Last night I watched an episode of Spooks using hotel Wi-Fi. Asleep by 23:30 after getting rid of the feather pillows & using a blanket as a pillow. Slept better, only waking at 02:30, 05:30 & 07:50 when I got up & dressed. Lovely sunny day. Went down to breakfast 08:45, full English with coffee, orange juice + toast & marmalade. Returned to our room to pick up bags, jackets & helmets. DH paid bill then we went out to pack the bike. DH noticed he hadn’t handed in the room key 🙄 so whilst he finished loading the bike I returned the key. We left just before 10:00. A lovely day for riding - bright & sunny & just the right temperature low 20’sC. Only 2 landmarks - one old & one new. At the new one, see picture, we met the designer & chatted to him for about quarter of an hour. Very interesting man & he was so pleased that the memorial had been selected as a landmark 😊
We stopped for petrol with a 2nd stop for coffee & a toasted tea cake. We arrived home 15:30, unloaded the bike. DSis made us coffee & also made dinner - chicken in white sauce with boiled potatoes & green beans 😋 I washed up & left to dry.
1976 - 1984 Kitchen recycling, glass bottle, plastic bottle, 2 magazines, glass jar, drinks cans, 2 newspapers - recycled

Tomorrow I will concentrate on cheerleading & try to catch up 😉

I love reading about your trips, MrsSD. Where can I find the picture? Glad that you both made it home with no mishaps. After reading about declutterati chums’ ankles - watch out everyone!13

Good morning declutterati 😊 Thursday is shaping up to be another nice day - blue skies & sunshine 🤞Forgot to mention that I paid the milkman before I went to bed but only 97p in credit this time 😉 I will unpack the bags today & do some washing. I am attaching a picture of the view from our room in North Lincs
Will start the cheerleading on a separate post 😊

@QueenJess "I should say that to be fair, he does more than his fair share of dropping off/picking up of the kids for school/nursery to give me more time." I would say that it's just because he is their father and he is happy to care for them.Maybe a weekly 'family meeting' will help? Where you discuss the schedule, drop offs/pick ups, meals, any household tasks for the next week? Have a weekly cleaning session with everyone? Even the little ones can help. I tell my husband the day before of any of those tasks, and then send a whattsapp in the morning to remind him; I also have a weekly calendar in the kitchen where I note down everything. If it's not on there, it's not happening; if someone plans without checking, whatever is already on the calendar takes precedent. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5913

EnergyShifter, thanks for the flowers 😊 I definitely think Silver Lady has a lovely ring to it or maybe you could be the Silver Siren 😉 Good decluttering 👏 still at least three times more ‘out’ than ‘in’ 👏
GrannyKate, you might have been awol but you have definitely been busy. I was wondering if DGS1 has persuaded you to do a skydive 🤔😉 Sounds like you had a lovely time on the beach with DGS4 on Sunday 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck with getting paperwork, bills, gardening & housework done before you go away on your long weekend 🍀 Keeping everything crossed that the weather is kind 🤞
Siebrie, what a lovely picture you have painted 😊 You wrote so poetically about Corsica, that I wish I was there now 😊
QueenJess, pleased to hear that your stay in the TLC Carriage has prepared you for a busy month at work 😊 Hopefully nothing unexpected will crop up 🤞Good luck with “Project Empty Freezer & Larder” 🍀 I agree with you that the family on Sort Your Life Out weren’t as cluttered as some of the previous families 😊 & I did notice that the daughters were excellent at decluttering 👏 No wonder your DS was inspired 🥳 I am awarding him another medal 🏅for instigating another decluttering session in his room 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck refining your storage solutions 🍀
Lovely to see another new face sjglist 👋 Welcome aboard the EDT 😊 Looking forward to learning a bit more about you as you start on your decluttering journey 🙏 Starting with 30 minutes a day sounds like an excellent way to get into the swing of decluttering 👏 Good luck 🍀
Lovely welcome to our new declutterati from Brie, Muddy_Walker & Moorviews 😊
Muddy_Walker, what a lovely way to spend a weekend 😊 Catching up with friends you haven’t seen for a while - lifts the spirits & hopefully now you can meet up a bit more regularly 🤞
Excellent work over the weekend & Monday Wednesday2000 👏 Very impressed at how much you got done so I am awarding you a medal 🏅 Reminds me that DH & I need to finish cleaning our patio 😔
Floss, thanks for asking the question about the wooden hob cover 👏 Sounds like a great idea to get more work surface 🙂
Moorviews, lovely to see you back 👋 Sorry to hear that you have been so unwell 🤒 & I am sending lots of good wishes that you continue on the road to a full recovery 😊 Shame that MrMV didn’t keep an eye on the contents of the fridge but I think it is a peculiarly male thing that they think the fridge will keep food safe forever 😉 although having said that I have to admit that my DSis is quite bad about keeping an eye on ‘Use By’ dates 😔 Please do take tackling the clutter at a slow pace whilst you recuperate 🙏
vulpix, it sounds like you & MrV are having a great time on your cruise 😊👏 Although such a shame that your cruise shoes are no longer comfortable 😔 I think it was definitely a good idea to ‘overpack’ rather than ‘underpack’ as I imagine buying new clothes & accessories could have been expensive 😥Lovely picture of the plant 😊 but such a shame that the picture of the sunset has gone astray 😔
Thanks for the info EnergyShifter 👏
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 I am especially impressed with the decluttering of new Christmas decorations 🥳. DD2’s departure must be getting quite close 😥 I hope she is not too far away 🤞
Fizz2015, congratulations to you & your OH on completing your 13 mile trek & well done on raising funds for Alzheimer’s 👏 I am forwarding a Gold Star ⭐️ ⭐️ for each of you 😊 Hope you are recovering now & the aches & pains are getting less each day 🤞
Florenceem, I hope after being so busy on Sunday & the funeral & visits from family on Monday that you managed to enjoy your birthday 🎂 Another year ‘wiser’ 😊
TC77, I agree with QueenJess - anything that keeps you motivated to continue your decluttering journey is a good thing 😊
Florenceem, very kind of you to take in the sm delivery 😊 That fruit loaf looks delicious - I am salivating 🤤 & can almost taste it 😉
Brie, I never read the book “Perfume” but I do remember the film - fascinating but also very disturbing 😳
I have caught up on a couple of pages so will post this & come back later 😉

I have def rested on my 2 weeks off! I was soooo bored yesterday I got on my own nerves 🤣 and couldn’t settle to anything. Better today. Making some more icicles- silver glitter this time. And strenuous weeding as the temperature has finally dropped to comfortable (for me). Very little seems to have been crossed off The List but recent heat has not helped at all.
I seem to be rounding up great big spiders to relocate outside. I don’t mind them but I draw the limit at them stampeding across my pillow.
be safe everyone!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering
