1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I decided to make use of Wednesday’s good weather - stripped both our & DSis’s beds as a prelude to washing. First load (our bedding) has been washed & is now out on the whirligig. 2nd load is in - our clothes. I had a lovely surprise today - a letter from my step aunt (92 years young) - I was beginning to wonder if she was still with us as I had been sending birthday & Christmas cards but not getting any response 😔 Both wm loads dried on the whirligig as it stayed sunny all day 👏 & our bed now has freshly laundered bedding 😊 DH filled the bird feeders & I have finished knitting one scarf. The 2nd half of our curries was reheated & just as delicious. Wudupa.

a successful declutter day (ins and outs)
8 boxes of unwanted herbal tea acquired from the food bank (think they're from the Netherlands, no English on the pack which means lots of people won't actually know they are tea.) Fortunately for me I can muddle through the ingredients well enough to know that these can be shared amongst me and 2 friends and 1 box has already been rehomed.
4 hand crocheted lap blankets collected from one of the friends who likes the tea and they'll all be dropped back to the foodbank tomorrow in readiness for the cold weather to come.
Said friend also took the half finished tapestry mom bought in Madeira in 1986, my home made knitting bag given to me by my adopted grandmother in about 1965, all the yarn and Tunisian hooks in it (thrilled she knew what they were!!!) and the little painting I made of her cat. Not perfect but she likes that I capture the catattitude.

Hello again, declutterati chums( with thanks to Jackie 0 for the use of chums).Lots of progress here after a long delayed start by DH on sorting the garage. Thanks so much for our medals, Mrs SD,. I was beginning to think the one for DH was a bit premature as we have had one tidy corner and an absolute mess on the other side of the garage . He got down to it these last few days and we also emptied the 4 cupboards in the kitchen. I came back from shopping to find the contents piled on the kitchen table. He thought that we could put some of that stuff in the garage. And so it turned out.So,
47 books
5 mags
2 cloths to rag recycling
1 tea towel to rag recycling
1 unopened bottle of washing liquid for black clothes. My DSis bought it some 15 years ago and never used it. To CS
4 bottles of aperitifs to CS for their fundraising Christmas Party. Again unopened - gifts from neighbours and we don’t really like or need them. Anyway I was not going to disagree with DH as Out is Out.
1 small pile of rubble from the back of the cupboards which must have got shaken down when the house was replumbed.
I have had a holiday with DS in UK,
3 games for DGC rehired from a granny friend whose DGC were past them.
1 pile of stickers for DGC
And as I was buying replacements in UK,
1 blouse
1 bra,
1 Tshirt,
1 dress
1 vood deodorant that smelled vile to bin
3 surplus medications to pharmacy.So,
Totals
73+236=309/365
Sorry, forgot to add
1 Le Creuset - cooking pot- too big and too heavy for me now when full of food. We brought it here as it was “too good to go” to the CS - again being influenced by the cost of the pot rather than its lack of suitability for me as an elderly cook.
Now off to the CS.So new total
310/365.
PS The weather here is lovely with lower than normal temperatures but with a serious drought.
Keep safe everyone and lots of hugs for you all .15 -
Rehomed and not rehired. This is a feature of life here. Grannies ask how old are your DGC and the next time you see them , games etc are offered, ones that their DGC have grown out of. Needless to say, all very little used and of good quality. Everyone likes to have something for them when the family come to visit.16 -

Just 10 minutes but seems like a nice chap. Some interesting turns of phrases might resonate with someone who needs his words tonight.
Hugs to everyone. Sorry to read recently about rabbit missing his buddy, errant family members, illness or injury or just a bit of overwhelm amongst other things. Happy to read of the happy news as well.
Take care declutterati chums
