Hi all, sunny and hot here today so 4 LDFPA including the bedding so got in a lather putting the clean quilt cover on
. Tried to do some work in the garden but stymied by not being able to find the electric saw, I am removing a big buddleia and have got to the point where it is too big for the loppers. I think it is at OHs house and next time I am there I will have a good hunt for it but it is extremely annoying
. I did get my ladders back on Monday which means I can crack on with some high jobs soon, looking at the porch which needs decorating
. Had a coffee with ln over the fence and did some email sorting after tea, 400 deleted. I am now down to less than 400 in my inbox so that should be sorted soon and then I just have to go through the emails I have filed to see what I can delete which will take more time. I have also contacted a roofer for a quote to get the facia boards on the gable end replaced with upvc ones as I have decided I am not going up long ladders anymore to maintain the current wooden ones, just too much work
Sorry I have not caught up with everybody yet so hugs to anybody who would like one
1104 - 1108 LDFPA
1109 - 1112 4 x100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday is another lovely sunny day with clear blue skies & already 22C by 10:15 😊 The garden waste bags have been emptied 👏 but the recycling has yet to be collected 😞 First load of DSis’s bedding is in the wm on a short gentle wash. I had started off so well, but nodded off on the sofa so 12:50 before I put the bedding on the whirligig & I still haven’t managed to watch the film I put on 😔 Recycling still hasn’t been collected & they had been doing so well over the last month 🤷♀️ + although the temperature has gone up to 26C there are now clouds in the sky 😔 Finally managed to watch the film to the end 😉 2nd load in wm & everything dried outside. Now just have to remake DSis’s bed - difficult because she has so much furniture in her room 😥 Second lovely surprise of the day was that my DB phoned. He was very chatty so we had a nice long conversation & he also provided new bank details so I will be able to complete one of last weeks frogs 🥳 Did some more knitting. Dinner was chips, burger, eggs & refried beans for DH whilst I had a burger, egg & lettuce sandwich. Wudupa.

Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏
Excellent decluttering Brie 👏 So pleased that you have managed to find a great home for your Mum’s partially completed tapestry 😊 Love the painting - definite catattitude 😅
Excellent decluttering Florenceem - I see you are still well ahead of your monthly target + have nearly hit 10,000 items for the year so far 😊
Lovely to see you retiredinfrance 👋 I agree that “declutterati chums” sounds so much more personal 😊 Excellent decluttering by both you & DH 👏 It really appears that he is fully embracing the decluttering ethos 🥳 By reaching 310/365 you have earned another Gold Star ⭐️ - congratulations 👏 I am keeping everything crossed that you start getting a decent amount of rain every night 🤞From what my DB said, Germany seems to be getting France’s share of rain 😔 Loving the very practical & useful idea of French grannies rehoming toys, puzzles & games 😊 True community spirit 😊
Floss, I agree “rehomed not rehired” is a lovely turn of phrase 😊
daisy_1571, thanks for this 👏 I rather like him - chatty & friendly 🙂 Also like the re-framing “essentialism” rather than minimalism. Plenty to think about & might just be another string to my decluttering bow 🤔
oceanspirit, sounds like a lovely morning 😊 & you still managed a productive afternoon as well 👏
Excellent decluttering & completion of various tasks Liverpool_Anne 👏 Fingers crossed that the electric saw is at OH’s house & that the weather stays nice enough so that you can chop down the buddleia 🤞Excellent work sorting & deleting emails 👏 & hopefully the filed emails can be dealt with quickly 🤞 I highly recommend upvc facia boards - so much easier to deal with - just need cleaning very occasionally 😊
Hope everyone has a good night’s sleep 😴

Morning and welcome @kr147 A bag a week is a great target to have.DS1 came downstairs yesterday with armfuls of clothes and asking me what to do with them. So, the clothes filled a bin bag and it will go off for textile recycling. I dont think any of it is good enough for the charity shops!Annoyingly this was about 30 mins after I had returned from the tip to take over 10 bags of garden waste. Our 2 green bins are full and there is still so much to do, but I was running out of bags!!!As for today I need to get back to that huge toad I started tackling and move it along a bit more! Plus some other frogs but not really feeling it yet this morning.Hoping the whether stays dries as we have a picnic and outdoor Shakespeare perfomance this evening on Brownsea Island.have a good day allFlowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

I've tackled the life insurance / burial insurance papers from my father's funeral. I thought one of the insurances had paid out too little, but it turns out that it's indexed once every 3 years, and Dad missed the next index by 1 month. That's a difference of about €300There were insurance papers going back to 1971, and those firms have merged like reverse-amoebes! Some internetdigging and phoning, (and very helpful customer service staff!) and there is just 1 company left that needs to reply to my email. The pool pump has suddenly started taking in air and won't pump properly anymore. I've trouble-shot, but I can't reach the part. We have a spare pump that I need to buy a filter for. (I somehow have a filter that doesn't fit? How did it end up in my garage? It's 1 of an opened 2-pack, so did I use the other? Do I know anyone who can use it? So many questions!)DD1 had her annual eye-check at the hospital this morning. We were the first patients there, so in-and-out in 15 minutes. Hi kr147👋 welcome.I am with you rif. I got rid of my lecreuset pans ten years ago when I started with arthritis in my hands. I just don’t have the strength to lift them. Dangerous if full of hot food.We are on the way to Oxfordshire. Lane closures, wide loads, temporary lights. Only taken 4 hours so far!!! Usually a 3 hour drive, still another hour to go.The house is still a dirty, dusty mess. Plaster board going up today. Plumber and electrician came yesterday.Things being ousted as I find them. We have a garden table in the car on its way to its new home.I am still buying a few things for the cruise. Mostly secondhand. I will probably only wear them a couple of times before donating. Not lost quite as much weight as I would have hoped. 24lbs decluttered. I am wearing smaller clothes but I don’t think anyone can tell!
Hope you are getting to enjoy this nice weather.Vx:18 -
Ps. Brie, firstly, lovely cat and art. Secondly, just what I would do with the photo montage is dismantle, keep the photos and get rid of the frame. Entirely based on photos take up less room without the frame. I would be tempted to to the same with your mil’s frame too. X:17

What a cute cat Brie.
The plasterer was here this morning and got rid of the plaster on one of our walls where we had the water leak. It is luckily covered by our insurance or we would have had to declutter about £1,500 from our bank account! He is coming back to pick up the plaster next week. I was watching the women's football with my husband and brother while he was here. We decluttered our dog to the kennel while the work was being done and so I went out to lunch with my little bro which was nice.
The bulky waste is being picked up on Monday. I am tempted to ask them if they can take the ripped off plaster with them!

Not much happening here as work has already started to get really busy, so not expecting much of myself the next couple of months. Will try and keep on top of some tidying and hopefully get rid of the odd thing and use some stuff up.My parents found a load of stuff in their attic that was mine (I thought I'd already taken everything). Some are puzzles which are useful as I've run out of ones to do. I will do those and then only keep selective ones - the rest can go on Buy Nothing. Most of the stuff I told them to bin, but will take a few things like my uni project. More stuff to sort out when they come on SundayDoing well using up food supplies, but little other progress and as always I'm a bit behind on the tidying up.Digital:
