a week also (3 hours two days a week, 6 hours one day). So keeping out of mischief.
Hope Hurricane Lee doesn't cause too much rain there. Good luck everyone. We are expecting rain here later in the week, but it should be very light. I hope it is enough to water the garden.

My organising momentum continued despite returning to work yesterday - I had a nice long lunch break during which time I squeezed in a lot of activity.
New round table for dining room arrived (replacing rectangular one) - I can't believe the difference it's made - the room looks much more spacious - don't know why I didn't think of doing this years ago! Also bought a new 2 tier dish drainer which makes much better use of the space in my tiny kitchen - again - how did I not think of it before now? Dish drainer didn't have a drip tray and I was considering returning it but then realised my old draining board that I threw out on Sunday fits perfectly . This meant retrieving it from the bin- thankfully on top - so much power-washing, scrubbing and disinfecting involved but end result is great! (numbers adjusted)
DS (who helped out with assembly) commented on how it feels like the kitchen and dining room are one room now and therefore bigger - which is exactly the effect I was going for!
Tasks:
Assembled new table & garden storage box
Dismantled old table & stored away
Sorted under sink cabinet (bathroom)IN (running total 168)
169. Garden storage box
170. Table
171. Draining rack
OUT (running total 537 - numbers adjusted see above)
538. Christmas tree thing from shed
539. Pack of paper plates
540. Detritus from under bathroom sink
Have a good week all

Workmen's truck was outside when I looked at 7.10 this morning - now they are hard at work and DGs J has arrived to top coat new doors upstairs.
Showers are forecast today.

Today's decluttering was putting out the recycling, and will move on to a box of Mr Flamingo's things I need to sort with him, and clearing the top of the wardrobe. Apart from that, I'll be going to Craft And Chat for a few hours to work in a group canvas that I started last week.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Daisy, she is beautiful 😍 and could be the twin of my cat 🐈 he often lies on me for hours and loves a fuss .
@kiss_me_now9 you could make a draught excluder for the door with excess tights as filling. I used an old fleece throw cut in half sewed up the ends and pushed stuffing in, but you could try using the leg of one of the stockings if the are the thick type.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.14
